The Dog League: Week 10 Preview (2021 Season)

A wacky Week 9 saw one constant, as Rascal kept a firm grasp on his lead, and his challengers are beginning to fall away, with Tailwaggerz, Bark Force, and Leaping Girl all struggling. This may be his regular season championship to lose. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com)

Canine Comets

Current Record: (2-7, 8th Place)

The Comets finally got their second win last week, beating Bark Force thanks to a 30 point game from Nick Chubb. This week, they get back DK Metcalf and Chris Godwin, a huge boost that should immediately elevated their lineup. With Devontae Booker on bye, the Comets make Devin Singletary their RB2 this week, dropping Jeremy McNichols to add him, though the Comets could face a challenging decision if Zack Moss, who is also on their roster, gets clearance to play against the Jets.

UPDATE: With Chris Godwin a game-time decision, the Comets have benched him for Jerry Jeudy. They also have placed Nick Chubb on reserve, adding D'Ernest Johnson, who is listed as the RB2 for this week.

UPDATE: Canine Comets will start Zach Moss over Devin Singletary, since Moss has recovered from his concussion.

Week 10 Starting Lineup(vs Growlers)

QB Patrick Mahomes
RB D'Ernest Johnson
RB Zach Moss
WR DK Metcalf
WR Diontae Johnson
WR Jaylen Waddle
TE Travis Kelce
WR Jerry Jeudy
K Younghoe Koo
DEF Buffalo Bills

Growlers

Current Record: (3-6, 7th Place)

A disappointing day from Josh Allen led to defeat for Growlers in Week 9, ending a two game winning streak. With Emmanuel Sanders struggling, Growlers get a new receiver, dropping Tyler Boyd to add rookie Elijah Moore. They also bring in a new defense, dropping the Bengals to add the Browns.

UPDATE: Growlers has decided to start Emmanuel Sanders over Elijah Moore.

Week 10 Starting Lineup(vs Canine Comets)

QB Josh Allen
RB Austin Ekeler
RB Cordarrelle Patterson
WR A.J. Brown
WR Mike Williams
WR Emmanuel Sanders
TE Dalton Schultz
RB Darrel Williams
K Matt Gay
DEF New Orleans Saints

Tug of War

Current Record: (4-5, 6th Place)

Tug of War is surging at the moment, with two consecutive wins leading them into a big opportunity to jolt up the standings with multiple teams ahead of them slumping. They get back Tom Brady to start at quarterback, and bring Eli Mitchell and Chase Claypool back into the starting lineup, hoping both players can remain healthy this week. On the bench, they swapped Jamison Crowder for Cole Beasley, and are heavily considering starting George Kittle over Mike Gesicki for this week.

UPDATE: With Chase Claypool inactive, Tug of War will start Cole Beasley in his place.

Week 10 Starting Lineup(vs Rare Woofs)

QB Kirk Cousins
RB Aaron Jones
RB Michael Carter
WR Marquise Brown
WR Amari Cooper
WR Cole Beasley
TE George Kittle
RB Eli Mitchell
K Tyler Bass
DEF Green Bay Packers

Leaping Girl

Current Record: (4-5, 5th Place)

A two game losing streak has Leaping Girl feeling down, though the potential returns of Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins, as well as the availability of Mike Evans, D'Andre Swift, and T.J. Hockenson goes a long way in making her feel more confident. For now, Murray and Hopkins remain on the bench, and they're joined by Ezekiel Elliott, as all three players have questions surrounding their health. If any can prove that they've shaken off their respective injuries, they will have a chance to start this week.

UPDATE: With Alvin Kamara ruled out, Leaping Girl will start Ezekiel Elliott in his place.

UPDATE: Leaping Girl has dropped Kadarius Toney to add Deonte Harris, who starts over Courtland Sutton as the WR3.

