Henry's Universe Mode #191: SmackDown Live

Before I begin, I have another important announcement about Universe Mode. Summerslam is currently just under three weeks away, however I will not be covering all of that. Instead, next week will be the final Raw, SmackDown and NXT of the series. The following week will just be Summerslam and Takeover: Brooklyn, but I will have other content to fill the empty gap.

Daniel Bryan made a big announcement following Battleground, when he announced AJ Styles' next title defense. It will be in the main event of Summerslam, and Styles will face Cesaro..............and John Cena, in a triple threat match. Cena and Cesaro face off tonight on SmackDown. Plus, Sami Zayn has been give a big opportunity in the tag team division. If he can find a partner, they'll face The Usos tonight, with the winners facing The Club at the Biggest Party of the Summer.

Nikki Bella vs Emma

Nikki Bella is known for her fearless nature, and she showed some of it here tonight, not backing down from the champ. Emma had the numbers game in her favor though, and a distraction from Dana Brooke allowed her to connect with the Michinoku Driver for the non-title win.

Winner: Emma

Alexa Bliss Promo

Afterward, Alexa Bliss wasted no time in challenging Emma to a championship match at Summerslam. The SmackDown Women's Champion didn't seem to see her former protege as a threat, but allowed Bliss a chance to earn the match, next week against Dana Brooke.

Challenge Accepted

We went backstage to Tyler Breeze, who was obviously shaken by the events of Battleground. He accepted Fandango's challenge for a match at Summerslam, with his Money in the Bank briefcase on the line. Will Breeze be forced to pay for his treachery or will Prince Pretty remain Mr. Money in the Bank?

The Usos vs Sami Zayn and ???- #1 Contender's Match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships

The Usos seemed confident heading into this match, but Sami Zayn had an ace up his sleeve. His tag team partner was none other than Kevin Owens! The Prizefighter has arrived to Tuesday Nights, and he and Sami seemed to be on the same page. They pulled off some nice tag team offense throughout the match, working very well together, bad blood forgotten. Jimmy and Jey Uso did their best, but it was Jimmy who would be felled with a Pop-Up Powerbomb from KO. In a show of camaraderie, Owens then tagged in Zayn, allowing him to pick up the winning fall.

Winners: Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens

The Viper's Next Challenger

Breaking news from the office of Daniel Bryan: next week on SmackDown Live, we will determine the next challenger for Intercontinental Champion Randy Orton. It will be the Cleaner, Kenny Omega, against the Beast, Brock Lesnar, in a match that surely will not disappoint.

John Cena vs Cesaro

Momentum was key for both of these men heading into the main event of Summerslam, and their collective fighting spirit led to a very even main event. Both Cena and Cesaro showed everything in their arsenal, combining power and technical skill to try and put away their opponent. The Swiss Superman would score first with the Neutralizer, but only for a near fall. Momentum shifted to the side of John Cena, as the Face That Runs The Place connected on everything, including two AA's. Somehow, nothing was enough. Fate just seemed to be on the side of Cesaro on this night, as he continued to survive. Then, he fought back. It was just a tidal wave of offense on the part of the King of Swing, capped off with a second Neutralizer that brought this stellar match to a close.

There would be no hard feelings between these two warriors, as they shook hands in a sign of respect. But The Club have no care for respect or honor, as they stormed the ring. AJ, Karl and Luke laid out Cena and Cesaro, then posed with all three belts to close the show.

Winner: Cesaro

Henry's Universe Mode #231: WrestleMania II (Part 3)

Finn Balor vs The Undertaker Finn Balor felt the full force of the strikes of The Undertaker in the early going, eating rights and lefts to the skull. The Undertaker continued to lay into Balor, dumping him to the floor with a clothesline, then following up with his vintage suicide dive! After a brief skirmish on the outside, the Deadman got destructive, grabbing the Demon's throat and driving him through the announce table with a chokeslam! It was here that The Undertaker allowed Finn Balor a chance to just give up and concede defeat, but Balor wasn't having any of it. Finn got his second wind, countering an attempted chokeslam to connect with a reverse DDT, then the shotgun dropkick in the corner. Up top, Finn connected with Coup de Grace! 1........................2.......................but it's going to take a lot more to put The Undertaker away, especially at WrestleMania. Balor laid in some shots, busting The Undertaker open, but that proved to be a huge mistake. ...

American Dad "Stompe Le Monde" Review

You know, I once tried to make it in musical theater. If only I had watched this episode beforehand, I would've known I needed a leather jacket to truly make it. Alas, those dreams are for a more pretentious soul than mine. "Stompe Le Monde" is a wild episode of American Dad, one that starts with Stan's previously unknown uncle dying and ends with wanton destruction of many Sonic Drive-Ins. It's a crazy a journey as it sounds, one that left me just struggling to keep up. The family to use the new inheritance to travel to New York City, but Stan quickly blows the money on the rights to Stomp, which is apparently a real musical. The whole town of Langley is very excited to see the new show, but Stan has no idea what he's doing, never once hiring a director or even rehearsing. Why this only came up literally minutes before opening is anyone's guess. The Smith Family is forced to go on the run, and are attacked by many ferocious coyotes off-screen. In ye...

American Dad "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" Review

American Dad as a show is definitely not afraid to get a little freaky, and nothing is more evident than the existence of Rogu, Roger's tumor that became a character himself in "Persona Assistant". Rogu primarily works as a character because he stays in the background, but this week, he takes a starring role in one of the weirdest American Dad episodes to date. "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" has little in the way of traditional plot structure, and can only barely be considered an episode at all. It's more a collection of funny and bizarre skits, with a few running plot points that end up forming some sort of resolution. Steve wants to become a babysitter, but Francine says he's not ready, so he needs to prove himself to her. He does that by taking care of Rogu, as Roger is off for a night of NSFW activities. Steve is instructed not to let Rogu have candy or screentime, but violates both rules almost immediately. It turns out that Rogu multiplies w...
