The Dog League: Week 4 Preview(2018 Season)

A clash of the titans headlines Week 4 of the Dog League. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Leaping Girl Current Record: (0-3, 6th place) After three consecutive losses to start the season, Leaping Girl finds herself well behind the rest of the league, with not much left to lose. She'll experiment with her line-up this week, bringing in three new starters. Marvin Jones was dropped for Emmanuel Sanders, who takes Adam Thielen's spot in the swing role. The Vikings defense were dropped for the Seahawks, and with Jordan Reed on bye, the injured Evan Engram was dropped for Trey Burton. UPDATE: With Keenan Allen a game-time decision, Leaping Girl dropped Josh Gordon and added Mike Williams, who will go in if Allen is injured. The Dog League: Week 3 Review(2018 Season)

Week 3 of the Dog League saw a new team take first, a new one drop to last and the Minnesota Vikings nearly destroy everything. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Game 1: Tug of War(81.84) vs Rare Woofs(70.78) ANALYSIS The now former league leaders survived this week, as Kirk Cousins(10.04 points) and Dan Bailey(0 points) of the Vikings both did their best to cost their own team the game. No one was particularly outstanding for Tug of War, although Alvin Kamara(19 points) continued to play well. With rumors of a new starting quarterback, injuries on the bench and the loss of first place, the league's only champions are beginning to feel the pressure. On the Bark Force side, Chris Thompson(1.7 points) and Kenyan Drake(1 point) were noteworthy for their struggles, as the team failed to get anything going. They'll try to fix the running back situation next week, and they should be getting back Leonard Fournette. Game 2: Ta

The Dog League: Week 3 Preview(2018 Season)

We open up Week 3 with a trade, as Bark Force trades Julio Jones to Tug of War for Saquon Barkley. This should help both teams' rosters, and fix some issues going forward. Since Barkley was a 2nd round pick, while Jones was a 3rd, both teams will swap waiver priority for this week, as Tug of War moves up to 3rd while Bark Force drops to last. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Tailwaggerz Current Record: (0-2, 6th place) With a talented roster that has struggled to produce, Tailwaggerz is in an interesting spot this week. They elected to stand pat, with no huge changes to their line-up, other than bringing in the hot Bears defense in exchange for the Eagles. If this team continues to lose games, you have to feel that big changes will be coming. UPDATE: With Dalvin Cook ruled out, James Conner will take his place this week. Week 3 Starting Line-Up(vs Leaping Girl) QB Cam Newton RB David Johnson RB Kareem Hunt WR T.Y. Hil

The Dog League: Week 2 Review(2018 Season)

Week 2 saw one team struggle with wide receivers, while another pulled off a very narrow victory. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Game 1: Tug of War(121.2) vs Leaping Girl(102.8) ANALYSIS On a day where the bulk of their team struggled, Tug of War still picked up a decisive win, thanks mostly to the efforts of Kirk Cousins(33.5 points) and A.J. Green(24.9 points). With rumors of a league mandated trade involving Tug of War, we'll have to see how the team responds to losing a star player. On the other side, Deshaun Watson(22.8 points) and DeAndre Hopkins(17 points) finally came to play, but it wasn't enough for Leaping Girl. With two losses in a row to start the season, she continues to play from behind, but luckily hasn't slipped into last place yet. Game 2: Ridiculous Rascals(101.32) vs Tailwaggerz(100.3) ANALYSIS Melvin Gordon(24.6 points) was the hero for Ridiculous Rascals this week in an extremely clos

The Dog League: Week 2 Preview(2018 Season)

It's Week 2 of the Dog League, as all six teams get their first crack at proper team management. The games may not have taken on an increased importance yet, but if any team can establish a true starting line-up with reliable high scorers, they may have a big advantage for the rest of the year. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Tailwaggerz Current Record: (0-1, 6th place) Coming off of a loss and starting the season in dead last forced some moves out of Tailwaggerz this week, as they first acquired Cooper Kupp, dropping Pierre Garcon. With receiver Davante Adams held out of practice, they'll now have an extra weapon in reserve. For the starters, the injured Greg Olsen was offloaded for Jared Cook, coming off of an impressive performance in Week 1. And with Rex Burkhead dealing with concussion issues, Tailwaggerz will stack up talent at running back, adding James Conner off the waiver wire. Week 2 Starting Line-Up(vs Ridic

The Dog League: Week 1 Review(2018 Season)

In the opening week of the 2018 Dog League season, one of the best players in the NFL led a miraculous comeback to help one team comeback to win their own game. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Game 1: Tailwaggerz (90.04) vs Tug of War (127.26) ANALYSIS Our two time champs were in midseason form, as Tug of War easily took home a Week 1 win. Led by Alvin Kamara(34.1 points) and Kirk Cousins(20.36 points), they led the league in scoring and will head into Week 2 atop the Dog League standings. For Tailwaggerz, their vaunted running back corps made a worrying first impression. Kareem Hunt(4.9 points), David Johnson(12.7 points) and Dalvin Cook(7.5 points) were all held in check. Tailwaggerz will have to hope for a bounce back performance next week, and they did get a nice performance from Davante Adams(14.8 points) on Sunday night. Game 2: Leaping Girl (100.64) vs Bark Force (125.18) ANALYSIS The much ballyhooed c

The Dog League: Week 1 Preview(2018 Season)

With the start of a new NFL season right around the corner, it's time to enter the third season of Dog League play. This year we have two new teams joining the league, as two-time champions Tug of War face perhaps the stiffest competition yet. Are you ready for football? (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Tug of War Two line-up changes in Week 1 for Tug of War, as they bring in Jordan Howard to the swing role to replace Devonta Freeman and Doug Baldwin was subbed out for Brandin Cooks, who has a potentially great game on Monday night against the Raiders.
