The Revolution: Episode 6(Strong Style)

On this episode of The Revolution, the quarter-finals of the NXT Championship Tournament begin. Roman Reigns and Cesaro meet in an eagerly anticipated contest, while AJ Styles battles Roderick Strong in our main event.

Roman Reigns vs Cesaro- NXT Championship Tournament Quarter-Finals Match

An early test of strength between these two men proved nothing, as both are among the most powerful NXT has to offer. Instead, they worked a very physical, hard-hitting match, taking lumps out of each other the whole way. Cesaro showed a more desperate approach, as without Sheamus by his side, he seemed very concerned he wouldn't be able to get the job done. He went for covers after every big move, not getting too much in the way of counts, although he did get a close near fall off of an impressive trio of gutwrench suplexes. Roman Reigns was more patient, conserving his energy and waiting for his opportunity. He was able to connect with his slick sit-out cruicifix powerbomb, and the chance was now there. Vicious Spear to the midsection, but it was perhaps too early, as Cesaro was able to kick out at two. The "Swiss Superman" showed us all what he's capable of, dropping Reigns with a dropkick before taking to the skies to deliver a top rope double axe handle! Sharpshooter applied, but Roman was able to fight to the ropes. What he couldn't escape was the Neutralizer, right in the middle of the ring! One......two........but Reigns got his shoulder up. Who was going to hit the next big move? The answer was Reigns, with a superman punch that busted Cesaro open. To the corner, measuring his man....

But countered! Cesaro countered the Spear attempt with a DDT! A stunned Reigns was completely out of it....

Winner: Cesaro
Finish: Neutralizer

AJ Styles vs Roderick Strong- NXT Championship Tournament Quarter-Finals Match

AJ Styles was very confident entering this match, but his confidence was diminished almost immediately, as Strong quickly stunned him with an enziguri. From there, it was all Roddy, as Strong dominated the match, putting AJ on the defensive. The big moves connected early, as Strong nearly advanced following a deadlift back suplex and then again got a near fall off of a ridiculous top rope back breaker, smashing AJ's spine into the top turnbuckle. Styles used his speed and agility to try and stay ahead, getting close with his own enziguri and a pele kick. It all seemed to be for naught, as an attempted springboard moonsault put him right in position for the End of Heartache. Unlike the first round, Strong capitalized on the move with a cover, but Styles just survived, as he intelligently got his foot to the bottom rope. A second End of Heartache was signaled, but in an incredible feat of agility, AJ managed to land on his feet to counter the move. A blitz of forearms and kicks awaited Strong, who was floored with a clothesline. AJ climbed to the top rope, and reached deep into his arsenal, pulling out the Spiral Tap! The fans at Full Sail were going wild, and there was one last big move left....

Winner: AJ Styles
Finish: Styles Clash

American Dad "Twinanigans" Review

It's been a while since the last Steve and Roger episode, and this week reminded me why that's such a classic American Dad pairing. This is a genuinely fun episode, filled with some great one liners and even a great callback to the show's past. "Twinanigans" centers around the heretofore unmentioned acting careers of Roger and Steve, who twinned it up as the Smith Brothers. I'm not going to question whether this backstory actually makes sense to the overall timeline; no one watches American Dad for continuity. Steve had to give up acting to attend kindergarten, and wants to give Roger a second chance at greatness. The two head to auditions, where Steve impresses and Roger blows it. It's here the episode kinda misfires, as it's never made abundantly clear why Roger struggles so much at acting. Is he just trying too hard, does he have some form of stage fright, does he not even know what acting is? This part of the story is just never explained, w...

Henry's Pay-Per-View Reviews: ECW Heatwave 1998

As the world collectively loses it's mind over the coronavirus(this could be a fun intro to look back on in the future), the only sanity that can be found is in the ring. Let's take a look today at what is often considered ECW's finest outing, Heatwave '98. - Jokes aside, everyone should stay safe out there. I know it's easy to panic about these mass outbreaks, and I've certainly felt very nervous about everything I've heard and read over the past week. But I think we all need some fun in our lives right now, and this show is the epitome of distraction. - The opening contest is one of the highlights of the night, as Jerry Lynn takes on Justin Credible. Credible has an entire entourage in his corner, including Chastity, Jason and Nicole Bass, and their involvement in this match at times bordered on excessive. But the match begins to hit it's peak when Lynn puts Credible through a table with a hurricanrana, and it's all fantastic from...

Henry's Universe Mode #205: SmackDown Live

Over the weekend, big news was broken by SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan, as he announced two title rematches for No Mercy. First up, Kenny Omega will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Randy Orton, and in the second, John Cena will look to make his first defense as WWE Champion against AJ Styles. Tonight on SmackDown Live, it's another Summerslam rematch in the main event, as Alexa Bliss defends against Emma. Can the Australian Sensation punch her ticket to No Mercy? Plus, Heath Slater takes on Aiden English, and the Phenomenal One, AJ Styles, is in singles action. Universe Mode SmackDown Live September 12th, 2017 Location: Dallas, TX Heath Slater vs Aiden English This was a big chance for momentum for both of these two men, as Slater was kicked out of the Social Outcasts a few months ago, while English's tag team partner, Simon Gotch, was recently released. Both of these men showed a lot of potential, and got the crowd invested on a couple of nea...
