I'm back to Henry's Universe Mode now, I've been trying some different things recently, from my Madden 12 series to AEW reviews to see what might stick, and thus far, nothing has. Let's see if this might. Today, I'm here to tell you about the card for Raw's final stop before WrestleMania IV.
Elimination Chamber 2020 Card
Charlotte Flair(c) vs Alexa Bliss vs Becky Lynch vs Naomi vs Ronda Rousey vs Toni Storm- Raw Women's Championship Match
After Ruby Riott controlled the Raw women's division for much of last year, Charlotte Flair took the strap away from the leader of the Riott Squad with some assistance provided by Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey, two former champions in their own right. In exchange, Flair went to Raw GM Paul Heyman to negotiate two spots in this Chamber match for Lynch and Rousey. The other three spots could've all been filled by the Riott Squad, but Ruby, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan all failed to qualify, losing out to Alexa Bliss, Naomi and Toni Storm. Everyone involved in this match has either fought for or held a title in their time here in Henry's Universe Mode, providing tons of competition for "The Queen", who may be in over her head but has confidence she can get the job done. For as much carnage as this Chamber match will provide, the biggest challenge is still yet to come for the winner, as Nia Jax, the conqueror of the first Women's Royal Rumble, awaits at WrestleMania.
AJ Styles and Ricochet vs The Authors of Pain
The team of AJ Styles and Ricochet clearly has the potential to be one of the best in Universe Mode, but both men have had a bumpy ride since deciding to team up. They picked up a big win over The Bar back at Armageddon to become number one contenders, but failed in their title match against Raw tag team champions The Revival at the Royal Rumble, as AJ refused to tag out despite taking a ton of punishment. Styles admitted that he had gotten too focused on proving he could still win on his own, and begged his partner for forgiveness, but before a conflicted Ricochet could respond, both men were decimated by The Authors of Pain. Akam and Rezar have fallen off since their days as the rulers of Raw's tag division, but clearly see an opportunity to work their way back up the food chain by taking apart this dysfunctional team. An aggrieved Ricochet elected to tag with AJ one more time to get revenge, but has yet to make a decision about a possible future for their team.
Kenny Omega(c) vs Pete Dunne- United States Championship Match
"The Cleaner" Kenny Omega has welcomed all challengers since winning the US gold, defeating Hiroshi Tanahashi in the main event of Armageddon 2019, and the champ was very impressed by Pete Dunne's performance in the Royal Rumble, especially since Dunne eliminated Adam Cole, Omega's main rival thanks to the ongoing conflict between The Elite and The Undisputed Era. Omega approached Dunne on Raw to offer him a title match, and the challenger was more than happy to accept and dish out some brutality, dropping Kenny with a Bitter End.
The Revival(c) vs The Young Bucks- Two out of Three Falls Match for the Raw Tag Team Championships
One of the most shocking moments of 2019 in Henry's Universe Mode came right at the end of the year, when Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder ended the title reign of Matt and Nick Jackson before it could even really begin, catching Matt Jackson during a moonsault with the Shatter Machine to become the new champions. Now, the Young Bucks are back for revenge, as Matt avenged his mistake on that night, picking up a win over Dawson in singles competition to earn he and his brother a title shot. To up the ante, and make sure there would be a decisive victor, Paul Heyman decided that this would be a two out of three falls match. In this clash of styles, both teams have earned one victory over the other, but asking one pair to do it twice in one night will likely be an even greater challenge. Who will survive to cement themselves as, perhaps, the greatest tag team in all of professional wrestling?
Aleister Black vs Brock Lesnar vs Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Kevin Owens vs Randy Orton vs Roman Reigns- #1 Contender's Match for the Universal Championship
Paul Heyman has had enough of "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt. For months, the Raw brand has been ruled by his demonic presence, destroying every challenger in his wake, including the murder of EC3 in their title match at the Royal Rumble. In an act of defiance, Raw's General Manager has gathered together six of the top stars on the brand to take Bray's devilish alter ego out for good, including his client, Brock Lesnar. Owens, Orton and Reigns, all unaffected by doing whatever it takes to win, formed a pact to align for their own common good, working in unison to dismantle Black and Tanahashi in a vicious backstage assault on the February 17th edition of Raw. Black and Tanahashi are polar opposites in many ways, but they had no choice but to find common ground, meeting several times while they were both healing from injuries. On the go-home Raw a few weeks later, they came back with a vengeance, inciting a massive brawl to the delight of the crowd. But Heyman quickly put a stop to the chaos, sending out Lesnar. "The Beast Incarnate" had some fun, hitting every man standing standing with an F-5, likely making him the favorite, and public enemy number one, heading into the Elimination Chamber.
