Henry's Universe Mode #57: NXT

First off, apologies for no NXT and Smackdown last week, and no Raw this week. I'm getting a little tired of WWE 2k16, and with 2k17 looking great, I'm not finding much motivation to keep posting. Here's the schedule for the next two weeks: this week, there will be NXT and Smackdown, three matches each, and reviews of NXT Takeover and WWE Summerslam. Next week, there will be Raw and Smackdown, two matches each, and NXT Takeover: Unstoppable, as while as my own Summerslam. Finally, the Light Heavyweight Title has been retired, as it wasn't being booked. Let's get into NXT.

Zack Sabre Jr vs James Storm

Our opening contest saw the debuting Zack Sabre Jr take on the Cowboy, James Storm. Storm lasted a little while against the wizardry of Sabre, but a combination of suplexes, ended with a Dragon Suplexx, earned Zack a debut victory.

Winner: Zack Sabre Jr

Blake and Murphy vs Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa

We saw two more debuts in this match, as Gargano and Ciampa made their debuts on NXT. Gargano and Ciampa looked like the stronger duo for much of the match, dominating Blake and Murphy. Despite this, Murphy fought hard to keep his team in the match, and it took a roll up from Gargano to get the win.

Winners: Gargano and Ciampa

AJ Styles vs Finn Balor

This match was made by NXT GM William Regal after Balor and Omega defeated Styles and Zayn two weeks ago. This was an important match, as if Balor could win, he would be added to the NXT Title Match next week at Takeover: Unstoppable. Balor was anxious to earn another title shot, jumping Styles before the bell rang. This only angered the Phenomenal One, who would then dominate the beginning of the match up, nearly finishing off Balor several times. Balor hung tough, and though he put Styles away with a Coup de Grace, but it was only enough for a two count. Balor, infuriated, then put Styles through the announce table with a massive brainbuster. Balor looked for the easy way out, hoping for a count out victory, but Styles got back in at a count of nine. Styles fought valiantly, doing everything possible to stay in the match. He turned the tide when Balor missed on another Coup de Grace, and Styles connected with a Styles Clash to keep the title match one on one.

Winner: AJ Styles

Paige(c) vs Bayley- NXT Women's Title Match

Henry's Pay-Per-View Reviews: ECW Heatwave 1998

As the world collectively loses it's mind over the coronavirus(this could be a fun intro to look back on in the future), the only sanity that can be found is in the ring. Let's take a look today at what is often considered ECW's finest outing, Heatwave '98. - Jokes aside, everyone should stay safe out there. I know it's easy to panic about these mass outbreaks, and I've certainly felt very nervous about everything I've heard and read over the past week. But I think we all need some fun in our lives right now, and this show is the epitome of distraction. - The opening contest is one of the highlights of the night, as Jerry Lynn takes on Justin Credible. Credible has an entire entourage in his corner, including Chastity, Jason and Nicole Bass, and their involvement in this match at times bordered on excessive. But the match begins to hit it's peak when Lynn puts Credible through a table with a hurricanrana, and it's all fantastic from...

American Dad "Twinanigans" Review

It's been a while since the last Steve and Roger episode, and this week reminded me why that's such a classic American Dad pairing. This is a genuinely fun episode, filled with some great one liners and even a great callback to the show's past. "Twinanigans" centers around the heretofore unmentioned acting careers of Roger and Steve, who twinned it up as the Smith Brothers. I'm not going to question whether this backstory actually makes sense to the overall timeline; no one watches American Dad for continuity. Steve had to give up acting to attend kindergarten, and wants to give Roger a second chance at greatness. The two head to auditions, where Steve impresses and Roger blows it. It's here the episode kinda misfires, as it's never made abundantly clear why Roger struggles so much at acting. Is he just trying too hard, does he have some form of stage fright, does he not even know what acting is? This part of the story is just never explained, w...

The Route of Life

dedicated to my hermits, who changed my life Ch 1 My Hermit crabs Hermit crabs are sometimes hard to take care of. Especially when you never had a hermit. Last Sunday afternoon I got 2 Hermit crabs. Their names are Crabbe and Goyle. I have talked with many sales people. The first Petco we went to (where we got the hermits and their things) seemed to have no idea on the subject. So we ended up going to Dolphin Pet Village. They were more experience at the subject. Now we have some of the things we will need. Last week, I went to a second Petco. There we got a cuttlebone, which is the bone of a fish. Now they look happy. Have a good day Hermit Crabs! Ch 2 Curious Crab The week before last week, my mom looked into my crabitat and found that one of my crabs had climbed one of my fake trees. It was on the top branch. Later, when I was changing to get ready for bed, the crab fell out of his branch. I hope he is okay. He’s definitely starting to look okay. How funny do you think that story is...
