Barr Successful in Debut as 'Canes Thrash Florida Atlantic

Miami Herald September 1, 2014 Barr was all smiles after his team beat up Florida Atlantic 41-7 on Saturday. "It feels good to get that first win under my belt here at Miami," Parr said after the game. "At the same time, this is just the beginning of what these guys are capable. This team should be very fun to watch, and I definitely enjoyed being out there today." Florida Atlantic never had a chance, as Miami scored early and often, and the second team was out by the end of the third quarter. Starting QB, senior Ryan Williams threw for three TDs, and running back Duke Johnson Jr. ran for 115 yards on just 12 carries. Senior tight end Beau Sandland said of Barr after the game, "He really seemed to be working well with the guys. He's a real leader in the locker room, and I'm extremely happy to be a part of his team." New Series Debuts(Preview)

Miami Herald August 25, 2014 Hi, I'm Raxxy Dawg here, back with your 'Canes sports beat. Excitement is building as new coach Cliff Barr gets set to make his season debut with the 'Canes football team just one week from today. Barr replaces former head coach Al Golden, and the future looks bright for the team. Barr has mentioned what he hopes to accomplish with this team, including promising delivering a national title during his time here. Whether or not Barr can deliver on his promise, this reporter cannot be more hyped for the many changes coming, including the new pro-style offense Barr will show off in the season debut next week against FAU.

Hi all, I last posted on this blog at the start of the last school year, but I got overwhelmed by schoolwork, and the blog was temporarily postponed. Due to personal reasons, I am not currently in school, and so I am trying a possible return to posting on this blog. If you see this post, then I've returned to the blog, and will start posting soon.
