Shane McMahon Promo
The Raw GM made his way to the ring to a chorus of boos, as fans certainly had not forgotten his actions in last week's main event. He made his stance very clear; Shane McMahon does not like Braun Strowman, and never has. Strowman goes against everything Shane believes are important to the business, and everything he's been raised to believe. Braun Strowman does not have respect, Braun Strowman does not have humility, he's just a monster that enjoys hurting people. Shane will make a promise, right here and right now; as long as he's in charge of this brand, Braun Strowman will never be a part of Raw again. Shane does want to be somewhat reasonable, so as long as Braun makes no attempt to appear on Raw programming or attend any Raw event, he will still be paid the remainder of his contract.
Elias vs Goldust
This match pitted one of Raw's veterans against a top up and comer. Elias got the win after a well-placed knee to the head and his Drift Away swinging neckbreaker.
Winner: Elias
Next Week on Raw
After his win over Cesaro, The Miz has earned himself a fantastic opportunity. Next week, in the main event of Raw, he faces the new Universal Champion, Aleister Black!
Kalisto vs Roman Reigns
Kalisto was representing the new Raw faction known as the Lucha House Party, a trio of himself, Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado. The Shield seemed to have absolutely no respect for the luchadores, with Ambrose and Rollins laying out Metalik and Dorado at ringisde. This distracted Kalisto, and he quickly ate a Superman Punch and a Spear as Roman Reigns picked up momentum for the Hounds of Justice ahead of their match with the New Day at Backlash.
Winner: Roman Reigns
Cesaro vs Tommaso Ciampa
Cesaro was determined not to let last week's loss get to him, as he brought the fight to the United States Champion. But Tommaso Ciampa thrives on chaos, and Cesaro simply couldn't compete. The Swiss Cyborg did get a few near falls, but Ciampa countered the Neutralizer and delivered the killing blow, the devastating sliding knee strike that knocked Cesaro clean out.
Winner: Tommaso Ciampa
Post-Match
Tommaso Ciampa seemed to be enjoying himself, and lined up the recovering Cesaro for another wicked knee to the skull. But before he could deliver, Kassius Ohno slid into the ring! The former NXT competitor was all fired up, and sent Ciampa on a "tactical retreat".
Alexa Bliss vs Mickie James vs Natalya- #1 Contender's Match
From the start, this match was a showcase of just how much Natalya improved after being sent down to NXT. She showed some impressive athleticism with a few dropkicks, some nicely innovative strikes and still possessed superior technical skills. This was her match to win, and after dodging a Mick Kick from Mickie James, the win was within reach. Natalya nailed James with the discus lariat, and locked in the Sharpshooter! Mickie was moments away from tapping, with the crowd on Natalya's side, but Alexa had other ideas. She delivered a devastating superkick to the skull of Natalya, before hitting Twisted Bliss to Mickie, who had taken so much damage already and stood no chance of kicking out. Alexa Bliss has earned herself a championship match against Becky Lynch, in what will be a rematch of their show-stealer at No Mercy last year.
Winner: Alexa Bliss
