South Park "Sons A Witches" Review

The following is an important public safety announcement. Attention, all citizens in the United States and across the world. Next Tuesday the 31st bring the annual holiday known as "Halloween". Please, if you are a member of a gang of witches looking to sacrifice a fellow witch to the Devil this Halloween, make sure to bring along some crack. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.  Apologies for this post being out so late. I've been so busy with other projects on the blog this week, I genuinely forgot about my South Park reviews. I made sure to double back and watch this episode earlier today, and boy am I glad I did. It's not a real secret that I've mostly enjoyed this season, with most episodes being quite strong. So far, I have to say that I think this one is my favorite. There's no particular reason for this; "Sons A Witches" is just a strong episode with plenty of laughs. Our main storyline for this week focus

Henry's Universe Mode #203: NXT

It has been a worrying state of affairs for NXT since Takeover: Brooklyn, as after being crowned NXT Champion, the mysterious Aleister Black has completely disappeared. What will become of NXT's top prize is anyone's guess, as to why Black has left and where he has gone. But the show must go on. This episode of NXT will feature the cruiserweight division, as new debutants Akira Tozawa and Gran Metalik will face each other in their first match, while Roderick Strong takes on TJP in NXT's main event. Plus, it's women's action, as the fiery Ruby Riot faces one half of the Iconic Duo, Peyton Royce. Universe Mode NXT September 6th, 2017 Location: Full Sail University Peyton Royce vs Ruby Riot From the start, the energetic Ruby Riot understood that she would have the odds stacked against her with Billie Kay at ringisde, and went right on the attack. For much of the match, Royce would be on the back foot, until a distraction from Kay allowed her to conne

Madden 18: The Rebuild(Episode 1)

Welcome to the very first episode of The Rebuild. The plan for this series is to post four games per episode, which should get us through seasons fairly quickly. In this very first episode, we play the first four games of the first season, including divisional match-ups against the Cardinals and Seahawks. Week 1(at Los Angeles Rams) We opened up the season on the road, taking on the Rams, who have two of our former players in left end Henry Anderson and defensive tackle Al Woods. This was an ugly game, with both teams committing plenty of turnovers. Starting QB Jacoby Brissett was absolutely atrocious(9-18, 0 TD, 3 INT), never really managing to move the ball, and was benched in the fourth quarter in favor of Chad Kelly. Despite that, the Colts defense put on a show. D'Joun Smith and Quincy Wilson each picked off Jared Goff, but the highlight of the game was Antonio Morrison's strip sack which resulted in a Scott Crichton defensive touchdown. In the end, consecutive sa

The Dog League: Week 8 Preview(2017 Season)

You can find the Week 7 Review here . (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Leaping Girl It's been a tough two weeks for Emma, as after failing to get four yards to topple the Tailwaggerz, she played well against Rascal, who still beat her quite easily. It doesn't get any easier against Tug of War this week, but she does bring in a strong line-up. Emma made one waiver move this week, acquiring Doug Martin for Ty Montgomery. She brought the Seahawks defense into her line-up, but perhaps her most interesting moves were the ones she didn't make, as she chose not to start Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins against her defense. Henry's Universe Mode #202: SmackDown Live

Welcome to SmackDown Live, where GM Daniel Bryan will open the show this week, with a huge announcement concerning both Raw and SmackDown's women's divisions. Kevin Owens will make his blue brand debut this week, as he takes on the fast-talking Enzo Amore. Plus, Naomi looks to make Alexa Bliss feel the glow, and former Intercontinental Champion Randy Orton faces the Wyatt Family's Luke Harper. Universe Mode SmackDown Live September 5th, 2017 Location: Philadelphia, PA Daniel Bryan Promo SmackDown's GM opened the show, thanking the fans in attendance for a warm reception. He cut straight to the point, saying that since SmackDown became it's own show and gained it's own identity, they have provided some of the best women's wrestling on the planet. And since Bryan took charge, he's always wanted to prove that the blue brand contains the best female athletes on the roster. At No Mercy, SmackDown will get that chance. As part of an agreemen

