Henry's Universe Mode #170: Raw

We are one night removed from Extreme Rules, and the Raw brand begins the build to their next pay-per-view, Bad Blood, on July 9th. Already announced for that night, we will see Finn Balor, who ended the undefeated run of Braun Strowman, take on Samoa Joe for the Universal Championship.

Tonight on Raw, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa look to get back on the same page as they face the Lucha Dragons. In a match-up of rising stars, Jinder Mahal faces Austin Aries. After capturing the Raw Women's Championship at Extreme Rules, Paige puts her new belt on the line against the furious former champion, Asuka.

Lucha Dragons vs #DIY

The story of this match was the continual communication problems between Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, as they never seemed to be on the same page. Despite that, they controlled most of this match, as Kalisto and Sin Cara struggled to get any momentum. Several times, DIY seemed to be closing on victory, but they just couldn't finish things off. This opened the door for Kalisto to connect with a Salina del Sol on Gargano, while Ciampa just stood on the apron, shaking his head.

Winners: Lucha Dragons

Jinder Mahal vs Austin Aries

These two men have both looked very impressive on Raw over the past few weeks, and were given this opportunity to show what they could do. They both looked good, keeping their egos in check and putting on a show. It was A Double that would commit the first mistake, looking for the Heat Seeking Missile and getting caught with a big right hand. Jinder Mahal would proceed to lock in the Camel Clutch, but with one last big gasp, Aries fought out of the hold. He caught the Modern Day Maharajah with a big clothesline and applied the Last Chancery, and there was no choice but to tap out.

Winner: Austin Aries

Number One Contender's Match Next Week

Following his big win over Jinder Mahal, Austin Aries was informed that next week, he will face The Olympic Hero, Kurt Angle. The winner of that match will face Chris Jericho at Bad Blood for the United States Championship.

Paige(c) vs Asuka- Raw Women's Championship Match

Each of these women had different objectives in this championship bout: Asuka was looking to punish Paige for defeating her and stealing the championship last night, while the new champion wanted only to escape with her belt. Over the course of the match, we saw Asuka get more and more vicious, forcing Paige to become desperate. The Empress of Tomorrow took control by countering the Paige-Turner and hitting some big strikes. Instead of looking for the win with an Asuka Lock, she spiked Paige's head off the apron with a big DDT. This was an impressive move, but wasn't going to get her the win. The Anti-Diva stayed focused, and woke back up in time to hit a Paige-Turner and a RamPaige to leave once more as Raw Women's Champion.

Winner and still Raw Women's Champion: Paige

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
