American Dad "Shark?!" Review

Obviously, AD heard all of my complaints about episode title length, and decided to treat me to one that's literally just one word. Of course, now it sounds like I'm just here to review sharks, but I'm not opposed to that. "Shark?!" is about sharks, obviously, why did you need me to tell you that? More specifically, Steve's fear of sharks, which has Stan worried. This is yet another Stan and Steve storyline, but this one worked better than most because Stan is genuinely trying to help his son throughout. He hires Roger, who has an alternate persona as a shark, to stage an attack and force Steve to confront his fears, and it works. But after Steve spends a bit too much time bragging about fighting off the attack, Roger's pride as a vicious shark must be protected, so he rips Steve's arm off. It's a gruesome scene, but one that works extremely well as the brutality of it sets up Steve's storyline for the rest of the episode. Having faced his

American Dad "Lost Boys" Review

Apologies for being a bit late today, we're in the midst of storm season here in Oklahoma and while I wasn't personally affected, internet connection was a bit spotty for a while. Anyway, I'm here today to talk about friendships that will never, ever end. "Lost Boys" is a story of love, loss and betrayal, though in like, the opposite order. Roger needs a squash partner, dammit, so he attempts to recruit Steve to join him, only to be rebuffed over and over again. Steve won't abandon Snot, Barry and Toshi during their "friendiversary" and Roger is forced to get creative, using a Chuck E. Cheese costume and a Julia Childs voice modifier(don't overthink it) to break them up. Most of the early portion of this episode was quite predictable, but it's here where it takes a sharp turn. Instead of some sort of feud developing, Steve become completely reliant on Roger, driving Roger completely crazy. Even after tossing Steve aside for losing the

American Dad "Jeff and the Dank Ass Weed Factory" Review

Oh yeah, I'm real groovy and cool now. I wrote the word "dank" in a title for one of my posts, and I'm going to do it again a few more times, because I feel like it. You impressed yet? "Jeff and the Dank Ass Weed Factory"(ha, wrote it again) is an episode with a very simple premise, once again exploring the Jeff and Stan relationship as well as providing another parody, this time of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. American Dad has gone to the Jeff and Stan pretty frequently over the years, and it's proved to be a solid combination. The conflict here is over Jeff's love of weed which Stan mocks time and time again. That is until the mysterious Tommie Tokes(ostensibly just Snoop Dogg, voiced by Snoop Dogg) announces a competition to tour his factory by finding four golden blunts. Bullock decides to put the CIA to work infiltrating the facility to find the "everlasting edible". Jeff, meanwhile, just sort of stumbles into winning, and

Henry's Universe Mode(Season 4) Episode 39: WrestleMania III (Part 3)

In Part 3 of WrestleMania, Aleister Black looks to take up the mantle of the Deadman as he goes one on one with The Undertaker, playa. Ember Moon and Roman Reigns each seek their own form of redemption as they get their second chance at gold, while dominant champions Asuka and Shinsuke Nakamura hope to remain at the top. And in the main event of WrestleMania, former best friends turned legendary rivals do battle one more time, as Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn go to war for the WWE Championship. Official WrestleMania Theme Song- "Legendary"- Welshly Arms Aleister Black vs The Undertaker Mind games would be a huge portion of this match, as both men were extremely cautious of the other. But once they got going, the brawl was on, as Black unleashed with his deadly kicks and Undertaker traded back with his rights and lefts. They would fight to a standstill, Black countering the Tombstone Piledriver but whiffing on his Black Mass. Now they both took to the

Official WrestleMania Theme Song- "Legendary"- Welshly Arms Andrade "Cien" Almas(c) vs Drew McIntyre vs Finn Balor vs Jeff Hardy vs Rey Mysterio vs Ricochet- Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship (Henry's Note- Like at Money in the Bank, I'm skipping right to the finish, as ladder matches can be hard to summarize) After the dominant Drew McIntyre was taken out by dual diving attacks by Rey Mysterio and Ricochet, that left the two fan favorites to scale the ladder and fight for the gold. It seemed like Ricochet was about to be