Henry's Universe Mode #201: Raw

Welcome back to Henry's Universe Mode, it feels like we never left. Tonight, we return with a bang, as the King of Strong Style, Shinsuke Nakamura, will open the show against the Bizarre One, Goldust. Curt Hawkins makes his Raw debut tonight, as he goes one on one with Dolph Ziggler. Can Ziggler pull out the win, or will the Showoff be forced to Face the Facts? Plus, after shocking the world by reuniting at Summerslam, the Shield is back on Monday Nights. The Hounds of Justice have offered an open challenge in Raw's main event. Who will answer the call? Universe Mode Monday Night Raw September 4th, 2017 Location: Rosemont, IL Shinsuke Nakamura vs Goldust We kicked off Raw in a big way, in this case literally, as Shinsuke Nakamura quickly went to work on Goldust in our opening contest. Goldust was unable to avoid many of Nakamura's smooth, precise strikes, and ended up having to rely more on a power game to survive. The veteran's new tricks might'v

TLC 2017 Recap

You know, over the years, I've heard plenty of people try to describe what they want out of the WWE product. Most of it I don't agree with, some of it I do. That's simply the nature of opinions. For me, the biggest thing I look for, especially when watching pay-per-views, is entertainment. I want to care about what I'm watching, and I want to feel like something major is occurring when I'm watching. And I felt that way tonight. TLC 2015 Score: 6/10 TLC 2016 Score: 7/10 - Before we get going, though, I do have something to get off my chest. Commentary tonight was absolutely atrocious, and I think most of the blame for that is on Booker. I do generally like his style, but he was terrible tonight.  - Let's move on to the good, which was Asuka's debut. I've seen a lot of negativity about her opening contest, and I just don't get it. If you want to get someone over, as I'll discuss later on, the best way to do it is by making the f

Madden 18: The Rebuild(Introduction)

Welcome to my the newest series to hit my blog. This is a Madden 18 Franchise Mode series, mostly inspired by YouTuber Beardmohbox(whose channel you can find here ). I'm calling it The Rebuild, and here's how it works. The Rebuild- Summary and Rules - The team chosen for this series will be the Indianapolis Colts. This isn't really a personal choice; they simply have the best set up for what I want to run. - To start off The Rebuild, I will be trading away or releasing almost the entire team, and creating a completely different identity for the Colts. There are three exceptions to this rule: all rookies will stay, as will any player under 75 overall. I will also be keeping Adam Vinatieri, as he's a legend of the team and should stay. - I will be using rosters from Week 1 of the season. The reason for this is to create an even playing field for all 32 teams, making sure that this season's results don't help or hinder any team in any way. - I will b

Henry's Universe Mode #200: Recap of Season Three(Thus Far)

Welcome to the 200th episode(although not the 200th post) of Henry's Universe Mode! With the series set to return soon with the build towards No Mercy, I thought it would be appropriate to recap everything that's gone down in Season Three, at least up until now. For anyone new to the series or just anyone who needs a refresher after a few months away, this is for you. Enjoy, and I'll see you for the official return of Henry's Universe Mode very, very soon. Monday Night Raw We began Season Three immediately following WrestleMania, where Samoa Joe toppled Goldberg to become the new World Heavyweight Champion, although the belt was soon renamed to become the Universal Championship. Seth Rollins would be the first to take on "The Destroyer", returning to Raw after his injury to defeat Finn Balor. In Joe and Rollins' first ever meeting at Payback, Braun Strowman would ruin their championship match, intent on making a name for himself after joining the re

My TLC 2017 Preview

After missing out on a Hell in a Cell preview thanks to TV problems, I was all ready to sit down and break down the card in nice, neat fashion. But let's just skip the formalities and get right to it. What the f*** is happening? The card was already completely bonkers, with "Pumpkin Demon" Finn Balor taking on "Man in Drag" Bray Wyatt, and with the reunion of the Shield to face the oddball alliance of The Bar, The Miz, Braun Strowman and Kane. But now, thanks to viral goddamn meningitis, all bets are off. Kurt Angle, having not wrestled in a WWE ring for over a decade, has apparently joined the Shield, while AJ Styles will now face Balor in a legit dream match with no build whatsoever. So what is the end result of all of this madness? I'm not really sure. The Shield was always going to be winning and standing tall at the end of the night, and surely there's no way Angle is returning to do the job, right? I honestly have no clue where Balor-Wyatt wa

