The Revolution Has Begun

"You've seen us in many forms through the years. You've seen the talent we produced, and the stars that we created. You've cheered our heroes, and booed our villains, and cared about our stories. You've seen us rise and fall, persevere through adversary and come back from the brink. But what if I told you that what you've seen, what you've experienced was only the beginning, the start of the tale. What if I told you there was more to our story, much, much more. What if I told you that we had the power to take over the world, to be the kings. Would you believe me? Welcome to our Revolution. Welcome to N..........X............T!" - Triple H, Owner, Operator and Creator of NXT

With that very grandiose(and very fictional) intro, I will now welcome you to The Revolution, the newest Universe Mode series on my blog. If you read my post back in October where I discussed my plans for WWE 2k18, then you already know what this is. However, if you didn't see that at the time or are interested in the particular details of this series, then this is the post for you. Today, I will break down what The Revolution is, when it begins and what it will entail. Hopefully you guys are as excited as I am for this new series to begin; it's been a long time coming.

What is The Revolution?

To put it simply, this is an all-NXT Universe Mode, existing in a universe where WWE's current developmental territory has become its own independent promotion. For the most part, the roster I will be using for this series is made up of current or former NXT talent, with a few exceptions. So, guys like John Cena, Randy Orton or The Rock will not appear at all. To go behind the scenes, I first thought of the idea of doing this series in April, following WrestleMania, which was when Henry's Universe Mode was originally supposed to end. It was then supposed to begin following Summerslam, but was delayed once more. It's taken a long time, far longer than I ever anticipated, but The Revolution is finally off the ground. As for the name, I just didn't think "NXT Universe Mode" was suitable, so I came up with something that sounded a little more official.

What is the schedule for The Revolution?

I'm anticipating that the first post of the series will go up next Tuesday, January 16th. My aim is to post at least two episodes a week of this series, although it might be more or less frequent depending on how well it's received.

What will the first post(s) of The Revolution look like?

I'll be mostly following the same format for posts of this series as Henry's Universe Mode, with around five segments per post. We will be starting off with a 16-man, single-elimination tournament to crown the first NXT Champion of The Revolution. If you're interested, you can find the first round bracket here. Throughout most of the build to our first Takeover show, this tournament and the stories that are created out of it, will get the entire focus. After the first champion is crowned, I will then branch out into a more traditional Universe Mode style.

I think that's it for now. I'm sure there will be more information to provide in the future, but that's about all I'm going to be including in this post, so as not to completely confuse everyone. See you again on the 16th, when The Revolution will finally begin.

Curious Crab

One Monday night my mom looked into my crabitat and found that a crab had climbed into one of my fake trees. It was in the top branch. I looked in later, and found that the crab had fallen out of the tree. I hope he is okay. What a day!

American Dad "Twinanigans" Review

It's been a while since the last Steve and Roger episode, and this week reminded me why that's such a classic American Dad pairing. This is a genuinely fun episode, filled with some great one liners and even a great callback to the show's past. "Twinanigans" centers around the heretofore unmentioned acting careers of Roger and Steve, who twinned it up as the Smith Brothers. I'm not going to question whether this backstory actually makes sense to the overall timeline; no one watches American Dad for continuity. Steve had to give up acting to attend kindergarten, and wants to give Roger a second chance at greatness. The two head to auditions, where Steve impresses and Roger blows it. It's here the episode kinda misfires, as it's never made abundantly clear why Roger struggles so much at acting. Is he just trying too hard, does he have some form of stage fright, does he not even know what acting is? This part of the story is just never explained, w...

The Route of Life

dedicated to my hermits, who changed my life Ch 1 My Hermit crabs Hermit crabs are sometimes hard to take care of. Especially when you never had a hermit. Last Sunday afternoon I got 2 Hermit crabs. Their names are Crabbe and Goyle. I have talked with many sales people. The first Petco we went to (where we got the hermits and their things) seemed to have no idea on the subject. So we ended up going to Dolphin Pet Village. They were more experience at the subject. Now we have some of the things we will need. Last week, I went to a second Petco. There we got a cuttlebone, which is the bone of a fish. Now they look happy. Have a good day Hermit Crabs! Ch 2 Curious Crab The week before last week, my mom looked into my crabitat and found that one of my crabs had climbed one of my fake trees. It was on the top branch. Later, when I was changing to get ready for bed, the crab fell out of his branch. I hope he is okay. He’s definitely starting to look okay. How funny do you think that story is...
