Henry's Universe Mode's third WrestleMania is coming up, and the event promises to be even bigger and more action packed than ever. This is a long preview post today, as I breakdown and preview all 12 matches of the WrestleMania III Card, which will be released in three parts. Let's get started.
WrestleMania III Card
Johnny Gargano vs Seth Rollins
The opening match of Part 1 of WrestleMania should be a potential show stealer, as Johnny Gargano faces Seth Rollins. This feud started after Seth Rollins tried to help Gargano defeat Roman Reigns on Raw, only to accidentally cost Gargano the match. Johnny Wrestling has gotten more aggressive lately, intent on winning by any means necessary and has vowed to prove his superiority by defeating Rollins one on one.
The Woken Warriors(c) vs Rusev Day- SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
Rusev and Aiden English have persevered through thick and thin on SmackDown Live, and have finally earned another title match. Standing in their way are Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy, who have been excellent champions and are heavy favorites.
Brock Lesnar vs Samoa Joe
Since his elimination at the Royal Rumble, Brock Lesnar has been on a warpath, attacking anyone in his way. Samoa Joe has taken the unexpected role of a conquering hero, standing up to Brock and challenging him to a match. Does the Destroyer have what it takes to beat the Beast?
Becky Lynch(c) vs Ronda Rousey- Raw Women's Championship Match
The main event of Part 1 is the culmination of a months long rivalry, as Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey meet for the third time. Mostly thanks to Shayna Baszler, Lynch has failed to win both matches, and is determined to finally beat Rousey. The Man made the challenge, the Rowdy One accepted, and now we will finally find out who the best of Raw truly is.
Andrade "Cien" Almas(c) vs Drew McIntyre vs Finn Balor vs Jeff Hardy vs Rey Mysterio vs Ricochet- Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship
After routinely finding ways out of fair championship defenses, Edge has put Almas in extreme jeopardy. Five hungry challengers, all with the chance to unhook the title, and one El Idolo in need of a miracle.
The Authors of Pain(c) vs The Bar- Raw Tag Team Championship Match
There are no champions more dominant in Universe Mode today than the Authors of Pain. Akam and Rezar have beaten everyone who dared face them, but they haven't beaten The Bar yet. Cesaro and Sheamus are ready to bring the fight at WrestleMania, and prove they are the pinnacle of tag team wrestling.
Pete Dunne(c) vs Adam Cole- United Kingdom Championship Match
The Undisputed Era have done plenty on Raw so far, but have yet to add any gold to their group. Leader Adam Cole is determined to change that, as he challenges Pete Dunne for the UK Championship. With Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly at ringside, Dunne faces his toughest challenge yet, but may have the grit and brutality to emerge victorious.
Daniel Bryan vs John Cena
Perhaps the biggest story on SmackDown Live has been the transformation of John Cena. With momentum slipping and the fans against him, Cena finally snapped, brutally attacking Daniel Bryan. Cena sees Bryan as a representation of everything he doesn't want to be anymore, but he may have gone too far, as Bryan is more fired up than ever before.
Aleister Black vs The Undertaker
The opening contest of Part 3 sees Aleister Black face a man he has admitted he admires in The Undertaker. This is a battle of old and new, as Black desires Undertaker's calling as the Lord of Darkness and Reaper of Souls. But the Deadman is going nowhere, and has vowed to teach Black a lesson in humility and respect.
Asuka(c) vs Ember Moon- SmackDown Women's Championship Match
Ember Moon's odyssey to the top of SmackDown Live started last year, but she was unsuccessful in defeating Asuka for the championship. Moon gets a second chance to prove she is ready for Asuka, but can she get the job done this time?
Shinsuke Nakamura(c) vs Roman Reigns- Universal Championship Match
Finally, we reach the first of our world championship matches. This is also Roman Reigns' second chance, and one he earned after defeating Johnny Gargano. Nakamura, as always, has played just about every mind game to get into Reigns' head, but none have seemed to work. This, then, should be an even playing field to determine the face of Raw.
Kevin Owens(c) vs Sami Zayn- No Holds Barred for the WWE Championship
It is impossible to talk of Kevin Owens without Sami Zayn, or Sami Zayn without Kevin Owens. Through everything, these two men have constantly crossed paths, whether as best friends and tag team champions or as bitter enemies fighting for singles gold. Their brutal feud will reach a boiling point in the main event of WrestleMania, and Edge decided to let both men have at it. No disqualifications, no count-outs, no stoppages, nothing to stop either man from ending the other's career. All it takes is all they've got, and if there's anything we know about these two men, they've got plenty. Because no one knows Kevin Owens better than Sami Zayn, and no one knows Sami Zayn better than Kevin Owens. One will win and one will lose. WrestleMania awaits.
