Tye Dillinger vs Fandango
The latest clue in the Fashion Police's investigation seemed to point toward a member of the Money in the Bank ladder match being the culprit. Believing the assailant to be the Perfect Ten, Deputy Dango went one on one with Tye Dillinger. The two put on a very even, back and forth contest, with Tyler Breeze looking on from ringside, handing out tickets to fashion faux pas in the crowd. In the end, though, it would be Tye that stood tall, delivering a Tye Breaker for the win.
The bad news got worse for Fandango, as after the match, backstage reporter Renee Young revealed that she saw Dillinger backstage moments before the attack. The case remains open.
Winner: Tye Dillinger
Darren Young vs Kenny Omega
Kenny Omega had been a lot of topic of conversation over the past few days, after calling out John Cena's "sub-par" performance in SmackDown's main event last week. Whatever you think of his bold words, Omega is a hell of a competitor, putting away Darren Young in quick fashion with a Croyt's Wrath.
Winner: Kenny Omega
John Cena Promo
Out came the Face That Runs The Place, who said that Omega should keep his words soft and sweet, because he may soon have to eat them. He challenge The Cleaner to a match at Battleground, and Omega was quick to accept, calling Cena "the past".
Enzo and Big Cass vs The Vaudevillains
The Realest Guys were looking for a rebound performance as they went two on two with the returning Vaudevillains. As usual, Enzo took a lot of punishment for the bulk of the match, before making the hot tag to Big Cass. Unlike normal, though, Enzo would tag himself back into the match a few minutes later, much to the dismay of Cass. Aiden English and Simon Gotch would take advantage of this distraction, connecting with a Whirling Dervish to get the three count.
Winners: The Vaudevillains
A Phenomenal Challenge
A pre-recorded message then played, featuring WWE Champion AJ Styles flanked by The Club. He was irked by the actions of Bray Wyatt last week, and said that it was time to finish the rivalry between these two factions. An elimination six-man tag team match at Battleground, with the Wyatts' tag titles and AJ's WWE title on the line. The winners will hold all the gold, and prove that they are the most dominant group in Universe Mode. Later in the show, the Wyatts accepted.
Bayley(c) vs Charlotte- SmackDown Women's Championship Match
Right away, this championship match was in favor of the challenger, as Charlotte went right after Bayley. With the monstrous presence of Nia Jax in her corner, the Queen was firing on all cylinders, taking complete control of the contest. Bayley didn't get out of the gates at all, and soon found herself locked in the Figure Eight submission hold. Despite her lack of offense, the champion still had the heart to fight on, getting out of the hold but immediately getting caught with a Natural Selection. Even that wasn't enough, as Bayley gamely lifted her shoulder before three. A frustrated Charlotte ordered Nia Jax to attack, losing interest in the championship. Before she could, Alexa Bliss made her big return to a huge pop, fighting off Jax and evening the odds. Off the distraction, the Bayley-to-Belly connected, and the Huggable One survived to fight another day.
Winner and still SmackDown Women's Champion: Bayley
