WWE 2k16 Universe Mode Week 2: NXT

NXT only features three matches on their second week, but they're three good ones. First, AJ Styles and Baron Corbin meet in a rematch of their great bout from last week, then Bayley defends the NXT Women's Title against Emma. In the main event, a twenty-man battle royal takes place, with the winner being named number-one contender to Finn Balor's NXT Championship! The battle royal also features the WWE debut of Ricochet, and a lot of different guys get their first match of the Universe. Anyone can win, with only Tyler Breeze, Styles and Corbin as the only non-participants. (I decided I didn't want a champion vs champion match possibility, but Enzo and Cass are both in. That's fine, as they're tag team champions, though).

Bayley(c) vs Emma- NXT Women's Title Match

Twenty Man Battle Royal to name the number one contender to Finn Balor's NXT Championship:
Sami Zayn

Summary:
This momentous episode of NXT, live on the WWE Network, took place in the Lone Star State, as Houston played host to big battle royal. The show opened with a rematch from last week, as Corbin demanded another shot at the "Phenomenal One" AJ Styles. The match was just as good as their first encounter, a back and forth contest that brought the NXT fans to their feet. Corbin played mind games with Styles, ducking in and out of the ring, delivering punishment whenever Styles made a mistake. However, Styles slammed Corbin's head into the steel post, knocking out the Lone Wolf lone enough to hit the Styles Clash, which Corbin kicked out of at 2. Corbin quickly turned it around, hitting an End of Days to tie them at 1 victory apiece.

The co-main event featured the first title defense of the series, with Bayley and Emma going head to head. Neither woman was willing to give ground, so the first ten minutes of the match were a complete stalemate. Each got in some offense, Emma using her strength, Bayley using her athleticism and surprising grasp of submissions. Several near falls followed, including Emma kicking out of the Bayley to Belly. Bayley dominated from that point on, hitting an Exploder Suplex for a two count, before a second Bayley to Belly earned her her first title defense. That brought us to the main event, the battle royal for number one contendership. The match was much too chaotic to record, but I'll put in some brief highlights, which included: an excellent solo run by Simon Gotch, the Mechanics potentially turning on each other, a horrible debut by Ricochet, who was tossed out after about two minutes in the ring and the feud between Enzo and Cass and the Vaudevillains continuing to build. The final four consisted of: Neville, Sami Zayn, Vikto(who eliminated Ricochet) and the newest NXT member Curtis Axel. Neville then eliminated Axel, Viktor eliminated Neville, and it came down to Sami Zayn vs Viktor, with the winner becoming the number one contender. Neville distracted Viktor on his way out, upset with his elimination, and Zayn jumped him, tossing him over the top rope to become the number one contender. The show ended with a staredown between Balor and Zayn.

So there you have it. Sami Zayn will challenge Finn Balor for the NXT championship in two weeks on NXT, as the yellow brand will not be apart of Extreme Rules at the end of the month. This will be the same for every monthly pay per view, as NXT will be separate from the other two brands. Hope you enjoyed this episode of NXT, stay tuned for Smackdown!

Henry's Universe Mode #231: WrestleMania II (Part 3)

Finn Balor vs The Undertaker Finn Balor felt the full force of the strikes of The Undertaker in the early going, eating rights and lefts to the skull. The Undertaker continued to lay into Balor, dumping him to the floor with a clothesline, then following up with his vintage suicide dive! After a brief skirmish on the outside, the Deadman got destructive, grabbing the Demon's throat and driving him through the announce table with a chokeslam! It was here that The Undertaker allowed Finn Balor a chance to just give up and concede defeat, but Balor wasn't having any of it. Finn got his second wind, countering an attempted chokeslam to connect with a reverse DDT, then the shotgun dropkick in the corner. Up top, Finn connected with Coup de Grace! 1........................2.......................but it's going to take a lot more to put The Undertaker away, especially at WrestleMania. Balor laid in some shots, busting The Undertaker open, but that proved to be a huge mistake. ...

American Dad "Stompe Le Monde" Review

You know, I once tried to make it in musical theater. If only I had watched this episode beforehand, I would've known I needed a leather jacket to truly make it. Alas, those dreams are for a more pretentious soul than mine. "Stompe Le Monde" is a wild episode of American Dad, one that starts with Stan's previously unknown uncle dying and ends with wanton destruction of many Sonic Drive-Ins. It's a crazy a journey as it sounds, one that left me just struggling to keep up. The family to use the new inheritance to travel to New York City, but Stan quickly blows the money on the rights to Stomp, which is apparently a real musical. The whole town of Langley is very excited to see the new show, but Stan has no idea what he's doing, never once hiring a director or even rehearsing. Why this only came up literally minutes before opening is anyone's guess. The Smith Family is forced to go on the run, and are attacked by many ferocious coyotes off-screen. In ye...

American Dad "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" Review

American Dad as a show is definitely not afraid to get a little freaky, and nothing is more evident than the existence of Rogu, Roger's tumor that became a character himself in "Persona Assistant". Rogu primarily works as a character because he stays in the background, but this week, he takes a starring role in one of the weirdest American Dad episodes to date. "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" has little in the way of traditional plot structure, and can only barely be considered an episode at all. It's more a collection of funny and bizarre skits, with a few running plot points that end up forming some sort of resolution. Steve wants to become a babysitter, but Francine says he's not ready, so he needs to prove himself to her. He does that by taking care of Rogu, as Roger is off for a night of NSFW activities. Steve is instructed not to let Rogu have candy or screentime, but violates both rules almost immediately. It turns out that Rogu multiplies w...
