The Dog League: Week 6 Preview(2018 Season)

Tug of War attempts to rebound from a poor showing as they face third place Tailwaggerz. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com)

Rare Woofs

Current Record: (1-4, 6th place)

With starting receivers Golden Tate and Michael Thomas on bye, Rare Woofs has made some changes this week. Calvin Ridley moves out of the flex spot, leaving it open for Isaiah Crowell, who had a great game last week. Back-up tight end Kyle Rudolph was dropped for Julian Edelman, who will immediately start, while the Titans defense were dropped for the Bears.

Week 6 Starting Line-Up(vs Ridiculous Rascals)

QB Andrew Luck
RB T.J. Yeldon
RB Todd Gurley
WR Julian Edelman
WR Calvin Ridley
TE Rob Gronkowski
RB Isaiah Crowell
K Stephen Gostkowski
DEF Chicago Bears

Leaping Girl

Current Record: (1-4, 5th place)

As the struggles continue for Leaping Girl, plenty of changes are coming yet again. At quarterback, Philip Rivers was dropped for Kirk Cousins, who starts over the banged up Deshaun Watson. With Matt Breida out injured, Jordan Reed is ousted for James White, who takes Breida's starting spot. Vance McDonald was dropped for George Kittle, and John Brown gets the flex spot over Keenan Allen. Finally, Emma will stream in the Packers defense, dropping the Broncos.

Week 6 Starting Line-Up(vs Bark Force)

QB Kirk Cousins
RB James White
RB Ezekiel Elliott
WR DeAndre Hopkins
WR Adam Thielen
TE George Kittle
WR John Brown
K Justin Tucker
DEF Green Bay Packers

Bark Force

Current Record: (2-3, 4th place)

With a huge win against Tug of War last week, Bark Force now looks like a legitimate threat. They get back Mike Evans this week, who sends Stefon Diggs to the bench. Bark Force looks to make two stash plays, as they add Mark Ingram and Tyler Lockett for Royce Freeman and Adrian Peterson. The big decision this week, obviously, is who starts between Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady. For now, Bark Force will go with Brady, but they may yet change their mind.

Week 6 Starting Line-Up(vs Leaping Girl)

QB Tom Brady
RB Sony Michel
RB Saquon Barkley
WR Mike Evans
WR Odell Beckham
TE Travis Kelce
WR JuJu Smith-Schuster
K Harrison Butker
DEF Baltimore Ravens

Tailwaggerz

Current Record: (3-2, 3rd place)

In a week with a lot of moves, Tailwaggerz will keep it simple this week, reversing their late call from last week, as Davante Adams starts over Tyler Boyd.

Week 6 Starting Line-Up(vs Tug of War)

QB Jared Goff
RB David Johnson
RB Kareem Hunt
WR Davante Adams
WR Cooper Kupp
TE Jared Cook
RB James Conner
K Matt Bryant
DEF Houston Texans

Ridiculous Rascals

Current Record: (4-1, 2nd place)

Rascal will make a potentially risky play this week, as Tyreek Hill is benched for Robert Woods. With the Saints on bye, Aaron Rodgers regains his starting spot from Drew Brees and Wil Lutz was dropped for Cody Parkey. Finally, Rascal wasn't happy with the play of Aaron Jones, and dropped him for boom-or-bust option Robby Anderson.

Week 6 Starting Line-Up(vs Rare Woofs)

QB Aaron Rodgers
RB Melvin Gordon
RB Christian McCaffrey
WR Antonio Brown
WR Robert Woods
TE Eric Ebron
RB Joe Mixon
K Cody Parkey
DEF Los Angeles Rams

Tug of War

Current Record: (4-1, 1st place)

With Alvin Kamara out on bye, a running back spot in open, and Tug of War will now try to fill it. First, they activated Option C(the ability to replace an injured starter with a back-up, not counting as a waiver move) on Jay Ajayi, adding Corey Clement. After Devonta Freeman's struggles last week, he is dropped again, this time for Phillip Lindsay. In a headline move, Lindsay will join the returning Jordan Howard in the starting line-up. If Lindsay succeeds, this has the potential to be one of the best moves in Dog League history.

Week 6 Starting Line-Up(vs Tailwaggerz)

QB Matt Ryan
RB Jordan Howard
RB Phillip Lindsay
WR A.J. Green
WR Julio Jones
TE Zach Ertz
WR Brandin Cooks
K Dan Bailey
DEF Jacksonville Jaguars

American Dad "Twinanigans" Review

It's been a while since the last Steve and Roger episode, and this week reminded me why that's such a classic American Dad pairing. This is a genuinely fun episode, filled with some great one liners and even a great callback to the show's past. "Twinanigans" centers around the heretofore unmentioned acting careers of Roger and Steve, who twinned it up as the Smith Brothers. I'm not going to question whether this backstory actually makes sense to the overall timeline; no one watches American Dad for continuity. Steve had to give up acting to attend kindergarten, and wants to give Roger a second chance at greatness. The two head to auditions, where Steve impresses and Roger blows it. It's here the episode kinda misfires, as it's never made abundantly clear why Roger struggles so much at acting. Is he just trying too hard, does he have some form of stage fright, does he not even know what acting is? This part of the story is just never explained, w...

Curious Crab

One Monday night my mom looked into my crabitat and found that a crab had climbed into one of my fake trees. It was in the top branch. I looked in later, and found that the crab had fallen out of the tree. I hope he is okay. What a day!

The Route of Life

dedicated to my hermits, who changed my life Ch 1 My Hermit crabs Hermit crabs are sometimes hard to take care of. Especially when you never had a hermit. Last Sunday afternoon I got 2 Hermit crabs. Their names are Crabbe and Goyle. I have talked with many sales people. The first Petco we went to (where we got the hermits and their things) seemed to have no idea on the subject. So we ended up going to Dolphin Pet Village. They were more experience at the subject. Now we have some of the things we will need. Last week, I went to a second Petco. There we got a cuttlebone, which is the bone of a fish. Now they look happy. Have a good day Hermit Crabs! Ch 2 Curious Crab The week before last week, my mom looked into my crabitat and found that one of my crabs had climbed one of my fake trees. It was on the top branch. Later, when I was changing to get ready for bed, the crab fell out of his branch. I hope he is okay. He’s definitely starting to look okay. How funny do you think that story is...
