Addendum on My Pay-Per-View Reviews

I realize I've already written a blog update just a few days ago, but I have more to say and I want to clue you in, so thus, this is basically a part two to that. In that update, I mentioned that I was considering between doing reviews for AEW, New Japan and Impact, to cover for the loss of the WWE Network library. At the end of yesterday's WrestleMania 19 review, I said I was moving forward covering AEW, starting back up at Fyter Fest, and so I've been watching the episodes of BTE and Road to... for that show, in addition to starting to watch the Buy In for it's own review.

I've gotta be honest, I'm not really feeling it. Something about AEW's style of comedy and wrestling just doesn't appeal to me, at least not right now, but my bigger issue is with their distributor, Bleacher Report Live. The platform is just a mess, it gave me a massive headache during my Double or Nothing review after I closed my browser mid-playback, which resulted in me struggling to get it working again for over half an hour. I just have no desire to use such a broken system, especially in the era of accessible streaming services. I would like to give the company a chance, but under this current set-up, I honestly don't think it's worth the hassle.

With that in mind, I think I want to set AEW aside for now and try some New Japan reviews, to see what the interest level might be. I'm not anything close to an expert on the company, and there could be several hurdles to deal with, from the language barrier to the lack of matches for shows from the time period I intend to start from, Wrestle Kingdom 1 in 2007. I have a pretty cut and paste formula for my WWE reviews by this point, and this would likely require some alterations to my presentation, which is a little uncomfortable. Still, I think there's a really good chance that this could be a fun exploration into a foreign world for me, and I hope you're ready to come along for the ride. See you soon.

Latest Update on new puppy

As you may well know from my mom's posts, there is a handsome puppy in the house. His name is Rascal, which appropriately fits him. Before Tuesday, he'd never had much problem with the crate, something I found interesting. He'd also never experienced anxiety issues when people came and left. Then yesterday, my dad and I were standing in the driveway organizing things for a trip to Goodwill. All of a sudden, Rascal freaked out. Some history behind the newest member of our family. Rascal was a stray in Hollister, when CARE, a rescue organization, found him. At this time Rascal was estimated to be about 2 months old, the age of a puppy when you first get them. He went to another family, who had him for quite a while, around 5 months. Then, without explanation, this family moved to Ohio, surrendering Rascal. CARE once again had him and his crazy antics for about a month. Rascal's name was changed to Boots in his time with CARE, but he wouldn't answer to that name. He ...

Since losing to Samoa Joe a few weeks ago on Raw, we haven't seen anything from Brock Lesnar. This move will certainly have most of the SmackDown roster looking over their shoulder. ...

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