The Dog League: Week 7 Preview(2017 Season)

So, because of the return of Henry's Universe Mode and another new series that will start soon, the review posts of the Dog League are no more. However, the document is still made by me on Google Drive, and you can check it out here . With that out of the way, on to Week 7. (Reminder: the Dog League is a fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Leaping Girl We start with Leaping Girl, who suffered a tough, tough loss last week against the Tailwaggerz, when she couldn't manage to get four yards in almost 11 minutes on Monday night. Emma did make one waiver move this week, bringing in Jimmy Graham for the unimpressive Delanie Walker. With her two Texans, Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins, on bye, she moved Drew Brees and Dez Bryant back into the starting line-up. She also brought in LeSean McCoy for the potentially injured DeMarco Murray. South Park "Hummels & Heroin" Review

A strong season of South Park continues with a Killer Mike rap, a collection of Hummels and some old lady farts. I'll be damned if I didn't laugh out loud a solid three or four times in this episode. South Park has always worked well as a show that takes very serious issues and turns them completely on their head. In this case, it's the nation's current opioid crisis. The show doesn't really go to hard into the issue, instead working to tell their own story in their own way. The boys are once more the focus of the episode, with Stan in particular getting the spotlight. His interactions with his grandfather, as well as the general state of the nursing home he's staying at, take up most of the airtime, and produce a top quality main storyline. If you've ever seen a show centered around a prison, you'll probably get the gist of what Matt and Trey are going for here. All the stereotypes are in play, from the "head bitch" Ms. McGillicuddy and

A Resolution

Last week, I uploaded a post detailing my thoughts and plans relating to WWE 2k18. You can find that post here . In it, I discussed my problems with the original run of Henry's Universe Mode, and my subsequent plans for the new game, including The Revolution. Since then, I've been working on what I want to do next, and I've also gotten my hands on the game, and been working on there as well. And, after hours of work, thinking and planning, I've made my decision. Henry's Universe Mode will return later this month. In the end, it was simply easier for me to stay the course, and continue to develop the world that I spent over a year and a half creating. I've not planned to make any huge changes to the series, at least content wise. We'll be starting in September 2017, with the fallout from Summerslam. I've decided to go back to dual-branded, once a month pay-per-views, as I feel it gives them more purpose. No Mercy will be the first pay-per-view back for

My WWE 2k18 Plans

So, this post has been a long time coming. For a few months now, I've been working on my plans for WWE 2k18, and I'm currently at a bit of a crossroads. To explain fully, I'll need to go into some detail. Excuse if I ramble a bit, as there's a lot to talk about, but hopefully when I'm finished, you should understand my thinking a little better. Earlier this year, I considered making the decision to cancel Henry's Universe Mode. This wasn't exactly a new thought; I've thought about cancelling the series multiple times over the past year or so. Most of my problems came during the switch from 2k16 to 2k17, when the series underwent a dramatic shift. For the most part, I thought my work during 2k17 was far better, but the shift in style and in roster created a lot of continuity errors and mucked up a lot of future plans. The biggest of these were my initial plans for WrestleMania. The two headline matches for that show were scheduled to be a Shield triple

South Park "Franchise Prequel" Review

After a week away, South Park delivers a fun but forgettable tie-in to their upcoming video game, featuring Facebook and the return of Coon and Friends. It it wasn't obvious enough by the title or the description of the episode, "Franchise Prequel" is mostly here as a reminder that a new South Park game is on the horizon. In that way, it does work, and if you weren't planning on purchasing the game before, I think this episode would do a good job of selling it to you now. I did find this episode enjoyable enough, but as I said in the intro, it's completely forgettable. This is your standard, run of the mill, mid-season South Park episode, with enough good gags to be funny, but without the content or stories to make the landing stick. This episode is basically broken into two two parts: there's the on-going conflict between Butters' Professor Chaos and the boys' Coon and Friends, and the involvement of Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook. All told, I thi

The Dog League: Week 6 Preview(2017 Season)

