Big Show vs Kane vs Sheamus vs Fandango- Elimination Chamber Qualification Match
This was a Wild Card match, with the winner being the fourth man to clinch their spot in the Chamber. Big Show went straight after Fandango, leaving Kane and Sheamus in the ring. As the match continued, it was clear that there were some serious issues between Big Show and Fandango, the two men beating the hell out of each other. Kane took advantage, hitting Sheamus with a Chokeslam to earn his spot.
Winner: Kane
Baron Corbin Promo
The Lone Wolf was in a foul mood after being screwed out of the Elimination Chamber by Randy Orton last week. Corbin called out Orton immediately, and the two men went face to face. Corbin stated that Orton is simply jealous, knowing that the Lone Wolf is a better champion than The Viper could ever be. Randy accused Baron of being a coward, challenging him to throw down right then and there. When the Intercontinental Champion refused, Orton responded with another RKO, taking down Corbin for the second week in a row. We later found out that these two will meet on the next episode of SmackDown in a non-title match.
Prime Time Players vs The Revival
Coming off of a win last week, Darren Young and Titus O'Neil went up against the former number one contenders. Dash and Dawson had a clear gameplan, targeting the smaller man in Darren Young. The sheer power of Titus was a game-changer, as he saved Darren after a Shatter Machine and caught Wilder with a Clash of the Titus to pick up another win.
Winners: Prime Time Players
Shinsuke Nakamura vs Apollo Crews- Elimination Chamber Qualification Match
The veteran Shinsuke Nakamura looked to test the former Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews. Crews and Nakmura came out of the gates firing, putting on a very impressive display. They traded back and forth, Shinsuke with big strikes and Apollo with impressive power. A Gorilla Press/Moonsault combo connected for Apollo, but the King of Strong Style just got the shoulder up. Shinsuke connected with big flying knee strikes, and set up for the Kinshasa to put it away. Apollo saw it coming and ducked, catching Shinsuke with a big Sit-Out Powerbomb to put him away and enter the Elimination Chamber.
Winner: Apollo Crews
SmackDown Women's Title Match for Elimination Chamber
Following last week's controversial count-out loss, Paige has been forced to defend her title at Elimination Chamber against Alexa Bliss.........and the impressive newcomer, Charlotte.
Shawn Michaels vs Dolph Ziggler- Elimination Chamber Qualification Match
It was a battle of superkicks and tag team warfare in the final qualifying match, as Shawn Michaels of D-X took on Dolph Ziggler of the Awesome Show-Offs. Ziggler got going quickly, taking advantage of a distraction from The Miz to bludgeon HBK with a steel chair. Dolph climbed to the top rope, only to be met with a Sweet Chin Music, however Miz got involved again to save the match. The Show-Off rallied, hitting Michaels with a low blow and picking apart the veteran. A series of elbows and a Zig Zag seemed to be it for Shawn, when Triple H, his tag team partner, got involved, distracting the ref. Dolph gave The Game a piece of his mind, before tuning up the band, looking for his own version of the Superkick. This act cost him big, as Ziggler whiffed and ran right into a second Sweet Chin Music, as Shawn Michaels became the final man to qualify for the Chamber.
Winner: Shawn Michaels
AJ Styles and ??? vs The Rock and ???
The Phenomenal One made his way to the ring, accompanied by the monstrous Braun Strowman, AJ's partner for tonight. The Rock, though, was alone, as the Great One chose not to even look for a partner, wanting to do this by himself.
The Great One got off to a hot start, taking out Styles with crisp offense. The tides turned when AJ tagged in Strowman. Try as he might, The Rock simply couldn't handle the power of Strowman, who decimated the number one contender with a big running powerslam. Before he could make the cover, the WWE Champion made a blind tag, Styles wanting to get the pin himself. A disgusted Strowman gave Styles a death glare before departing up the ramp. The Rock took full advantage of the distraction, catching Styles with a Rock Bottom and pinning the WWE Champion just five days before their title match.
Winner: The Rock
The People's Champion has to be at a big advantage heading into this Sunday with that big win. Who will be WWE Champion after Elimination Chamber? That's all for SmackDown.
