Henry's Universe Mode #79: NXT

First up, apologies for the break between posts. In order to make sure you are all filled in on my plans, here's the schedule for the remainder of Season 1: NXT(October 19th and 26th), Raw Season 1 Finale(Oct 24th) and the NXT Season Finale Takeover: London(Oct 30th).

Tonight on NXT, the New Day look to earn another championship shot when they take on the Dirty Heels, Bobby Roode and Austin Aries. The Breaker of Bones, Pentagon Dark will look to contribute another sacrifice to his master. In the main event, it's a massive encounter between Daniel Bryan and Samoa Joe, with the winner earning a NXT Championship Match at Takeover: London.

The New Day vs The Dirty Heels

William Regal promised the winner of this match a NXT Tag Team Title shot at Takeover: London, and both teams looked to impress. It was Big E and Xavier Woods representing the New Day in this match, and they controlled the pace early. Big E's power was something that Roode and Aries simply couldn't handle, but they got their opening when Xavier demanded to be tagged in. Roode capitalized, driving Xavier into the mat with an awesome Spinebuster to pick up the win, and earn a shot at Gallows and Anderson at Takeover: London.

Winners: The Dirty Heels

Pentagon Dark vs Bo Dallas

The Inspirational One looked ready to earn his keep on NXT, but then ran right into the buzzsaw known as Pentagon Dark. Pentagon destroyed Bo, who looked very unhappy to have ever gotten into this situation. It was only going to get worse, as Pentagon once more provided The Sacrifice to his master, snapping Bo's arm and forcing the official to step in and call off the match.

Winner: Pentagon Dark

Daniel Bryan vs Samoa Joe- NXT Championship #1 Contender's Match

A very peeved Samoa Joe had Daniel Bryan in his crosshairs, and the Samoan Submission Machine had no care for the opportunity on the line in this match. Bryan used his speed and technical expertise to hang in it, but Joe's power and pure physical presence quickly took over. They brawled to the outside, Joe determined to send a message to the NXT Champion Bad News Barrett, smashing Bryan off everything in sight. In an impressive show of strength, he lifted Bryan right off his feet and smashed his through a ringside barricade. Whilst this was going on, however, the official was counting both men out, and with neither man able to re-enter the ring, the match finished in a very disappointing double count-out.

After the match, NXT GM William Regal made his way to the ring. He was unwilling to accept this result, as he still needs a main event for Takeover: London. Regal declared that he has full confidence that his champion, Bad News Barrett, can defeat all challengers. And that's exactly what he's going to do, because at Takeover: London, it will be Barrett, Samoa Joe and Daniel Bryan in a triple threat match for the NXT Championship! Barrett, who was not in the building, must be floored by this announcement, which puts his newly-won title in the most jeopardy possible.

Draw

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
