Welcome to the Royal Rumble, the first step on the Road to WrestleMania. Tonight, Nia Jax and Sasha Banks defend their championships against hungry challengers, as they attempt to head to the Show of Shows with gold. Plus, Shinsuke Nakamura and Dolph Ziggler meet in an Extreme Rules match, and Tyler Breeze faces his reckoning in the form of John Cena. In our main event, 30 men will enter and 1 will leave with a ticket to the main event of WrestleMania. Could the winner be last year's victor, Samoa Joe? Could it be the returning Goldberg? How about the ever dangerous Bray Wyatt? Maybe this is the golden opportunity for one of NXT's entrants? Or will it be the still unknown number 30 entrant? One man's life is about to change forever. It's time, for the Royal Rumble.

Sasha Banks(c) vs Ruby Riot- Raw Women's Championship Match
Ruby Riot gave a spirited effort in our Royal Rumble opener, as she used her speed and athleticism to full effectiveness. After escaping an early attempt at the Bank Statement, Riot climbed up high to hit a top rope senton for a near fall. Sasha Banks could've been in trouble before, but the two time Raw Women's Champion still had a few tricks up her sleeve. As Ruby set up for the Riot Kick, Sasha countered with a swift eye rake and applied the Bank Statement to defend her title.
Winner and still Raw Women's Champion: Sasha Banks
Nia Jax(c) vs Charlotte- SmackDown Women's Championship Match
As always, Nia Jax was damn near unbeatable, but Charlotte certainly put up quite a fight. Time and again, Charlotte showed fighting spirit, taking all that Nia could offer. The Queen would even get a near fall off her top rope moonsault, but simply couldn't apply the Figure Eight. Jax quickly hit a big powerslam and delivered the big leg drop, but yet again, Charlotte was not done fighting yet. The challenger, with one last burst, tried to get a rally going, but as she went for another moonsault, Nia caught her and delivered the Samoan Drop for another win.
Winner and still SmackDown Women's Champion: Nia Jax
Shinsuke Nakamura(c) vs Dolph Ziggler- Extreme Rules Match for the United States Championship
Dolph Ziggler was not willing to wait to get his chance to deliver punishment to Shinsuke Nakamura and win the championship, as he started throwing hands during Nakamura's entrance. The story of this match was Ziggler's use of weapons, as he hit Nakamura with a kendo stick, a trash can and a steel chair, multiple times. The King of Strong Style is his own weapon, and Shinsuke used his elbows and knees to bust Dolph open. The fight went all over the arena and eventually through the announce table, both men taking equal punishment. Ziggler was up first, and took Nakamura back inside the ropes. The Show-off began to focus on Nakamura's knee, looking to take the Kinshasa out of the equation. But after Ziggler missed a diving elbow targeted at the knee, Nakamura was back in it, and was finally ready for payback. Armed with the chair, the champion lost his mind, cracking the challenger over and over again with the weapon. It was certainly disturbing to see Shinsuke go to such a dark place, but it was necessary. Dolph Ziggler could barely stand, and had no chance to kick out after he ate a Kinshasa to the jaw.
Winner and still United States Champion: Shinsuke Nakamura
Tyler Breeze(c) vs John Cena- WWE Championship Match
With the advice of Drew McIntyre, Tyler Breeze gave it as good as he got, not backing from the challenge of an infuriated John Cena. Surprisingly, Cena was actually wrestling from behind for most of the match, as the younger Tyler Breeze stayed one step ahead. Twice, Cena connected on the Five Knuckle Shuffle, but both times, McIntyre staged a distraction. This gave Breeze his first opening, and he took it, taking down Cena with the Unprettier! 1................2...............but anger gave John Cena strength, and he kicked out. For the first time, the challenger shifted momentum, hitting a series of shoulder tackles and lifting Tyler Breeze to the top rope. From there, Cena pulled out his biggest move, delivering a top rope AA, but the champion had just enough intellect to fall near the ropes. That move may have ended the match, but Breeze got his foot to the bottom rope in time. Down the final stretch they went, as Cena looked three separate times. But Tyler Breeze was undaunted, and stunned everyone as he pulled out the Beauty Shot! He only got some of Cena the first time, but a second Beauty Shot quickly connected! 1.........................2.....................3!
Winner and still WWE Champion: Tyler Breeze
