So, we start out with bad news: Jason Garrison is out for a week or two, meaning Brett Lebda will now play. My new idea is to sim 3 games, and then play the fourth. Then I'll sim an extra 3 games. That will make the season faster, and I'll be able to play more seasons in the future.
Game 9 was a return home against the Lightning. In the first period, both Derek Roy and Daniel Sedin scored for the Canucks. Pouliot got one for the Lightning, but was answered by Christopher Higgins. Burrows added two more in the third for a 5-1 win.
Game 10 was a home redemption game against the Red Wings. David Booth got the first tally of the game in the first period for the lead. Hamhuis scored on the power play, but was answered by Datsyuk and Brunner, and the game was tied and went into overtime. Derek Roy scored in the shootout, after overtime went scoreless, and the Canucks won back-to-back games.
The homestand continued against the Avs, as Jason Garrison returned to active duty and Johan Hedberg took the start. Hunwick and Parenteau scored in the second, and were answered by one from Edler. However, Hejduk got another for the Avs entering the third. The Canucks came storming back, as Edler, Roy, and Daniel Sedin all scored for the comeback victory.
The last game of the home stand, and the one I played, was against the Montreal Canadiens. Subban scored on the powerplay to make it a 1-0 Canadiens lead in the second. Pacioretty scored another one to make it 2-0. Carey Price held it there for a 31-shot shutout.
Bad news came before our next game, as Alexander Burrows will be out for almost two months, meaning that Zack Kassian will make his return to the team. We head to Anaheim to take on the Ducks in Game 13. Cogliano, Lydman, and Zibanejad all scored for Anaheim, and were answered by Henrik Sedin and Chris Higgins to make it 3-2. Getzlaf scored early in the third to put it away, and the final score was 4-2.
The second of the California back-to-back was against the Kings in LA. Hansen and Kesler got on the board in the second to make it 2-0. Daniel Sedin's goal in the third made it 3-0, and Luongo posted a 27-shot shutout.
The final game is against the Avs in Colorado. Parenteau got a powerplay marker early in the second, but was answered by a powerplay goal from Jason Garrison. However, Parenteau scored again in the third, and Duchene added the empty-netter for the win.
Thanks for dropping by! The schedule will change again next time, so stay tuned! Canucks record: 7-7-1
