Henry's Universe Mode #197: Summerslam(Part 1)

Tonight, it all comes to an end. After a year and a half of blood, sweat and tears, it all comes full circle. Here, in the waning days of August, we bid goodbye to Henry's Universe Mode. But sorrow and regret will some later. There is still one more stop to make, one more fight to take. There will be champions crowned, dreams realized and careers changed forever. That's just what happens around here. For the final time, allow me to present to you my world, my Universe. Welcome to Summerslam.

Emma(c) vs Alexa Bliss- SmackDown Women's Championship Match

These two former allies kicked off the Biggest Party of the Summer, but they were not alone, as Emma had Dana Brooke in her corner, while Alexa was accompanied to the ring by former champion Bayley. From the start, the champion had a plan. She went to work on the back of the smaller Alexa Bliss, doing a lot of damage. Alexa could only just hang on, narrowly surviving a Michinoku Driver from Emma, the move that won her the championship. The heart of Little Miss Bliss was on full display, as she battled back to connect with Twisted Bliss, reclaiming her championship.

Winner and the NEW SmackDown Women's Champion: Alexa Bliss

Rusev(c) vs Jinder Mahal- United States Championship Match

Although these two men had been allies in the past, there was certainly no camaraderie here tonight. They traded heavy blows, neither powerhouse willing to back down. The ego of Jinder Mahal infuriated Rusev, and the Bulgarian Brute was on fire here in Brooklyn. In the end, Rusev proved to be as dominant as ever, locking in the Accolade to retain his championship.

Winner and still United States Champion: Rusev

The Club(c) vs Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens- SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match

As most might've expected, the champions controlled this match early on. Gallows and Anderson's impressive tag team work was a little too much for just Sami Zayn to handle. The tides turned when Kevin Owens was tagged in, as KO turned into a one man wrecking crew. He and Sami would take turns hitting big moves on both Anderson and Gallows, but the champions would not die, with Karl even kicking out of a Helluva Kick. This didn't faze the challengers, as Owens would be tagged in and dropped the Machine Gun with a Pop-Up Powerbomb to crown new champions.

Winners and the NEW SmackDown Tag Team Champions: Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens

Finn Balor vs Braun Strowman

Late on Saturday night, Raw GM Shane McMahon added the stipulation to this match that the winner would become number one contender to the Universal Championship. With such high stakes, Braun Strowman proved to be an unstoppable as ever, but this time, Finn Balor didn't have The Demon for a mental edge. Balor was still able to deliver a lot of damage, including a Coup de Grace, but Strowman just kept driving forward. He devastated Finn with a Running Powerslam, then another, but the Monster Among Men, wearing the wounds of war, couldn't capitalize. Both men were bloodied, and began exchanging rights and lefts. Finn appeared to have somehow won the exchange, but got caught into the triangle choke. The devastating hold put Balor to sleep, and Braun Strowman avenged his humiliation at Extreme Rules.

Winner: Braun Strowman

That's the end of Part 1 of Summerslam. Come back later today for Part 2 and Part 3, as the Biggest Party of the Summer continues.

American Dad "Twinanigans" Review

It's been a while since the last Steve and Roger episode, and this week reminded me why that's such a classic American Dad pairing. This is a genuinely fun episode, filled with some great one liners and even a great callback to the show's past. "Twinanigans" centers around the heretofore unmentioned acting careers of Roger and Steve, who twinned it up as the Smith Brothers. I'm not going to question whether this backstory actually makes sense to the overall timeline; no one watches American Dad for continuity. Steve had to give up acting to attend kindergarten, and wants to give Roger a second chance at greatness. The two head to auditions, where Steve impresses and Roger blows it. It's here the episode kinda misfires, as it's never made abundantly clear why Roger struggles so much at acting. Is he just trying too hard, does he have some form of stage fright, does he not even know what acting is? This part of the story is just never explained, w...

The Route of Life

dedicated to my hermits, who changed my life Ch 1 My Hermit crabs Hermit crabs are sometimes hard to take care of. Especially when you never had a hermit. Last Sunday afternoon I got 2 Hermit crabs. Their names are Crabbe and Goyle. I have talked with many sales people. The first Petco we went to (where we got the hermits and their things) seemed to have no idea on the subject. So we ended up going to Dolphin Pet Village. They were more experience at the subject. Now we have some of the things we will need. Last week, I went to a second Petco. There we got a cuttlebone, which is the bone of a fish. Now they look happy. Have a good day Hermit Crabs! Ch 2 Curious Crab The week before last week, my mom looked into my crabitat and found that one of my crabs had climbed one of my fake trees. It was on the top branch. Later, when I was changing to get ready for bed, the crab fell out of his branch. I hope he is okay. He’s definitely starting to look okay. How funny do you think that story is...

Henry's Pay-Per-View Reviews: ECW Heatwave 1998

As the world collectively loses it's mind over the coronavirus(this could be a fun intro to look back on in the future), the only sanity that can be found is in the ring. Let's take a look today at what is often considered ECW's finest outing, Heatwave '98. - Jokes aside, everyone should stay safe out there. I know it's easy to panic about these mass outbreaks, and I've certainly felt very nervous about everything I've heard and read over the past week. But I think we all need some fun in our lives right now, and this show is the epitome of distraction. - The opening contest is one of the highlights of the night, as Jerry Lynn takes on Justin Credible. Credible has an entire entourage in his corner, including Chastity, Jason and Nicole Bass, and their involvement in this match at times bordered on excessive. But the match begins to hit it's peak when Lynn puts Credible through a table with a hurricanrana, and it's all fantastic from...