American Dad "Rabbit Ears" Review

With the recent revival of The Twilight Zone just debuted, American Dad takes their stab at the genre this week. This episode presents a genuinely intriguing aura of mystery, and is one of my favorites in a long time. "Rabbit Ears" starts off simple enough, as Stan and Roger root through trash, one of Stan's favorite pastimes. He finds all kinds of treasures, including a moldy old mattress and a seemingly broken fondue machine, but the real prize is a giant old TV set. I mean, just look at how deep it is, and how unevenly distributed the weight is! The family is completely uninterested, so Stan embarks on this endeavor alone, and discovers a show called "Nitehawk's Hideaway". In spite of not being interested in the show, which is kind of surprising given the subject matter, Stan goes to great lengths to discover more details about it. We get our weekly Tuttle appearance as he also investigates the show and ends up on it, and later, so does Stan. From

Henry's Universe Mode(Season 4) Episode 35: Fastlane

Tonight, it is the final stop on the Road to WrestleMania for SmackDown, and it is the biggest challenge of Kevin Owens' title reign. The WWE Champion must defend against three greats of the blue brand, AJ Styles, John Cena and Samoa Joe. Can KO find some way to survive and advance to the Grandest Stage? Universe Mode Fastlane February 24th, 2019 Location: Detroit, MI Official Fastlane Theme Song- "Chaos and Earthquakes"- Nonpoint Drew McIntyre vs Ricochet This was a great match to open Fastlane, as both men traded near falls and used the full extent of their diverse moveset. Ricochet was able to connect with the 630 senton, but unlike on SmackDown Live, Drew McIntyre kicked out. The Scottish Psychopath rallied, hitting one power move after another before drilling The One and Only in the face with the Claymore Kick to pick up the win.  Winner: Drew

Henry's Universe Mode(Season 4): Fastlane Preview

Following the Royal Rumble, we would witness one of the most controversial nights in SmackDown history. With Sami Zayn in the ring to celebrate his win, he would be brutally ambushed by former best friend and WWE Champion, Kevin Owens. Owens would powerbomb Zayn onto the ring apron and though the announce table, attempting to make sure Zayn wouldn't be a threat to his championship. Zayn is recuperating and hasn't been seen since, while Owens was punished by being put in an extremely difficult championship defense here at Fastlane. Fastlane 2019 Card Drew McIntyre vs Ricochet The One and Only picked up a huge win over the former WWE Champion a few weeks ago, with Ricochet pinning Drew McIntyre with the 630 senton. McIntyre has attacked Ricochet several times since, leading to a rematch being booked. Ember Moon vs Kairi Sane Ember Moon is determined to capture the SmackDown Women's Championship, picking up win after win on SmackDown. Her road to WrestleMania

Henry's Universe Mode(Season 4) Episode 34: Elimination Chamber

Tonight, champions Shinsuke Nakamura and Becky Lynch must enter the Elimination Chamber to face brutality the likes of which Universe Mode so rarely witnesses. Plus, former friends Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler face off, Roman Reigns takes on Seth Rollins and more! Universe Mode Elimination Chamber February 17th, 2019 Location: Las Vegas, NV Official Elimination Chamber Theme Song- "Panic Room"- Theory of a Deadman Becky Lynch(c) vs Alexa Bliss vs Liv Morgan vs Mickie James vs Natalya vs Ruby Riott- Elimination Chamber Match for the Raw Women's Championship All six women would enter the match without any eliminations, and Alexa Bliss got the luck of the draw, entering last. Lynch and Riott immediately went after each other, though Mickie James would intervene, attempting to eliminate the champion. This was a big mistake, as Lynch would deliver a Bex-ploder on the outside of the Chamber to take out James. A miscommunication between R

Henry's Universe Mode(Season 4): Elimination Chamber Preview

The Road to WrestleMania goes through the Elimination Chamber, as the Raw brand enters wrestling's most dangerous structure. Elimination Chamber 2019 Card Becky Lynch(c) vs Alexa Bliss vs Liv Morgan vs Mickie James vs Natalya vs Ruby Riott- Elimination Chamber Match for the Raw Women's Championship The Man puts her championship on the line inside the Chamber, where she was victorious last year. In the build-up, two duos have taken control, with Riott and Morgan working together while Mickie James and Natalya, both veterans, have formed an unlikely friendship. That has left Lynch and Bliss, polar opposites in many ways, forced into working together in hopes of either woman leaving the dreaded structure as champion. Lucha House Party vs The Undisputed Era It was a great embarrassment at the Royal Rumble for Adam Cole, who was eliminated by Lince Dorado, which left even Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly in disbelief. Cole quickly challenged the trio of luchadores t
