It's a big fight feel here on Main Event, as former Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews faces former United States Champion Kevin Owens in a huge main event. Also, it's the final week for Group A action in the Cruiserweight Classic, as Kota Ibushi faces Brian Kendrick and TJ Perkins faces Noam Dar. Who will be the first two men to punch their tickets to the semi-finals?

TJ Perkins vs Noam Dar- Cruiserweight Classic Group A Match

With Perkins knowing that a win could send him through to the semi-finals, he possessed a fire that Noam Dar simply couldn't quench. In the end, it was an easy win for TJP, dominating the match before locking in the TJP Clutch and forcing the submission. A dominant victory for TJ Perkins keeps him in contention for the semi-finals, leaving Noam Dar in the dust.

Winner: TJ Perkins

Kota Ibushi vs Brian Kendrick- Cruiserweight Classic Group A Match

Brian Kendrick was staring down the impossible, needing a win to stay alive and keep his comeback afloat, but going up against the unbeaten Kota Ibushi. Kendrick came out firing, giving it everything he had in a desperate attempt to do the unthinkable. Kendrick took every chance and every opportunity, but couldn't put Ibushi away. Kendrick connected on a Shooting Star Press, then locked in a Bully Choke, but couldn't force a submission. Kendrick connected on another Shooting Star Press, and that wasn't enough. Desperate, Kendrick locked for a roll-up, using the ropes for leverage, but Ibushi kicked out again. There was only one move left in the arsenal of Brian Kendrick, but Kota Ibushi saw the Sliced Bread coming, countering the move before climbing to the top rope to deliver a devastating Phoenix Splash for the three count. It was an incredible performance from the Wizard of Odd, but in the end, the Golden Star stayed unbeaten and advanced to the semi-finals.

Winner: Kota Ibushi

Kevin Owens vs Apollo Crews

This match could serve as a Royal Rumble preview, as before the match, it was announced that both of these men would be in the 30-man Rumble match. With an opportunity for some momentum heading into the Rumble, both men wanted a big win. It was Crews who started well, as KO slowed the pace of the match down, Apollo showed his vicious side. He unleashed on Owens, showing off his power and ferocity and putting Owens in serious danger. Things were looked very bad for Owens, but he showed his intelligence, taking Apollo outside of the ring. The more vicious Owens used the environment to his advantage, neutralizing Apollo's momentum. It was almost too easy for Owens to roll Crews back into the ring for a Pop-Up Powerbomb and the win. Apollo may have all the physical tools in the world, but Kevin Owens has the intelligence of a champion, and that proved to be the difference.

Winner: Kevin Owens

American Dad "Twinanigans" Review

It's been a while since the last Steve and Roger episode, and this week reminded me why that's such a classic American Dad pairing. This is a genuinely fun episode, filled with some great one liners and even a great callback to the show's past. "Twinanigans" centers around the heretofore unmentioned acting careers of Roger and Steve, who twinned it up as the Smith Brothers. I'm not going to question whether this backstory actually makes sense to the overall timeline; no one watches American Dad for continuity. Steve had to give up acting to attend kindergarten, and wants to give Roger a second chance at greatness. The two head to auditions, where Steve impresses and Roger blows it. It's here the episode kinda misfires, as it's never made abundantly clear why Roger struggles so much at acting. Is he just trying too hard, does he have some form of stage fright, does he not even know what acting is? This part of the story is just never explained, w...

Henry's Pay-Per-View Reviews: ECW Heatwave 1998

As the world collectively loses it's mind over the coronavirus(this could be a fun intro to look back on in the future), the only sanity that can be found is in the ring. Let's take a look today at what is often considered ECW's finest outing, Heatwave '98. - Jokes aside, everyone should stay safe out there. I know it's easy to panic about these mass outbreaks, and I've certainly felt very nervous about everything I've heard and read over the past week. But I think we all need some fun in our lives right now, and this show is the epitome of distraction. - The opening contest is one of the highlights of the night, as Jerry Lynn takes on Justin Credible. Credible has an entire entourage in his corner, including Chastity, Jason and Nicole Bass, and their involvement in this match at times bordered on excessive. But the match begins to hit it's peak when Lynn puts Credible through a table with a hurricanrana, and it's all fantastic from...

Henry's Universe Mode #205: SmackDown Live

Over the weekend, big news was broken by SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan, as he announced two title rematches for No Mercy. First up, Kenny Omega will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Randy Orton, and in the second, John Cena will look to make his first defense as WWE Champion against AJ Styles. Tonight on SmackDown Live, it's another Summerslam rematch in the main event, as Alexa Bliss defends against Emma. Can the Australian Sensation punch her ticket to No Mercy? Plus, Heath Slater takes on Aiden English, and the Phenomenal One, AJ Styles, is in singles action. Universe Mode SmackDown Live September 12th, 2017 Location: Dallas, TX Heath Slater vs Aiden English This was a big chance for momentum for both of these two men, as Slater was kicked out of the Social Outcasts a few months ago, while English's tag team partner, Simon Gotch, was recently released. Both of these men showed a lot of potential, and got the crowd invested on a couple of nea...
