The Dog League: Week 1 Review(2018 Season)

In the opening week of the 2018 Dog League season, one of the best players in the NFL led a miraculous comeback to help one team comeback to win their own game. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com)

Game 1: Tailwaggerz(90.04) vs Tug of War(127.26)

ANALYSIS

Our two time champs were in midseason form, as Tug of War easily took home a Week 1 win. Led by Alvin Kamara(34.1 points) and Kirk Cousins(20.36 points), they led the league in scoring and will head into Week 2 atop the Dog League standings. For Tailwaggerz, their vaunted running back corps made a worrying first impression. Kareem Hunt(4.9 points), David Johnson(12.7 points) and Dalvin Cook(7.5 points) were all held in check. Tailwaggerz will have to hope for a bounce back performance next week, and they did get a nice performance from Davante Adams(14.8 points) on Sunday night.

Game 2: Leaping Girl(100.64) vs Bark Force(125.18)

ANALYSIS

The much ballyhooed combo of Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins was Leaping Girl's main strength heading into the season, and her main downfall at the start of it. Watson(11.04 points) and Hopkins(7.1 points) never got going, and despite solid performances from Keenan Allen(16.8 points) and Ezekiel Elliott(14.6 points), Emma never really got close to the win. On the other side, Bark Force were absolutely stellar in their first game in the Dog League. Tom Brady(21.28 points, Julio Jones(18 points), Mike Evans(20.7 points), Greg Zuerlein(17 points and the Ravens defense(17 points) led an incredibly balanced team, who's only worry is the continued absence of Le'Veon Bell.

Game 3: Ridiculous Rascals(121.54) vs Rare Woofs(105.12)

ANALYSIS

Rascal was in trouble on Sunday, falling behind by almost 40 points. Heading into the final game of the day, he was still trailing by 5, and at halftime of the Bears-Packers game, all hope seemed lost. But the return of Aaron Rodgers flipped the script in both real life and fantasy, as Rascal took a 20 point lead into the Monday night game, eventually clinching a dramatic Week 1 win. Rodgers(24.94 points) and Tyreek Hill(29.3 points) were the leaders, but it was the Rams defense(17 points) that sealed the win. Todd Gurley(20.7 points) did his best to bring Rare Woofs back, but the early exit of Leonard Fournette(5.5 points) certainly didn't help. Neither did the poor performance of the Chargers defense(-3 points) who not only finished in the negative, but also gave a huge boost to the Ridiculous Rascals, allowing Hill to have several long touchdowns.

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
