Over the weekend, big news was broken by SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan, as he announced two title rematches for No Mercy. First up, Kenny Omega will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Randy Orton, and in the second, John Cena will look to make his first defense as WWE Champion against AJ Styles.
Tonight on SmackDown Live, it's another Summerslam rematch in the main event, as Alexa Bliss defends against Emma. Can the Australian Sensation punch her ticket to No Mercy? Plus, Heath Slater takes on Aiden English, and the Phenomenal One, AJ Styles, is in singles action.

Heath Slater vs Aiden English
This was a big chance for momentum for both of these two men, as Slater was kicked out of the Social Outcasts a few months ago, while English's tag team partner, Simon Gotch, was recently released. Both of these men showed a lot of potential, and got the crowd invested on a couple of near falls. In the end, Slater connected with the Smash Hit DDT for the three.
Winner: Heath Slater
Finding His Place?
After the match, it appeared Slater's former teammates were not prepared to let him celebrate his big win. Axel and Dallas tried to get the jump on the One Man Band, but in a surprising turn of events, Heath was able to fight them off. That was until Aiden English took a cheap shot, taking down Slater from behind, and then all three men laid a beatdown. Did the Social Outcasts just find a new member?
Another Title Match Made
Backstage, we saw Kevin Owens searching for his tag team partner. He found Sami Zayn in the midst of conducting an interview for WWE.com, and got right in his face. He wanted to know why Sami was too late to help during the beatdown by Gallows and Anderson last week. Zayn apologized, stating that he wanted to give Owens some space, given all they had been through. KO didn't seem ready to accept this explanation, but moved on to state that he had gone to Daniel Bryan, and told the GM that they will defend the titles at No Mercy against The Club. Sami seemed incredulous that Owens would go behind his back, but didn't bring it up, fearful of further confrontation.
Fandango vs AJ Styles
With his WWE Championship rematch coming up at No Mercy, AJ Styles could not afford to lose this match against the beloved Fandango. Early on, the Ballroom Brawler looked quite impressive, as he had a point to prove following a big loss at Summerslam to Tyler Breeze. Fandango looked as motivated as we've ever seen him, and this Dallas crowd was right behind him the whole way. Against just about anyone else, he would've had his hand raised, but he was in there with the absolute best in the business. AJ pulled out a new move, a crunching butterfly lungblower, and then finished it off with the Styles Clash.
Winner: AJ Styles
Alexa Bliss(c) vs Emma- SmackDown Women's Championship Match
Emma nearly cost the new champion during her non-title match last week against Naomi, and tonight Alexa Bliss was out for revenge. There was never any need for a feeling out process here; these two women know each other too well for that. This was a fight between two of SmackDown's best athletes, and a personal collision between the former mentor and student. Emma focused on her power game, using multiple powerbombs, while Alexa showed off her unbelievable athleticism at any opportunity. It was the challenger that got the first big shot when she hit the Michinoku Driver, but it was only a near fall. Bliss tried to build a comeback, but Emma had all the answers. A second Michinoku Driver, then a big running powerbomb, and still, the Wicked Witch of SmackDown Live survived. The fans tried desperately to get Alexa to rally, but she just needed one opportunity. From deep in the championship reserve, she pulled out a hell of a forearm that nearly knocked Emma unconscious. Insault to Injury, and then Twisted Bliss was the recipe to victory, as Alexa continued on to No Mercy, surviving perhaps her greatest challenge in a fantastic contest.
Winner and still SmackDown Women's Champion: Alexa Bliss
