The 2019 season kicks off for the Dog League this week, as after months of inactivity the six teams finally get a chance to see what their new rosters can do. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com)
Leaping Girl
As long as the Dog League has existed, Leaping Girl has been a laughingstock, finishing in last place in all three seasons. Picking last in the draft, she procured a decent roster before taking a major stroke of bad luck, as Melvin Gordon has held out for a new contract and his status is in limbo. Leaping Girl starts off the year by sorting out her Charger running back situation. With Gordon missing at least Week 1, she drops Justin Jackson and picks up Austin Ekeler. Ekeler starts over Devonta Freeman in the flex spot, while Phillip Lindsay becomes the team's #2 back.
UPDATE: After a tumultuous, Antonio Brown has been released by the Raiders and Emma has let him go to, bringing in Josh Gordon though Chris Godwin will get the start.

WR Mike Evans
WR Chris Godwin
TE George Kittle

Bark Force
Bark Force were expected to be challenging for the title last year, but imploded with two consecutive losses in the playoffs. They return for redemption this year, with a stacked roster that's absolutely ready to go for opening week. They did make one change on defense, dropping the Rams who have a tough match-up in Carolina, to acquire the Seahawks who face the Bengals in Week 1.
Week 1 Starting Lineup(vs Leaping Girl)
QB Patrick Mahomes
RB Todd Gurley
RB Nick Chubb
WR DeAndre Hopkins
WR JuJu Smith-Schuster
TE O.J. Howard
WR Stefon Diggs

Rare Woofs
It was one of the biggest shocks last season when Rare Woofs stunned the pundits by narrowly sliding into the playoffs, where they upset the Ridiculous Rascals and came just short of claiming the Dog League title. They were underdogs last year by certainly not this year, as they put together a fantastic draft that sees many declare them the favorites for this season. They do make a change at quarterback, favoring experience over youth early on as Cam Newton replaces Baker Mayfield.
UPDATE: Rare Woofs will now start the Broncos defense over the Chargers this week, as Denver faces a Raider team in turmoil.
Week 1 Starting Lineup(vs Ridiculous Rascals)
QB Cam Newton
RB Dalvin Cook
RB Christian McCaffrey
WR Davante Adams
WR Amari Cooper
TE Travis Kelce
WR Julian Edelman
K Wil Lutz
DEF Denver Broncos
Tailwaggerz
For the first two years of The Dog League, Tailwaggerz were known as the biggest underachievers, frequently putting together rosters that were great on paper but failed to deliver in the high pressure moments. But last year, that all changed, as a seven game winning streak kept Tailwaggerz in the title conversation all season long. And despite losing Kareem Hunt late, they never slowed down, taking down Bark Force and Rare Woofs to win their first title. This year, they have another great roster, though will not have A.J. Green early on, replacing him with Chris Carson. They also have an early QB controversy going, as they've chosen to start Deshaun Watson over Drew Brees as both stars meet up on Monday Night.
Week 1 Starting Lineup(vs Tug of War)
QB Deshaun Watson
RB David Johnson
RB Alvin Kamara
WR T.Y. Hilton
WR Odell Beckham
TE Evan Engram
RB Chris Carson
K Harrison Butker
DEF Baltimore Ravens
Ridiculous Rascals
After starting out the Dog League with two consecutive losses to Tug of War in the championship, last year finally seemed like redemption for Rascal. He lifted the Regular Season title, and went into the playoffs as a huge favorite against the Rare Woofs. But Drew Brees struggled and Rascal fell apart, though he did at least win the 3rd place game against Bark Force. It's been a nervous road to the start of the season, as star running back Ezekiel Elliott held out for a new contract which he finally received earlier this morning. Rascal made two changes, dropping the suspended Chris Herndon for Jordan Reed and picking up the Lions defense for the Jaguars, who will start as they face rookie QB Kyler Murray to open the season.
Week 1 Starting Lineup(vs Rare Woofs)
QB Aaron Rodgers
RB Ezekiel Elliott
RB James Conner
WR Julio Jones
WR Adam Thielen
TE Hunter Henry
RB Leonard Fournette
K Ka'imi Fairbairn
DEF Detroit Lions
Tug of War
Tug of War became the hated giant pretty quickly, winning the first two Dog League titles and dominating the league at every step. But last year was a rocky one, that saw them miss out on the playoffs before taking down Leaping Girl to win the 5th place game and the number one pick. This season hasn't started out any better, as starting QB Andrew Luck unexpectedly retired in the preseason. This forced Philip Rivers into the starting lineup, while Jacoby Brissett takes a spot on the bench. With a solid roster overall, Tug of War makes no changes this week.
Week 1 Starting Lineup(vs Tailwaggerz)
QB Philip Rivers
RB Joe Mixon
RB Saquon Barkley
WR Keenan Allen
WR Michael Thomas
TE Zach Ertz
RB Damien Williams
K Greg Zuerlein
