Henry's Universe Mode #51: Raw

This episode of Raw is a very special one. Not only are there five big matches planned, but the main event is the Women's Title Match between Nia Jax and Chyna, marking the first time women have main evented a Universe Mode show. On with the show!

CM Punk(c) vs Mark Henry- Intercontinental Title Match

Punk has refused to allow John Cena a fair chance at the IC belt, walking out of their match last week, but instead offered a chance to anyone else in the locker room. Mark Henry accepted, and found himself in a title match to open Raw. Punk outwrestled his massive challenger early on, but Henry landed a few power moves and quickly asserted his dominance. Several big headbutts, a World's Strongest Slam and a big splash all connected, but nothing seemed to put the champion away. Finally, Henry grabbed a chair, intending to bash Punk in the skull with it. The ref stopped Henry, and in the comotion, Punk lifted the big man off his feet and nearly knocked him out with a GTS for the victory.

Winner and still Intercontinental Champion: CM Punk

Shawn Michaels vs Mankind

HBK shockingly turned his back on his partner Triple H last week, after a frustrating few months for the duo. Michaels said simply that Triple H was "hogging the spotlight" and that HBK wanted to prove he had always been the better member of D-X. Michaels quickly showed a new side of himself, ambushing Mankind during his entrance, and hitting him several times with a sledgehammer, HHH's signature weapon, before the match could begin. Michaels taunted the crowd several times with his high-flying offense, but refused to execute any exciting moves, instead hitting Mankind with rights and lefts. His offense was effective and brutal, and Mankind never really got into the contest. The ending came not via Sweet Chin Music, which Michaels refused to use, but through an excellently executed Sharpshooter, as Mankind was forced to tap out.

Winner: Shawn Michaels

Team USA(Ryback, Jack Swagger, Ken Shamrock) vs The International Alliance(Sheamus, Andre the Giant, Umaga)- Six-man Elimination Tag Team Match

This was a special added on match for this July 4th episode, as we got a six-man tag team elimination match. Team USA had a decent start, until Andre was tagged into the match, and The Giant went on a rampage, eliminating Ken Shamrock. Ryback was very impressive, lifting Andre into a Shell Shocked, but Andre managed to kick out in time. A fresh Umaga then tagged in, and eliminated Ryback with a Samoan Smasher, leaving Jack Swagger all alone. Swagger fought hard, nearly eliminating Umaga with a Gutwrench Powerbomb. Swagger just didn't have enough, and when Umaga countered a big boot into a Samoan Spike, it was lights out for Team USA.

Winners: The International Alliance

Erick Rowan vs Luke Harper

With Bray Wyatt still recovering from his injuries, the Wyatt Family were falling apart after their loss last week to The Outsiders. Harper challenged Rowan to a match to settle their differences, and Rowan quickly accepted. The match was an all out war, both men beating the stuffing out of each other. Rights and lefts, big slams, the steel post got involved and so did the metal barricade. Both men were bloodied, and both looked defeated. It was a very even match throughout, but the ending came after Rowan missed on a top rope move. Harper hit him with a Discus Clothesline, and finally the match came to an end. Only the future will tell if these two came remain a tag team, or if this was the end of their partnership.

Winner: Luke Harper

Nia Jax(c) vs Chyna- Extreme Rules Match for the WWE Women's Title

The Raw GM added an Extreme Rules stipulation to this match, as both women were ready to tear each other apart. The challenger came right out swinging, bashing Nia with steel chairs, kendo sticks and tables, though none were enough to keep the champion down for long. Nia retaliated, nearly finishing off Chyna, putting her through a table with a big splash. Nia then slammed Chyna on the broken shards of the table, before connecting on a big leg drop that was not quite enough. The two women then took the fight to the outside, attempting to bash each other's brains out with steel chairs and sledgehammers. Finally, mercifully, it all came to an abrupt end when Nia looked to put Chyna through a second table. She was too slow, and Chyna capitalized, sending the champion through the table with a Gorilla Press Slam. Chyna covered Nia in the midst of the wreckage to become a two-time Women's Champion.

Winner and the NEW WWE Women's Champion: Chyna

Chyna avenged her loss a few weeks ago in a big way, slamming Nia Jax through a table to become the third multi-time champion in Universe Mode. Stay tuned for NXT.

Henry's Pay-Per-View Reviews: ECW Heatwave 1998

As the world collectively loses it's mind over the coronavirus(this could be a fun intro to look back on in the future), the only sanity that can be found is in the ring. Let's take a look today at what is often considered ECW's finest outing, Heatwave '98. - Jokes aside, everyone should stay safe out there. I know it's easy to panic about these mass outbreaks, and I've certainly felt very nervous about everything I've heard and read over the past week. But I think we all need some fun in our lives right now, and this show is the epitome of distraction. - The opening contest is one of the highlights of the night, as Jerry Lynn takes on Justin Credible. Credible has an entire entourage in his corner, including Chastity, Jason and Nicole Bass, and their involvement in this match at times bordered on excessive. But the match begins to hit it's peak when Lynn puts Credible through a table with a hurricanrana, and it's all fantastic from...

American Dad "Twinanigans" Review

It's been a while since the last Steve and Roger episode, and this week reminded me why that's such a classic American Dad pairing. This is a genuinely fun episode, filled with some great one liners and even a great callback to the show's past. "Twinanigans" centers around the heretofore unmentioned acting careers of Roger and Steve, who twinned it up as the Smith Brothers. I'm not going to question whether this backstory actually makes sense to the overall timeline; no one watches American Dad for continuity. Steve had to give up acting to attend kindergarten, and wants to give Roger a second chance at greatness. The two head to auditions, where Steve impresses and Roger blows it. It's here the episode kinda misfires, as it's never made abundantly clear why Roger struggles so much at acting. Is he just trying too hard, does he have some form of stage fright, does he not even know what acting is? This part of the story is just never explained, w...

The Route of Life

dedicated to my hermits, who changed my life Ch 1 My Hermit crabs Hermit crabs are sometimes hard to take care of. Especially when you never had a hermit. Last Sunday afternoon I got 2 Hermit crabs. Their names are Crabbe and Goyle. I have talked with many sales people. The first Petco we went to (where we got the hermits and their things) seemed to have no idea on the subject. So we ended up going to Dolphin Pet Village. They were more experience at the subject. Now we have some of the things we will need. Last week, I went to a second Petco. There we got a cuttlebone, which is the bone of a fish. Now they look happy. Have a good day Hermit Crabs! Ch 2 Curious Crab The week before last week, my mom looked into my crabitat and found that one of my crabs had climbed one of my fake trees. It was on the top branch. Later, when I was changing to get ready for bed, the crab fell out of his branch. I hope he is okay. He’s definitely starting to look okay. How funny do you think that story is...
