Nia Jax(c) vs Bayley- SmackDown Women's Championship Match
Bayley opened the match with a series of hard rights and lefts, which seemed to have no effect on the champion. Nia Jax was out to prove her dominance, and prove it she did. Bayley was helpless against the Force of the Greatness, and any attempts at a comeback were useless. Jax lifted the challenger up and slammed her down with the Samoan Drop to earn another title defense.
Winner and still SmackDown Women's Champion: Nia Jax
Shinsuke Nakamura(c) vs Dolph Ziggler- United States Championship Match
The United States Champion used quite a few mind games in the build up to this match, and looked to use a few more as the bell rang. Dolph was having none of it, nearly knocking some of Nakamura's teeth out with a nasty headbutt. As the match progressed, it would grow more and more physical, with the most extreme moment coming as Ziggler took a reverse exploder on the steel ramp. After two near falls coming off a diving heel kick and a knee across the chest, Nakamura began to look for the Kinshasa. Ziggler countered with the Famouser, and then dropped the dazed champion with the Zig-Zag! 1............2................but Nakamura kicked out! Ziggler was beside himself, but was intelligent enough to stop arguing with the ref and go for the superkick. But before the devastating kick could connect, Shinsuke caught Dolph with a small package, and got the three!
Winner and still United States Champion: Shinsuke Nakamura
An Unceremonious Exit
As Shinsuke Nakamura proudly held his championship aloft, he turned right into the superkick! An angry, bitter Dolph Ziggler left the ring to a chorus of boos, leaving the champion behind in a heap.
Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens(c) vs The Usos- SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
Before this match could even begin, all hell broke loose as Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens started a brawl, furious about the Usos' attack on Zayn a few weeks prior. However, this played right into the challenger's hands, as the Usos thrived in the chaos. Once the match officially began, they took full control, using cheap shots and double team moves to wear down Kevin Owens. Try as he might, Owens just couldn't get momentum flowing the champions' way. A clearly injured Sami Zayn stood no chance after getting tagged in, and the Usos put him away with a double Uso Splash to capture the tag team championships for the first time in Universe Mode.
Winners and the NEW SmackDown Tag Team Champions: The Usos
Chris Jericho vs Kurt Angle
These two old school wrestlers started out at a measured pace, exchanging holds after a collar and elbow tie up. As you could expect, Kurt Angle quickly took control, taking Chris Jericho out with a nasty powerbomb. Y2J would focus on trying to outmaneuver Angle, using his decades of experience in the ring. Angle would take back control with a couple of german suplexes, which set up his trademark moonsault! That was only for a near fall, and Angle focused on working the right leg of Jericho, trying to apply the ankle lock. Jericho countered, and smoothly locked in the Walls of Jericho! After Kurt escaped, Jericho looked to stay on the attack, trying to hit the Codebreaker. Another counter, and Angle dropped down and got the ankle lock! Jericho wriggled free, and hit the Codebreaker! 1..................2.............but not enough! A frustrated Chris Jericho looked to embarrass Angle, slapping him in the face. The match continued, as Angle looked twice for the Angle Slam, but couldn't connect. Jericho played fast and loose with the rules, getting away with an eyerake. He climbed the turnbuckles, seemingly setting up for a top rope Codebreaker. With one last burst of effort, Angle scampered to the top, sending both men crashing down with a german suplex! Jericho stumbled to his feet...............Angle Slam! As retribution for his behavior in the match, Angle drilled Jericho with another Angle Slam, before making the cover and becoming the new number one contender.
Winner: Kurt Angle
