The Dog League: 2019 Draft Recap(Part 3)

Welcome to the third and final part of my breakdown of the 2019 Dog League Draft. In this part, we take a look at Bark Force and Leaping Girl, two teams that ended last year in dismal fashion. With the last two picks in the first round, will either team be able to find some much needed optimism? (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com)

Bark Force

1st Round, 5th Overall- RB Todd Gurley
2nd Round, 8th Overall- WR DeAndre Hopkins
3rd Round, 17th Overall- WR JuJu Smith-Schuster
4th Round, 20th Overall- RB Nick Chubb
5th Round, 29th Overall- WR Stefon Diggs
6th Round, 32nd Overall- QB Patrick Mahomes
7th Round, 41st Overall- TE O.J. Howard
8th Round, 44th Overall- DEF Los Angeles Rams
9th Round, 53rd Overall- K Justin Tucker
10th Round, 56th Overall- RB Aaron Jones
11th Round, 65th Overall- WR Brandin Cooks
12th Round, 68th Overall- WR Tyler Lockett
13th Round, 77th Overall- RB Lamar Miller
14th Round, 80th Overall- TE Eric Ebron
15th Round, 89th Overall- RB Derrius Guice
16th Round, 92nd Overall- QB Carson Wentz
17th Round, 101st Overall- DEF New Orleans Saints

Summary:

Despite an extremely stacked roster, Bark Force fell apart at the end of last year, disappointingly finishing in fourth place and watching Rare Woofs make the run to the championship game they thought was theirs. This year's roster is solid, but can't compete with what they had last year. Gurley is a major question mark coming off a very confusing end to his season, and Chubb has the presence of new signing Kareem Hunt hanging over him. They do bring back Mahomes, Diggs and Smith-Schuster, trying to keep some consistency to start the season. Bark Force's bench looks very good, and includes two big wildcards in Guice and Wentz, both of whom could break-out this season coming off of injuries.

Leaping Girl

1st Round, 6th Overall- RB Melvin Gordon
2nd Round, 7th Overall- RB Le'Veon Bell
3rd Round, 18th Overall- WR Antonio Brown
4th Round, 19th Overall- WR Mike Evans
5th Round, 30th Overall- RB Devonta Freeman
6th Round, 31st Overall- TE George Kittle
7th Round, 42nd Overall- QB Russell Wilson
8th Round, 43rd Overall- DEF Chicago Bears
9th Round, 54th Overall- K Stephen Gostkowski
10th Round, 55th Overall- RB Mark Ingram
11th Round, 66th Overall- WR Chris Godwin
12th Round, 67th Overall- RB Phillip Lindsay
13th Round, 78th Overall- WR Jarvis Landry
14th Round, 79th Overall- RB Miles Sanders
15th Round, 90th Overall- TE Vance McDonald
16th Round, 91st Overall- QB Jared Goff
17th Round, 102nd Overall- DEF New England Patriots

Summary:

With three years in a row spent finishing in last place and the last pick in the Draft, Leaping Girl went for broke. She snapped up the biggest names she could find, assembling a team that would've been amazing three or four years ago. But how it works out in 2019 is anyone's guess, particularly the decision to re-unite former teammates Bell and Brown. Picking Freeman high seems like a questionable move, but Emma found good value in bringing back Kittle and Wilson. Her bench is an odd combination of proven vets like Ingram and Landry and young speedsters Godwin and Landry. Sanders is a very promising young running back, but still clearly needs development. Considering her draft position, Leaping Girl has assembled the best roster she probably could've. But will it be enough to finally get her out of last place?

Henry's Universe Mode #231: WrestleMania II (Part 3)

Finn Balor vs The Undertaker Finn Balor felt the full force of the strikes of The Undertaker in the early going, eating rights and lefts to the skull. The Undertaker continued to lay into Balor, dumping him to the floor with a clothesline, then following up with his vintage suicide dive! After a brief skirmish on the outside, the Deadman got destructive, grabbing the Demon's throat and driving him through the announce table with a chokeslam! It was here that The Undertaker allowed Finn Balor a chance to just give up and concede defeat, but Balor wasn't having any of it. Finn got his second wind, countering an attempted chokeslam to connect with a reverse DDT, then the shotgun dropkick in the corner. Up top, Finn connected with Coup de Grace! 1........................2.......................but it's going to take a lot more to put The Undertaker away, especially at WrestleMania. Balor laid in some shots, busting The Undertaker open, but that proved to be a huge mistake. ...

American Dad "Stompe Le Monde" Review

You know, I once tried to make it in musical theater. If only I had watched this episode beforehand, I would've known I needed a leather jacket to truly make it. Alas, those dreams are for a more pretentious soul than mine. "Stompe Le Monde" is a wild episode of American Dad, one that starts with Stan's previously unknown uncle dying and ends with wanton destruction of many Sonic Drive-Ins. It's a crazy a journey as it sounds, one that left me just struggling to keep up. The family to use the new inheritance to travel to New York City, but Stan quickly blows the money on the rights to Stomp, which is apparently a real musical. The whole town of Langley is very excited to see the new show, but Stan has no idea what he's doing, never once hiring a director or even rehearsing. Why this only came up literally minutes before opening is anyone's guess. The Smith Family is forced to go on the run, and are attacked by many ferocious coyotes off-screen. In ye...

American Dad "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" Review

American Dad as a show is definitely not afraid to get a little freaky, and nothing is more evident than the existence of Rogu, Roger's tumor that became a character himself in "Persona Assistant". Rogu primarily works as a character because he stays in the background, but this week, he takes a starring role in one of the weirdest American Dad episodes to date. "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" has little in the way of traditional plot structure, and can only barely be considered an episode at all. It's more a collection of funny and bizarre skits, with a few running plot points that end up forming some sort of resolution. Steve wants to become a babysitter, but Francine says he's not ready, so he needs to prove himself to her. He does that by taking care of Rogu, as Roger is off for a night of NSFW activities. Steve is instructed not to let Rogu have candy or screentime, but violates both rules almost immediately. It turns out that Rogu multiplies w...
