I had hoped to be launching right back into reviewing, but I've found that a little bit more difficult than expected, so I'm here again for what is essentially a part 2 to my July 2020 blog update. This post should be a bit shorter than that one, though.
The fact is, I've really tried to commit to reviewing every WWE pay-per-view, but I just have to accept that it's not an attainable goal. I liked the idea of seeing a slow buildup through the years, eventually reaching modern wrestling, but that means covering a slew of terrible 90s shows. I might go into more detail in the future, but I've definitely discovered why business was beginning to drop off at this time. That being said, there are still some shows between the start of the decade and the Attitude Era that I wish to review, so going forward, I'm just going to be picking and choosing between them. Prepare to see a metric sh**ton of Bret Hart, because he's headlining pretty much every pay-per-view I chose. My goal now is to get to 1998(where the company has a better product and more modern event schedule) while still giving you an idea of what's going on, with at least one review per year.
We get back going again with Royal Rumble 1991, featuring The Ultimate Warrior defending his WWF title against Sgt. Slaughter, the first multi-time Rumble winner is crowned and The Rockers compete in what Dave Meltzer called the best pay-per-view match since Steamboat-Savage. See you soon.
