Henry's Universe Mode #169: Extreme Rules

For most of the year, men and women will go to war. Competition is welcomed, cheating discouraged. Intelligence and skill are the deciding factors, the keys to victory and the downfall of defeat. There is one night of the year, though, that is a little different. Chaos embraced, insanity encouraged, even essential. This is that night. Welcome to the Extreme. Hope you enjoy your stay.

And now, Raw presents..............................Extreme Rules!

Chris Jericho(c) vs Kevin Owens- Street Fight for the United States Championship

This was an absolute war to open Extreme Rules, as these two men brawled all over the arena. All the bad blood spilled over quickly, as the fight was taken out of the ring and all the way to the back. Both Jericho and Owens just traded rights and lefts, both men bearing a crimson mask. The challenger delivered multiple powerbombs, including two through separate backstage tables and one onto the desk of Shane McMahon, as the Raw GM watched on. Despite everything, Y2J refused to die and refused to quit, and caught Owens with two Code Breakers to survive and retain his championship.

Winner and still United States Champion: Chris Jericho

Asuka(c) vs Paige vs Sasha Banks- Raw Women's Championship Match

The Empress of Tomorrow had her back against the wall in this match, and fought more desperate then we had ever seen before. The tension ran high throughout the match, as there were near falls galore. Paige nearly won it twice, after delivering a RamPaige to Sasha and then a top rope RamPaige to Asuka, but the champion kicked out. The Legit Boss then locked in the Bank Statement on the Anti-Diva, who seemed to be about to tap out. Asuka took out the official in pure desperation to save her championship. Paige countered the Asuka Lock, falling to the apron, before delivering a suprise sunset flip powerbomb to steal the win. Paige captured the Triple Crown with her third championship, but an enraged Asuka made sure there was no celebration, chasing her from the ring.

Winner and the NEW Raw Women's Champion: Paige

American Alpha(c) vs The Hardy Boyz- Extreme Rules Match for the Raw Tag Team Championships

From the start of this match, it was clear that Chad Gable and Jason Jordan weren't comfortable in an Extreme Rules environment. Jeff and Matt Hardy just went wild with weapons, and the challengers were in control throughout. The champions tried their best, but they were no match. Their impressive championship reign came to an end in impressive fashion, as Matt hit a Twist of Fate on Gable before Jeff followed up with a Swanton Bomb off a ladder to get the win.

Winners and the NEW Raw Tag Team Champions: The Hardy Boyz

Samoa Joe(c) vs Seth Rollins- Steel Cage Match for the Universal Championship

Following a vicious beatdown from Kevin Owens on Raw, you knew Seth Rollins wasn't going to be at 100 percent. You also knew that Rollins was going to give it everything he had, and that's exactly what happens. He swarmed Samoa Joe right from the start, even sending him into the unforgiving steel cage. The Architect was on the top of his game, and he stayed right on Joe. The Samoan Submission Machine just did not get out of the gates, and he looked to be in more trouble then we had every seen him before. Rollins got several near falls, before connecting with the Gourdbuster GTS. He didn't go for the pinfall, instead deciding to scale to the top of the cage. This was Seth's moment, as all he had to was escape and becoming champion. Instead, he brought the fans to their feet as he jumped from the top, going for a Frog Splash, Joe got out of the way, and Rollins crashed and burned. The champ delivered a Muscle Buster and climbed up and out of the cage to retain his championship.

Winner and still Universal Champion: Samoa Joe

Braun Strowman vs Finn Balor- Extreme Rules Match

The Monster Among Men would be in for the fight of his career in our main event, as Finn Balor's surprise was the return of The Demon. We hadn't seen Finn's devilish alter ego since his days back in NXT, but it returned here at Extreme Rules. Despite that, Strowman was in complete control at the beginning of this match. It wasn't until Balor got his hands on some weapons that the tide turned. The equalizer gave Finn the upper hand, as he hit Braun with everything he could get his hands on. He put Strowman through the announce table, and delivered a Coup de Grace to the outside, but couldn't get the win. Strowman nearly put Finn away with a big powerslam onto a steel chair, but he survived. A second Coup de Grace missed, as Strowman rolled out of the way. They exchange blows in the middle of the ring, Strowman with his strikes and Balor with his weapons. A kendo stick shot off the skull opened up Braun, and allowed Balor to capitalize with a 1916 and a Coup De Grace for the enormous win.

Winner: Finn Balor

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
