Country Report

Good morning. My name is Henry. I am going to take you on a trip to the country of China. I chose China because my mom was born in China.

China is on the continent of Asia. The closest ocean is the Pacific Ocean. The capital city of China is Beijing. Most people in China speak Mandarin.

I'd like to tell you something about the foods of China. The food they eat there is sometimes like the food we eat here. Like noodles. We eat noodles here but in China they eat noodles more often. We eat rice too but in China they eat rice more often.

Those are some of the things they eat. Now I'd like to compare our American culture to the culture of China.

First here are some differences. In America, we eat steak but in China they eat Peking duck. We also have phonics but in China they have memorization.

There are also many similarities between China and America. We both have schools, rice, noodles and many other things. Both countries also have nice schools that we learn in. We also have chopsticks.

So even though there are many differences between the cultures of the two countries, you can see that we have a lot in common.
