Welcome to the beautiful city of Toronto, the site of NXT's second international Takeover event. Tonight, all four of NXT's championships will be on the line. Plus, a new number one contender is crowned. Welcome to the North. Universe Mode NXT Takeover: Toronto November 19th, 2017 Location: Toronto, CA Cedric Alexander vs Kassius Ohno Although Kassius Ohno is a respected veteran of the NXT locker room, the Toronto crowd was clearly on the side of Cedric Alexander tonight. Alexander opened with a flurry of offense, striking Ohno from every angle, trying to keep the bigger man down with a springboard moonsault. Eventually, the Knockout Artist was back to his feet, sending Cedric sprawling with a nasty elbow. The two traded near falls,

Henry's Universe Mode: NXT Takeover: Toronto Preview

NXT's next Takeover event sees the brand of the future once again leave the US, as they head to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Let's take a look at the card for this event, which will see a new NXT Champion be crowned. NXT Takeover: Toronto Preview Cedric Alexander vs Kassius Ohno After Kassius Ohno picked up a huge win over former NXT Champion Hideo Itami on NXT in mid-October, William Regal decided that he would get a number one contendership match. In a battle royal featuring members of the NXT roster that had never won championship gold, Cedric Alexander won, last eliminating Killian Dain. With that, Regal signed off on this match, with the winner challenging for the NXT Championship at the next Takeover event. Nikki Cross(c) vs Peyton Royce- NXT Women's Championship Match The Iconic Duo have been targeting the champion over the past few months, attacking Nikki Cross after a successful title defenses against Natalya and Ember Moon. Cross returned the favor,

Henry's Universe Mode #217: Halloween Havoc(Part 2)

Welcome to Part 2 of Halloween Havoc, where Nia Jax challenges Alexa Bliss for the SmackDown Women's Championship, Braun Strowman and Finn Balor face off in a TLC match and Bray Wyatt looks to capture the WWE Championship. Alexa Bliss(c) vs Nia Jax- SmackDown Women's Championship For all Alexa Bliss has done on SmackDown Live, a motivated and destructive Nia Jax, hell bent on laying claim to the championship and avenging her defeat at Backlash, was just a step too far ahead. With the Detroit crowd surprisingly in the challenger's corner, Jax was every bit as dominant as promised. A running flip senton and impactful Samoan drop brought this snuff film of a championship match to an end, and from the ashes rose a new women's champion, who could perhaps rule the SmackDown women's division for as long as she wants. Winner and the NEW SmackDown Women's Champion: Nia Jax Braun Strowman(c) vs Finn Balor- Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match for the Universal C

Henry's Universe Mode #216: Halloween Havoc(Part 1)

Tonight, we celebrate darkness, despair and decay. Tonight, we honor the depravity of life, and of those that are willing to travel the path less taken. In a battle months in the making, Finn Balor embraces his dark side, as he looks to harness the power of his Demon to dethrone the unstoppable force that is Braun Strowman. Alexa Bliss must face a monster from her past, and in our main event, John Cena defends his spot atop SmackDown Live against the disturbed and motivated Bray Wyatt. And now, Raw and SmackDown present..............Halloween Havoc! Henry's Universe Mode: Halloween Havoc Preview

I know I've bounced around a few different series recently, and I can say that it's been pretty difficult to find something that sticks. In times of need, you go back to your roots. Therefore, today I can declare that the five month hiatus of Henry's Universe Mode has officially come to an end. I've spent the past few days updating the wiki  and preparing for the return of this series. To that end, there are going to be a few changes moving forward. In classic WWE fashion, I've retconned one of the big changes to the product. If you remember, back at No Mercy, Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss unified both women's championships. That was a dumb decision, and I'm happy to say it's been reversed. That was just a Champion vs Champion match, and both women get to keep their titles. I really want to get to the second WrestleMania of this series, and the second WWE Draft, so until then, I will only be posting pay-per-views(and preview posts). I've reworked a

American Dad "Mean Francine" Review

It's not often Francine gets the main spot in a story, not to mention an episode named after her. "Mean Francine" attempts to give the matriarch of the Smith family her own starring role this week, and while the episode never quite clicked with me, it was a noble effort. After a cold opening that can best be described as pure chaos, things get moving in the main story pretty quickly this week. Francine is the new guidance counselor at Steve's school, and immediately becomes concerned for her son, believing that his French Club fashion show will get him in trouble socially. This story is honestly quite straightforward, which I was a little disappointed about. The antagonists of this episode, the "Golden Girls", are easily the worst part of this plot, and I found it extremely hard to care about them or Francine's attempts to join their group. I did find her attempts to justify her behavior pretty funny, and the scenes with Stan and Klaus trying to g

Backlash 2018 Recap

Backlash 2016 Score: 9/10 Backlash 2017 Score: 5/10 - Well, I think this is the first time in history this has happened. Guys, I don't really have a lot to offer about this show. Most of the matches were not great, although there was nothing that completely stood as terrible. It was all......just so pointless. Even a great match, like Rollins vs Miz, was extremely predictable, and turned something good into something forgettable. It just felt like everyone didn't care, from the booking staff to a large majority of the wrestlers, to the fans in attendance. Nothing on this show felt right, and nothing felt like it belonged on a pay-per-view card, to be brutally honest. I feel like Greatest Royal Rumble got a bad rap as the "glorified house show", because this felt a lot more like that. I've run out of energy to talk about this show. One to forget, really.  3/10(marked down for feeling completely unnecessary) Throughout my time as a WWE fan,

American Dad "OreTron Trail" Review

So, I'm mostly settled in from my move, at least enough to begin posting on the blog again. Here's the second episode of American Dad I have reviewed, Season 15, Episode 12 "OreTron Trail". (Quick note: for those unfamiliar with American Dad, I'm not planning on doing any backstory or anything for the show. If you're new to AD, I highly suggest going back and watching older episodes; seasons 4-6 are some of the best seasons from any show I've ever seen.) Roger-centric episodes are normally always very welcome to see on the slate, as the character could probably be described as the heart of the show. Here, we see him struggling to cope with the inevitability of the Smith family's deaths, as being an alien, he can easily outlive all of them. It's an easy enough message to get across, and helps Roger's actions make much more sense in context. He allows the family to think he died in a car crash, and completely changes his life, becoming a
