Henry's Universe Mode #125: Main Event

A brief update for Fastlane's main event: in an effort to promote unity among the participants, it has been announced that the match will now be an elimination tag team match.

As a very special treat, on this episode of Main Event, we are greeted by the Face That Runs the Place, as John Cena faces Apollo Crews in our main event. Plus, TJ Perkins and Neville meet in a tag team match.

Roman Reigns Promo

The hometown boy Roman Reigns opened this episode of Main Event by calling out Kevin Owens. Owens has gotten the jump on Reigns several times over the past few weeks, and the Big Dog was tired of it. Owens answered the challenge, but remained outside the ring. He told Roman point-blank that he will never be on KO's level, and doesn't deserve a spot on the "Kevin Owens Show". Reigns laid down a challenge for a match next week on Raw, but Owens simply laughed and walked away.

Brian Kendrick vs Cedric Alexander vs Noam Dar vs Drew Gulak

All four of these cruiserweights were searching for a big win, but only one man could earn it. The Scottish Supernova Noam Dar took control of the match off the start, using his vicious offense to keep everyone at bay. He even locked in the kneebar on Brian Kendrick, but Drew Gulak broke the hold. Gulak and Cedric Alexander then went toe-to-toe, with Alexander emerging with the upper hand. He was caught with a big European uppercut from Dar, and the young Scotsman got a big win.

Winner: Noam Dar

Neville and Will Ospreay vs TJ Perkins and Kota Ibushi

This union between Neville and Will Ospreay would face its first big test, in the Cruiserweight Champion and the Golden Star. Although Perkins and Ibushi had faced each other in the past, they worked well as teammates. Neville and Ospreay were in serious jeopardy of losing the match, and were forced to come up with a new plan. They worked over Ibushi, keeping Perkins from tagging in, to great success. Kota simply had nothing left, eventually succumbing to a 630 senton from the Aerial Assassin.

Winners: Neville and Will Ospreay

Apollo Crews vs John Cena

It was now time for our main event, an exhibition of incredible power and unbelievable strength. This was not an all-out brawl, but rather a measured technical bout, as both men felt the other out. Early on, it was the self-proclaimed "Elite Athlete" Apollo Crews who took control, as he showcased his incredible arsenal of moves. John Cena fired back with aggression, taking Crews down to the mat for big strikes, including a Five-Knuckle Shuffle. Cena looked for an Attitude Adjustment, but Crews countered with a big elbow and struck with a Spin-Out Powerbomb. Cena got the shoulder up just in time, surprising Apollo. Back on their feet, the two men engaged in a war of fists, before Cena connected with a big Attitude Adjustment to pick up the win.

Winner: John Cena

Henry's Universe Mode #231: WrestleMania II (Part 3)

Finn Balor vs The Undertaker Finn Balor felt the full force of the strikes of The Undertaker in the early going, eating rights and lefts to the skull. The Undertaker continued to lay into Balor, dumping him to the floor with a clothesline, then following up with his vintage suicide dive! After a brief skirmish on the outside, the Deadman got destructive, grabbing the Demon's throat and driving him through the announce table with a chokeslam! It was here that The Undertaker allowed Finn Balor a chance to just give up and concede defeat, but Balor wasn't having any of it. Finn got his second wind, countering an attempted chokeslam to connect with a reverse DDT, then the shotgun dropkick in the corner. Up top, Finn connected with Coup de Grace! 1........................2.......................but it's going to take a lot more to put The Undertaker away, especially at WrestleMania. Balor laid in some shots, busting The Undertaker open, but that proved to be a huge mistake. ...

American Dad "Stompe Le Monde" Review

You know, I once tried to make it in musical theater. If only I had watched this episode beforehand, I would've known I needed a leather jacket to truly make it. Alas, those dreams are for a more pretentious soul than mine. "Stompe Le Monde" is a wild episode of American Dad, one that starts with Stan's previously unknown uncle dying and ends with wanton destruction of many Sonic Drive-Ins. It's a crazy a journey as it sounds, one that left me just struggling to keep up. The family to use the new inheritance to travel to New York City, but Stan quickly blows the money on the rights to Stomp, which is apparently a real musical. The whole town of Langley is very excited to see the new show, but Stan has no idea what he's doing, never once hiring a director or even rehearsing. Why this only came up literally minutes before opening is anyone's guess. The Smith Family is forced to go on the run, and are attacked by many ferocious coyotes off-screen. In ye...

American Dad "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" Review

American Dad as a show is definitely not afraid to get a little freaky, and nothing is more evident than the existence of Rogu, Roger's tumor that became a character himself in "Persona Assistant". Rogu primarily works as a character because he stays in the background, but this week, he takes a starring role in one of the weirdest American Dad episodes to date. "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" has little in the way of traditional plot structure, and can only barely be considered an episode at all. It's more a collection of funny and bizarre skits, with a few running plot points that end up forming some sort of resolution. Steve wants to become a babysitter, but Francine says he's not ready, so he needs to prove himself to her. He does that by taking care of Rogu, as Roger is off for a night of NSFW activities. Steve is instructed not to let Rogu have candy or screentime, but violates both rules almost immediately. It turns out that Rogu multiplies w...