Week 10 Starting Lineup(vs Tailwaggerz)

QB Jalen Hurts
RB D'Andre Swift
RB Ezekiel Elliott
WR Mike Evans
WR Michael Pittman
WR Deonte Harris
TE T.J. Hockenson
RB Josh Jacobs
K Greg Zuerlein
DEF Pittsburgh Steelers

Bark Force

Current Record: (5-4, 4th Place)

Pat Freiermuth, DeVonta Smith, and Lamar Jackson all put in excellent performances to keep Bark Force in their game with the Canine Comets for far longer than anyone expected, but in the end, they came up short, leaving Bark Force with their third straight loss. This week, they may get back James Robinson, but in the meantime, they added another new running back, dropping Boston Scott to add Kenyan Drake. Drake starts in the flex, though if Robinson is cleared, it may be a tango for two starting spots between those two backs and Myles Gaskin.

UPDATE: Bark Force has benched Myles Gaskin in the hope that James Robinson will play this week.

UPDATE: Bark Force doesn't love the sound of Robinson's heel injury, so they will start Marvin Jones instead. They will also bench Pat Freiermuth for Ricky Seals-Jones.

Week 10 Starting Lineup(vs Ridiculous Rascals)

QB Lamar Jackson
RB Darrell Henderson
RB Kenyan Drake
WR Davante Adams
WR CeeDee Lamb
WR DeVonta Smith
TE Ricky Seals-Jones
WR Marvin Jones
K Daniel Carlson
DEF Baltimore Ravens

Tailwaggerz

Current Record: (5-4, 3rd Place)

Tailwaggerz ran into the Rascal buzzsaw last week, as poor performances by Matthew Stafford and Adam Thielen left them out in the cold in a game where they needed massive production. Both players are benched this week, allowing Dak Prescott and Terry McLaurin to re-take starting spots, while James Conner, fresh off a 3 touchdown game, starts over Melvin Gordon in the flex.

Week 10 Starting Lineup(vs Leaping Girl)

QB Dak Prescott
RB Dalvin Cook
RB Najee Harris
WR Cooper Kupp
WR Keenan Allen
WR Terry McLaurin
TE Kyle Pitts
RB James Conner
K Harrison Butker
DEF Arizona Cardinals

Rare Woofs

Current Record: (6-3, 2nd Place)

Rare Woofs are back to their best selves, with an intimidating starting lineup that has been bolstered by the return of Christian McCaffrey, and now also gets back Leonard Fournette. Beating this team is going to be a challenge.

UPDATE: Rare Woofs has benched D.J. Moore for Tyler Lockett.

Week 10 Starting Lineup(vs Tug of War)

QB Justin Herbert
RB Christian McCaffrey
RB Leonard Fournette
WR Deebo Samuel
WR Justin Jefferson
WR Stefon Diggs
TE Mark Andrews
WR Tyler Lockett
K Matt Prater
DEF Carolina Panthers

Ridiculous Rascals

Current Record: (7-2, 1st Place)

The magic carpet ride continues for Rascal, as he won his sixth consecutive game last week, leaving every other team in the dust by scoring 155 points. However, this week presents a mighty challenge, with Joe Mixon, Ja'Marr Chase, and Brandin Cooks all on bye, in addition to an injury to Chase Edmonds. Rascal is forced into starting Robert Woods, Hunter Renfrow, Jakobi Meyers, and Mike Davis, though if Edmonds goes on reserve, Rascal would likely add AJ Dillon, who would start over Davis.

UPDATE: Rascal has placed Chase Edmonds on reserve, and added Mark Ingram to start as his RB2 for this week. Rascal has also dropped Robert Woods, and wishes him well in his recovery, adding Van Jefferson.

UPDATE: In a last second move, Rascal has dropped Mike Davis to add A.J. Dillon, who gets the start over Jakobi Meyers in the flex.

Week 10 Starting Lineup(vs Bark Force)

QB Russell Wilson
RB Jonathan Taylor
RB Mark Ingram
WR Tyreek Hill
WR Hunter Renfrow
WR Van Jefferson
TE Darren Waller
RB A.J. Dillon
K Justin Tucker
DEF Los Angeles Rams

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
