WWE Royal Rumble 2016(!) Recap

Last month at TLC, the 'E finally succeeded on the goal of getting Roman over, with his post-match attack on The Game. A night later, he won the WWE title from Sheamus, earning an ovation from a Philly crowd that booed him out of the building 11 months prior. The WWE was cool again, and Roman was finally over with the fans. What went wrong? In the month since then, the WWE has failed to maintain the momentum, delivering horrendous television that hasn't been saved by the addition of Mauro Ranallo to the Smackdown commentary team. Last night, though, things began to change.....once again. This was one of the best shows I've ever seen, and it was an absolute privilege to watch it live, which I haven't done in a while. It was at once an exhilarating and thrilling ride, and I don't say that just because my main man is back on the top of the world. Yes, in my top ten favorite wrestlers, I didn't include Triple H, but he has always been one of my favorites. I know

WWE 2k16 Universe Mode Week 2: NXT

NXT only features three matches on their second week, but they're three good ones. First, AJ Styles and Baron Corbin meet in a rematch of their great bout from last week, then Bayley defends the NXT Women's Title against Emma. In the main event, a twenty-man battle royal takes place, with the winner being named number-one contender to Finn Balor's NXT Championship! The battle royal also features the WWE debut of Ricochet, and a lot of different guys get their first match of the Universe. Anyone can win, with only Tyler Breeze, Styles and Corbin as the only non-participants. (I decided I didn't want a champion vs champion match possibility, but Enzo and Cass are both in. That's fine, as they're tag team champions, though). Universe Mode Week 2 NXT Location: Houston, TX AJ Styles vs Baron Corbin Bayley(c) vs Emma- NXT Women's Title Match Twenty Man Battle Royal to name the number one contender to Finn Balor's NXT Championship: Sami Zayn

(Note: Every match up until this point was CPU-CPU. I'm now going to be playing most of the matches, to give them a little more story). Universe Mode Week 2 Monday Night Raw Location: Washington, D.C. WWE 2k16 Universe Mode Week 1: Smackdown

We continue with the first week of universe mode with the third show, the blue brand, Smackdown. Smackdown will determine the final of the initial champions, signaling the start of the true universe mode portions, without the rash of championship matches. Universe Mode Week 1 Smackdown Location: Montreal, Canada Prime Time Players vs The New Day vs The Hardy Boyz- WWE Tag Team Title Match Nikki Bella w/Brie Bella vs AJ Lee w/Kaitlyn - Divas Title Match Dean Ambrose vs Booker T - US Title Match Shinsuke Nakamura vs Austin Aries Randy Orton vs The Rock vs Daniel Bryan vs Dolph Ziggler vs Kevin Owens vs Rey Mysterio- WWE Title Match, Hell in a Cell Summary: The WWE took an abrupt detour to Montreal, Canada for the first episode of Smackdown. Instead, I just used a six-man battle royal and ignored all the in-fighting). T

Henry's Top Ten Wrestlers Of All Time

A few months ago, I posted my list of my favorite wrestlers since I began watching professional wrestling in 2010. Today, I expand my horizons to bring you my list of the top ten greatest wrestlers of all time. Although there is some personal bias, this should be a list that most people agree with, although they might order it differently. Understand that I'm taking into account a sh** load of wrestlers here, so a good majority of people will disagree with me. Though like I said, this list should hit the majority. Here it is: 10. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper We kick things off with a throwback, Hot Rod himself, Roddy Piper. Piper was and forever will be one of the greatest promos in the biz, possessing a true talent for connecting with an audience. The only reason Piper wasn't higher on this list was because he never reached the heights the some others on this have, whether that was on Piper himself or the creative team. Despite that, Roddy Piper is a legend of the sport, a

Up first, a triple threat for the Light Heavyweight Title. The match predictably stole the show, with all three competitors hungry for the title. Hideo would hit a GTS on Breeze, but Prince Pretty shockingly kicked out. Several more near falls occured, before Tyler Breeze hit a Supermodel Kick on Itami and a Beauty Shot on Zayn for the pin and the title. Up next, the NXT Tag Titles were to be decided, featuring the Vaudevillains and Enzo and Big Cass. The &

WWE 2k16 Universe Mode Week 1: RAW

Welcome to the first week of the WWE 2k16 Universe Mode! I've spent a lot of time setting this up, so it should go pretty well. WWE 2k16 Universe Mode: Intro

Later than expected, the WWE 2k16 Universe Mode is set to finally debut. Happy New Year, by the way. Sorry I haven't been that active, but I wanted to end the year on a positive note, and my first NXT Takeover recap was especially positive. Below is the outline for my universe mode, which will begin shortly. Structure The structure of this series is quite a bit different since I first discussed it, so this is pretty important. There will be three shows per in game week, RAW, Smackdown and NXT. Each show will have five matches, 4 shows per month with one pay per view. Once we get further into the series, I'll introduce more shows, brand-specific ppvs, NXT Takeovers and the like, but I want to make sure the series is going over well before then. Shows RAW Titles- World Heavyweight, Intercontinental, World Tag Team, Women's(shared with Smackdown) Airs On- Monday Smackdown Titles- WWE Championship, United States, WWE Tag Team, Women's(shared with RAW) Airs On