It's time for Week 6 of the Dog League. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Leaping Girl Despite being on a two game winning streak, there were plenty of changes this week for Leaping Girl. Latavius Murray was out after just one game on the bench, exchanged for teammate Jerick McKinnon, who will be an unlikely starter this week. Struggling wide receiver Amari Cooper has been dropped as well, in favor of the Patriots' Chris Hogan. And with the Seahawks defense on bye, Emma let go of Alshon Jeffery, bringing in the red hot Jaguars defense. Week 6 Starting Line-Up(vs Tailwaggerz) QB Deshaun Watson RB DeMarco Murray RB Jerick McKinnon WR Chris Hogan WR DeAndre Hopkins TE Delanie Walker WR T.Y. The Dog League: Week 5 Review(2017 Season)

A historic Week 5 in the Dog League sees perhaps one of the greatest games is league history. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Leaping Girl The game itself may be up for debate as the greatest game in Dog League history, but there's no doubt that Emma's nail-biting win over Tug of War is her biggest win in team history. Most of the credit for this incredible upset has to go to her duo of Houston Texans, Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins. The quarterback-receiver combo totaled over 58 combined points late on Sunday night, propelling Leaping Girl to their second consecutive win. Week 5 Scoring(won against Tug of War 131.94-130.44) QB Deshaun Watson(35.54 points) RB LeSean McCoy(8.9 points) RB DeMarco Murray(4.9 points) WR Dez Bryant(11.2 points) WR DeAndre Hopkins(23.2 points) TE Delanie Walker(2.5 points) WR T.Y. Hell in a Cell 2017 Recap

First off, I would like to explain why there was no preview post for this pay-per-view. I set up my schedule during this week, as always, to do the post on Saturday, the same date I publish it. I was busy during the day, and left a time window last night to work on and finish the post. Before I could, our TV provider ruined everything, locking me out of every account. Now, this doesn't really have a lot to do with my blog, but it was something that needed fixing, so I gave that my full attention. By the time that mess was sorted out, the block I had set out was gone. Apologies, these things happen. Hell in a Cell 2015 Score: 7/10 Hell in a Cell 2016 Score: 5/10 - Boy, I have never see a pay-per-view with this many great highs and terrifying lows in my life. This was easily the most inconsistent show I've reviewed for this blog, and I'm still not really sure how I feel about it. I will say that for a near four hour show, it was a pretty easy watch, and in the

The Dog League: Week 5 Preview(2017 Season)

Week 5 of the Dog League is about to get underway, and with plenty of injuries and bye weeks to go around, it could be a very interesting week. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Leaping Girl To start off, Emma had a big decision to make, with running back Dalvin Cook out for the season. She activated Option C, bringing in Latavius Murray as his replacement. With Drew Brees out on bye this week, she also brought in rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson, who will make his first Dog League appearance on Sunday Night. DeMarco Murray also moves up in the world, as he returns to the starting line-up in place of the banged up Ty Montgomery. T.Y. Hilton will also start this week, as he has a favorable match-up against the 49ers.  Week 5 Starting Line-Up(vs Tug of War) QB Deshaun Watson RB LeSean McCoy RB DeMarco Murray WR Dez Bryant WR DeAndre Hopkins TE Delanie Walker WR T.Y. The Dog League: Week 4 Review(2017 Season)

The first quarter of the season came to an end this past week, and boy was it a week to behold. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Leaping Girl It was certainly the dawn of a new day in the Dog League for Leaping Girl last week, as Emma finally collected her first win of the season. Big days from Drew Brees, DeAndre Hopkins and Seahawks defense carried her to her first win over the Ridiculous Rascals, but it was not without its drawbacks. Namely, the injuries to running backs Ty Montgomery and Dalvin Cook. Emma will certainly have some big decisions to make going forward. Week 4 Scoring(won against Ridiculous Rascals 98.62-86.98) QB Drew Brees(19.02 points) RB LeSean McCoy(10.8 points) RB Ty Montgomery(2.8 points) WR Dez Bryant(9.8 points) WR DeAndre Hopkins(16.7 points) TE Delanie Walker(5.1 points) RB Dalvin Cook(11.4 points) K Justin Tucker(3 points) DEF Seattle Seahawks(20 points) Tailwaggerz Another big week from
