WWE 2k16 Universe Mode Week 2: Raw

We begin the second week of universe mode with Monday Night Raw. This episode of Raw features The Undertaker in action, Ryback looking to get back on track against the debuting Jay Lethal, Lita and Trish Stratus teaming up, a massive six-man tag featuring the Wyatt Family, and another chapter in the Seth Rollins-Roman Reigns rivalry. (Note: Every match up until this point was CPU-CPU. I'm now going to be playing most of the matches, to give them a little more story).

Summary:
Week 2 of universe mode kicked off with Raw, live from our nation's capital, Washington D.C. We opened the show with one half of the World Tag Team Champions in action, taking on the returning Bubba Ray Dudley. 'Taker held the advantage early on, hitting a chokeslam, but was unable to put away Bubba. A distraction from D-Von led to a Bubba comback, eventually hitting a Bubba Bomb, but the Demon of Death Valley got the shoulder up at 2. The Undertaker recovered and hit a Last Ride for the victory. Up next, Ryback attempted to earn another shot at John Cena's IC title facing the debuting Jay Lethal. The match was a back and forth contest, with Lethal giving the Big Guy everything he could handle. A Meat Hook appeared to turn the tide in Ryback's favor, but Lethal countered the Shell Shocked. Lethal hit the Elbow Drop, but this only infuriated Ryback. He made a big comeback, hitting another Meat Hook and a successful Shell Shocked for the victory. An intriguing match-up was next, with rival Trish Stratus and Lita being forced to team up. Lita and Trish seemed to put their differences aside, as they easily dominated Alicia and Tamina. However, Trish became upset at her lack of involvement, leaving Lita alone. Despite that, Lita hit a Lita-sault and picked up the victory by herself, sending a big message to the Women's champion.

The first of out two big main events featured a six-man tag with an all-star cast. The match began with a confrontation between Lesnar and Wyatt, but quickly devolved into chaos, with all six men brawling outside of the ring. Eventually, peace was restored, in time for a Sister Abigail from Wyatt onto Lesnar, which was broken up by Shawn Michaels, causing another brawl. Several near falls followed, with many sure pinfalls being broken up. In the end, Harper lept over an on-rushing Michaels, an incredible move, before hitting him with his own Sweet Chin Music for a big victory for the Wyatts. The main event of the show was another collision between Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, set to be a great match. Both men took great advantage of the falls count anywhere stipulation, as they brawled outside. There were plenty of chair shots to go around, a sledgehammer go involved, and Reigns hit a Superman Punch. This all lead up to Reigns, unhappy with his inability to get a fall, slamming Rollins through the announce table. Amazingly, Rollins kicked out at 2 once again. Reigns got too involved in an attempt to hurt Rollins as much as possible, getting caught with a Pedigree from Rollins on the concrete floor. This was enough to win Rollins the match, making him a good shout for number one contendership to Bray Wyatt's World Heavyweight Title.

A great night ended with a devastating Pedigree from Seth Rollins. Two amazing matches closed an otherwise lackluster show, so I'm hoping Raw can improve in quality next week. Other than that, I hope you enjoyed. See you on NXT.

Henry's Universe Mode #231: WrestleMania II (Part 3)

Finn Balor vs The Undertaker Finn Balor felt the full force of the strikes of The Undertaker in the early going, eating rights and lefts to the skull. The Undertaker continued to lay into Balor, dumping him to the floor with a clothesline, then following up with his vintage suicide dive! After a brief skirmish on the outside, the Deadman got destructive, grabbing the Demon's throat and driving him through the announce table with a chokeslam! It was here that The Undertaker allowed Finn Balor a chance to just give up and concede defeat, but Balor wasn't having any of it. Finn got his second wind, countering an attempted chokeslam to connect with a reverse DDT, then the shotgun dropkick in the corner. Up top, Finn connected with Coup de Grace! 1........................2.......................but it's going to take a lot more to put The Undertaker away, especially at WrestleMania. Balor laid in some shots, busting The Undertaker open, but that proved to be a huge mistake. ...

American Dad "Stompe Le Monde" Review

You know, I once tried to make it in musical theater. If only I had watched this episode beforehand, I would've known I needed a leather jacket to truly make it. Alas, those dreams are for a more pretentious soul than mine. "Stompe Le Monde" is a wild episode of American Dad, one that starts with Stan's previously unknown uncle dying and ends with wanton destruction of many Sonic Drive-Ins. It's a crazy a journey as it sounds, one that left me just struggling to keep up. The family to use the new inheritance to travel to New York City, but Stan quickly blows the money on the rights to Stomp, which is apparently a real musical. The whole town of Langley is very excited to see the new show, but Stan has no idea what he's doing, never once hiring a director or even rehearsing. Why this only came up literally minutes before opening is anyone's guess. The Smith Family is forced to go on the run, and are attacked by many ferocious coyotes off-screen. In ye...

American Dad "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" Review

American Dad as a show is definitely not afraid to get a little freaky, and nothing is more evident than the existence of Rogu, Roger's tumor that became a character himself in "Persona Assistant". Rogu primarily works as a character because he stays in the background, but this week, he takes a starring role in one of the weirdest American Dad episodes to date. "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" has little in the way of traditional plot structure, and can only barely be considered an episode at all. It's more a collection of funny and bizarre skits, with a few running plot points that end up forming some sort of resolution. Steve wants to become a babysitter, but Francine says he's not ready, so he needs to prove himself to her. He does that by taking care of Rogu, as Roger is off for a night of NSFW activities. Steve is instructed not to let Rogu have candy or screentime, but violates both rules almost immediately. It turns out that Rogu multiplies w...
