Kevin Nash w/Scott Hall vs Ken Shamrock- King of the Ring Qualification Match
Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, known as the Outsiders, demanded a shot at entering King of the Ring, and were granted it against Ken Shamrock. Hall accompanied Nash to the ring, offering a pretty massive advantage to his tag partner. Shamrock fought hard, staying out of Nash's reach for a majority of the match. Hall's antics on the outside cost Shamrock though, allowing Nash to connect with a devastating Jacknife Powerbomb for the 3 count. If Nash has Hall in his corner for the rest of the King of the Ring tournament, it would seem to be impossible to defeat Big Daddy Cool.
Winner and qualifying for King of the Ring: Kevin Nash
R-Truth vs Sheamus- King of the Ring Qualification Match
New Raw superstar Sheamus was scheduled to face R-Truth in a King of the Ring Qualifier, but it was revealed that Sheamus was taken out backstage by a furious Kane, who took his spot in this match. Kane lost to Mankind last week in a King of the Ring Qualifier, and he clearly wanted another opportunity. R-Truth can brawl with the best of them, and got a good amount of offense in early on Kane before the Big Red Machine took control. Kane dropped Truth with a massive chokeslam, but Truth kicked out, only seeming to irritate Kane. Kane went for a second chokeslam, but Truth countered with a DDT and a Lie Detector, but that wasn't enough to keep Kane down. The chokeslam did connect, and Truth was put down as the monstrous Kane qualified for King of the Ring in his second attempt.
Winner and qualifying for King of the Ring: Kane
Andre The Giant vs Sting- King of the Ring Qualification Match
The Icon Sting was forced to play giant-killer in this match, facing the massive Andre The Giant. Andre's strength and power is unmatched, and he displayed it early on. To his credit, Sting did not give up, fighting with everything he had. The Stinger was simply outmatched, and lost his second consecutive match after Andre dropped him with a chokeslam and finished him off with a big elbow drop.
Winner and qualifying for King of the Ring: Andre The Giant
Kelly Kelly vs Chyna- Women's Title Match
Kelly Kelly is not a woman to underestimate, and you got the impression that Chyna was underestimating her early on, taking it easy and showing off to the crowd. This infuriated Kelly, who stormed back with a vengeance, taking Chyna down and getting several near falls. Chyna, stunned, regrouped and fought back, hitting a big gorilla press slam for a near fall, and then hitting a big DDT for another near fall. The two proceeded to trade offense, neither landing the killing blow. Kelly went for a Rocker Dropper, but Chyna blocked it, and Chyna went for a Pedigree, and Kelly blocked it. Finally, Chyna connected on a second DDT, and we had a new Women's Champion! It was heartbreak for Kelly Kelly, who owned two victories over former champ Trish Stratus, and elation for Chyna, who proved that anything can happen in Universe Mode.
Winner and the NEW Women's Champion: Chyna
Triple H vs Shawn Michaels- King of the Ring Qualification Match
Both Triple H and Shawn Michaels said that this was a competition between friends, and they intended to remain tag partners after this match. The Game dominated the match from the early going, his strength and vicious nature rearing it's ugly head. Michaels looked to be out off a huge spinbuster, and Triple H was taking his time, waiting to hit the Pedigree when HBK popped to his feet and connected with a Sweet Chin Music. Unfortunately for Shawn, Triple H got his hand to the bottom rope, forcing the pin break. Michaels unleashed every offensive maneuver in his arsenal to keep Triple H down, climbing the top rope for an elbow drop when Triple H caught him with a Pedigree, but Shawn got to the bottom rope. Triple H went for a Pedigree and a Figure Four, and Michaels countered both, dropping Triple H with another Sweet Chin Music, only to see the Game kick out at 2. Michaels looked for a moonsault, but Triple H rolled out of the way and dropped HBK with a massive Spinebuster, which Michaels kicked out of. Frustrated and bewildered, Triple H pulled out Micheals' own Sweet Chin Music, putting Shawn down and out, as Triple H qualified for King of the Ring using his partner's own move. After the match, the two had a tense stand-off, with Shawn clearly unhappy that he lost to his own finishing maneuver.
Winner and qualifying of King of the Ring: Triple H
