The Dog League: Week 13 Preview (2021 Season)

Rascal has a chance at history this week, as after beating the tar off of Tug of War, he's staring down a ten-game regular season winning streak, a feat that has never been accomplished in the Dog League before. This week, as he stares down history, an old foe re-emerges in an attempt to halt his victorious path, as Emma will tangle with her brother in a titanic showdown.

Tug of War

Current Record: (4-8, 8th Place)

Getting Saquon Barkley and Miles Sanders back provided a jolt to Tug of War on paper, but despite getting a big game from Eli Mitchell, the squad faltered, dropping their third straight game. This week, they expect to get back Amari Cooper, dropping Cole Beasley to open space, inserting Cooper and the Eagles defense into their starting lineup.

Week 13 Starting Lineup (vs Bark Force)

QB Tom Brady
RB Eli Mitchell
RB Saquon Barkley
WR Marquise Brown
WR Amari Cooper
WR Tee Higgins
TE George Kittle
RB Miles Sanders
K Tyler Bass
DEF Philadelphia Eagles

Growlers

Current Record: (4-8, 7th Place)

With A.J. Brown and Calvin Ridley now both absent, Growlers lacks a true WR1, but that didn't stop them from beating Bark Force in Week 12, largely off the strength of a big return by Cordarrelle Patterson. This week, Growlers scores the biggest acquisition off the waiver wire, dropping Darrel Williams to add Alexander Mattison, who will take over their flex role. They also add the Dolphins defense, dropping the Bears, to start in that spot.

UPDATE: With Melvin Gordon ruled out, Growlers will take the chance to start Javonte Williams over Cordarrelle Patterson. They have also activated DeVante Parker out of their reserve, dropping Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.

Week 13 Starting Lineup (vs Tailwaggerz)

QB Josh Allen
RB Austin Ekeler
RB Alexander Mattison
WR Darnell Mooney
WR Brandon Aiyuk
WR Mike Williams
TE Dalton Schultz
RB Javonte Williams
K Greg Zuerlein
DEF Miami Dolphins

Leaping Girl

Current Record: (4-8, 6th Place)

Emma desperately needs the trio of Kyler Murray, Alvin Kamara, and DeAndre Hopkins back this week, as without them, she may be dead in the water against Rascal in a game she can't afford to lose, as she's slowly slipping out of the playoff race. She lists all three as starters, and brings in a contingency option, dropping D'Onta Foreman to add Jamaal Williams.

UPDATE: With Alvin Kamara ruled out, Leaping Girl will turn to Jamaal Williams.

Week 13 Starting Lineup (vs Ridiculous Rascals)

QB Kyler Murray
RB Ezekiel Elliott
RB Josh Jacobs
WR DeAndre Hopkins
WR Mike Evans
WR Michael Pittman
TE T.J. Hockenson
RB Jamaal Williams
K Ryan Succop
DEF New England Patriots

Bark Force

Current Record: (5-7, 5th Place)

Bark Force's losing streak reached six in Week 12, and with Davante Adams going on bye, and Darrell Henderson and Odell Beckham banged up, they might be in for a struggle to turn this slump around. They do get back CeeDee Lamb, who takes Adams' spot, while Logan Thomas returns to the starting lineup, replacing Pat Freiermuth. In desperate need of receivers, Bark Force added the surging Kendrick Bourne to their bench, dropping Kenyan Drake.

UPDATE: With Darrell Henderson likely limited, Bark Force will start Kendrick Bourne in the flex.

Week 13 Starting Lineup (vs Tug of War)

QB Lamar Jackson
RB James Robinson
RB Myles Gaskin
WR CeeDee Lamb
WR DeVonta Smith
WR Odell Beckham
TE Logan Thomas
WR Kendrick Bourne
K Daniel Carlson
DEF Baltimore Ravens

Canine Comets

Current Record: (5-7, 4th Place)

Amazingly, the Comets have risen from last place entering Week 9 to a playoff spot just a month later, and they now look to push forward, with all three of their Chiefs players returning from bye. Mahomes, Edwards-Helaire, and Kelce all find starting spots, and they get extra depth by stashing Dontrell Hilliard, dropping Corey Davis.

Week 13 Starting Lineup (vs Rare Woofs)

QB Patrick Mahomes
RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire
RB Devonta Freeman
WR Diontae Johnson
WR Chris Godwin
WR Jaylen Waddle
TE Travis Kelce
WR DK Metcalf
K Robbie Gould
DEF Buffalo Bills

Tailwaggerz

Current Record: (7-5, 3rd Place)

Dalvin Cook's injury cost Tailwaggerz a shot at a crucial win over Rare Woofs, essentially eliminating them from the race for the regular season title, and also leaving the team with a gap to fill in Cook's absence. They'll offer the job to Antonio Gibson, though James Conner is a solid candidate if they want to go in that direction.

UPDATE: Antonio Brown has been placed in the reserve after his suspension, and his roster spot will be filled by Van Jefferson.

Week 13 Starting Lineup (vs Growlers)

QB Dak Prescott
RB Najee Harris
RB Antonio Gibson
WR Cooper Kupp
WR Keenan Allen
WR Terry McLaurin
TE Kyle Pitts
WR Adam Thielen
K Nick Folk
DEF Arizona Cardinals

Rare Woofs

Current Record: (9-3, 2nd Place)

Week 12 was a rough one for Rare Woofs, as despite getting the win, they lost Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey to injuries, the latter of whom's season is now over. They place McCaffrey in reserve to keep him on the roster, and start Tyler Lockett over Samuel. Rare Woofs used their extra roster spot to add Matt Breida, who starts in the flex.

Week 13 Starting Lineup (vs Canine Comets)

QB Justin Herbert
RB Leonard Fournette
RB David Montgomery
WR Justin Jefferson
WR Stefon Diggs
WR Tyler Lockett
TE Mark Andrews
RB Matt Breida
K Chris Boswell
DEF Dallas Cowboys

Ridiculous Rascals

Current Record: (10-2, 1st Place)

Rascal loses A.J. Dillon to his bye week, and Darren Waller to injury, filling the vacancies with Tyreek Hill and Zach Ertz. Rascal makes a designed change at quarterback, bringing back Carson Wentz and dropping Cam Newton, with Wentz now given back his starting role over Russell Wilson. Rascal made one other waiver move, stashing the Browns defense and dropping the Texans.

UPDATE: Rascal will look to take advantage of Alvin Kamara's absence, starting Mark Ingram over Brandin Cooks in the flex.

Week 13 Starting Lineup (vs Leaping Girl)

QB Carson Wentz
RB Jonathan Taylor
RB Joe Mixon
WR Tyreek Hill
WR Ja'Marr Chase
WR Hunter Renfrow
TE Zach Ertz
RB Mark Ingram
K Justin Tucker
DEF Los Angeles Rams

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
