The Dog League: Week 13 Review(2018 Season)

Leaping Girl fights for her life and Rascal chokes in Week 13 of the Dog League. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com)

Game 1: Tug of War(69.74) vs Rare Woofs(86.42)

ANALYSIS

Ouch. Tug of War majorly lets down Phillip Lindsay(27.9 points) who had the game of his life without any help from the rest of the team. The two Falcons, Matt Ryan(7.64 points) and Julio Jones(1.8 points) majorly disappointed, and the early exit of A.J. Green(0.7 points) didn't help. The interesting duo of star running back Todd Gurley(28.5 points) and kicker Justin Tucker(14 points) led Rare Woofs to the win, and they have now all but clinched a playoff spot.

Game 2: Tailwaggerz(122.1) vs Leaping Girl(118.3)

ANALYSIS

After losing Kareem Hunt on Friday, Tailwaggerz narrowly pulled out a win to put themselves in the driver's seat to claim the regular season championship. No player scored over 20 points, but Jared Cook(16 points) and the Texans defense(18 points) delivered some unexpected high scoring. Keenan Allen(22.8 points) delivered a stellar Sunday night performance for Leaping Girl, but it simply wasn't enough to get the job done. Leaping Girl is now the first team to miss the playoffs in Dog League history, which has to sting.

Game 3: Bark Force(119.76) vs Ridiculous Rascals(107.38)

ANALYSIS

Needing either a win or a Tailwaggerz loss to win the regular season championship, Ridiculous Rascals got neither, dropping out of first place. Christian McCaffrey(22.1 points) was great once more, but a poor performance from Drew Brees(7.28 points) and an injury to Greg Olsen(1.3 points) dealt Rascal a tough loss. Bark Force didn't get much from most of their team, but the Chiefs got the job done, with Patrick Mahomes(33 points) and Travis Kelce(26.8 points) playing at an extremely high level.

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...

Latest Update on new puppy

As you may well know from my mom's posts, there is a handsome puppy in the house. His name is Rascal, which appropriately fits him. Before Tuesday, he'd never had much problem with the crate, something I found interesting. He'd also never experienced anxiety issues when people came and left. Then yesterday, my dad and I were standing in the driveway organizing things for a trip to Goodwill. All of a sudden, Rascal freaked out. Some history behind the newest member of our family. Rascal was a stray in Hollister, when CARE, a rescue organization, found him. At this time Rascal was estimated to be about 2 months old, the age of a puppy when you first get them. He went to another family, who had him for quite a while, around 5 months. Then, without explanation, this family moved to Ohio, surrendering Rascal. CARE once again had him and his crazy antics for about a month. Rascal's name was changed to Boots in his time with CARE, but he wouldn't answer to that name. He ...
