Bobby Lashley vs Cedric Alexander- Tables Match
"The Almighty" Bobby Lashley has had a quiet time on his Raw since his debut at this pay-per-view two years ago, barely appearing at all on pay-per-view since. To help him on his path to relevancy, Montel Vontavious Porter showed up with an offer. MVP claims to have a wealthy donor who has a "vested interest" in seeing Lashley succeed, and has paid Porter a significant sum to make sure it happens. Lashley was more than happy to take on MVP as his new manager and advisor, especially once Porter showed off the state-of-the-art gym he'd paid for in Los Angeles. MVP named their burgeoning group "The Hurt Business", but stated that one piece was missing. He wanted new Raw signee Cedric Alexander to join them, but Cedric refused the offer, stating that he intended to work his way to the top rather than taking the easy route. Incensed, MVP went to Raw GM Paul Heyman to demand that Lashley face Alexander in a Tables Match, so Cedric can find out first-hand what he's missing out on.
Ronda Rousey vs Toni Storm- Submission Match
Back in March, Toni Storm teamed up with Naomi to eliminate Ronda Rousey in the Elimination Chamber match, with Storm Zero providing the final blow. Rousey is out for blood, ambushing Storm after a win over Ember Moon, nearly breaking the Aussie's arm. Storm responded by challenging Rousey to a Submission Match, which caused Ronda to break into fits of laughter, since making people tap is her specialty. Storm has promised she's been working on mastering a few new holds, but surely she doesn't stand much chance against a master of them.
AJ Styles and Ricochet(c) vs The Undisputed Era- Raw Tag Team Championship Match
On the May 4th edition of Raw, AJ and Ricochet made their first defense of their titles, defeating The Street Profits before all four men were attacked by Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly and their new buddy, Roderick Strong. Cole states that the new mission for The Undisputed Era is to be "draped in gold", going after all four men's titles on Raw. First up are the tag titles, but the plan was almost disrupted immediately, as Styles managed to convince Paul Heyman to give him a shot at Cole's United States Championship. Cole managed to retain after outside shenanigans from O'Reilly, Fish and Strong, but Ricochet got revenge for his partner the next week on the go-home show, pinning Kyle in a singles match. Heyman informed Cole that The Undisputed Era would get their title match, and the champ, declared that Fish and Strong would be the challengers, as O'Reilly was obviously not cut out for this task.
Andrade "Cien" Almas vs Dolph Ziggler vs Pete Dunne vs Randy Orton
This a match combining two feuds, where the winner will receive a spot in the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Andrade and Dolph both made their debuts on Raw on the May 11th episode, where "El Idolo" defeated "The Showoff" with a handful of tights. One week later, Orton countered the Bitter End from Dunne into an RKO, leading to a qualifying match on May 25th, where chaos ensued. Ziggler went after Almas and Dunne brawled with Orton, which continued into a tag match the following week, after which Heyman decided to just have them all wrestle each other.
Charlotte Flair(c) vs Asuka- Steel Cage Match for the Raw Women's Championship
After a quiet ending to her time on SmackDown, Asuka has moved to Raw, and made an immediate impact, beating Nia Jax on her first night back. "The Empress" has quickly worked her way into title contention, the next to challenge "The Queen". The two women met face to face on May 25th, where they were interrupted by The IIconics. Peyton Royce and Billie Kay are now on Raw, and after their screeching insults were laughed off by Flair and Asuka, they got a chance to showcase how great of a team they are. On June 1st, Royce pinned the champion in a tag match, which led to dissension between Flair and Asuka over a late-match miscommunication. That escalated into a backstage brawl on the go-home show, one that resulted in the interview set being torn down before Paul Heyman and his security team could put a stop to it. The Raw General Manager decided to make this title match take place inside a Steel Cage, so no one else can intervene in this fight.
Sami Zayn vs ???
Sami Zayn was a tremendous WWE Champion last year on SmackDown, holding the gold for well over 200 days before he finally slipped down the pecking order. Without a guaranteed title shot, he decided to jump ship to Raw, and has been as aggravating as ever. Zayn badgered Heyman week after week for an opportunity to face Aleister Black, but refusing to actually wrestle on the show if he wasn't facing the Universal Champion. Heyman finally reached his breaking point, threatening to revoke Zayn's contract, which technically wasn't official yet until he competed for Raw. Sami defeated Elias in a good showing for the former WWE Champion, and Heyman threw him a lifeline. If he could defeat his mystery opponent at Extreme Rules, then he would earn a Money in the Bank spot.
Aleister Black(c) vs Roman Reigns- Extreme Rules Match for the Universal Championship
Following his win over Kevin Owens at WrestleMania, "The Big Dog" wasted no time going straight after the Universal Championship, the belt he's been chasing for almost a year and a half. After Aleister Black got a win over The Miz, Reigns pounced, Spearing the champion through a barricade in the latest display of his violent side. Roman has continued to look as focused as ever in the build-up to this match, squashing Montez Ford and powerbombing Baron Corbin through an announce table. Paul Heyman made this an Extreme Rules match slightly later, informing Roman that these attacks need to stop, he doesn't want to have another psychotic champion on his hands. Reigns agreed to calm down, but blood would be spilled when Aleister Black returned. "The Dutch Destroyer" was unhinged in a parking lot brawl between the two on the go-home show, dazing Reigns with a knee before bashing him in the head with a barbed wire-covered 2x4. Black was escorted out, and astonishingly, Roman Reigns was able to regain his footing without assistance, his forehead a disgusting mess of flesh and oozing blood. Reigns' eyes showed nothing but hate and desire, and I have a feeling we are going to get an absolute mess of a main event at Extreme Rules.
