Universe Mode
Fastlane
March 5th, 2017
Location: Denver, CO

Tyler Breeze vs Fandango

The King of Cuteville and the Lord of Dance opened Fastlane with a big grudge match, as the former tag team partners went at it. Fandango wasted little time attacking Tyler Breeze, who seemed taken aback. It was Fandango who was in complete control for a good portion of the match, out-wrestling Breeze. The Ballroom Brawler looked several times for the Last Dance leg drop, but the former WWE Champion had it scouted. What he didn't see coming was a vicious DDT on the apron, as Fandango pulled out all the stops. Although the move did a lot of damage, it failed to put Breeze away, and Prince Pretty rallied for a Beauty Shot and the win.

Winner: Tyler Breeze

Itami and Balor(c) vs #DIY- World Tag Team Title Match

This was scheduled to be a big title match, but as the challengers were making their way to the ring, they were ambushed by the sinister Wyatt Family. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan beat the tar out of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, while Bray Wyatt looked on. Officials swarmed the area, trying to get the situation under control, and any scheduled match was out the window.

Baron Corbin(c) vs Randy Orton- Intercontinental Title Match

The Lone Wolf is a dominant foe, but came into this match not at 100 percent, after being choked out on the last episode of SmackDown. It soon became clear that Baron Corbin was hurt, and The Viper capitalized. Orton picked the champion apart with slow, deliberate offense, not taking any chances. Corbin did his best to fight back, connecting with a Deep Six and looking for an End of Days. However, Braun Strowman got involved, distracting Corbin and allowing Orton to recover and connect with a RKO to win the Intercontinental Title for the first time.

After the match, the Apex Predator wasn't finished. He sent a vicious message to the rest of SmackDown with a vicious punt kick, that may have set the Lone Wolf on the shelf.

Winner and the NEW Intercontinental Champion: Randy Orton

Mark Henry vs Brock Lesnar

This had all the making of a good old-fashioned fight, with two of the meanest, nastiest most powerful members of the Raw roster going head-to-head. It certainly didn't disappoint, as Brock Lesnar and Mark Henry tore the house down in Denver. The leader of the Hall of Pain made his target clear early on, as he went after the ribs and midsection of Lesnar time and time again. Brock, for his part, went after the skull of Henry, opening the big man up with rights and lefts. A little thing like blood wasn't about to slow Mark Henry down, as he connected on a World's Strongest Slam. Lesnar powered out at two, but walked straight into another, and somehow kicked out again. The World's Strongest Man was shocked at Lesnar's resilience, and was taken to Suplex City. Henry targeted the ribs to escape a F-5 attempt, and connected on a third World's Strongest Slam. For a third time, Brock Lesnar kicked out. The Beast Incarnate just had something about him on this night, and finally connected on a F-5 to put Mark Henry away.

Winner: Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar may well be superhuman, which is not good news for the rest of the Raw roster. Tune in tomorrow for Part 2, where the main event of WrestleMania will be decided.

American Dad "Twinanigans" Review

It's been a while since the last Steve and Roger episode, and this week reminded me why that's such a classic American Dad pairing. This is a genuinely fun episode, filled with some great one liners and even a great callback to the show's past. "Twinanigans" centers around the heretofore unmentioned acting careers of Roger and Steve, who twinned it up as the Smith Brothers. I'm not going to question whether this backstory actually makes sense to the overall timeline; no one watches American Dad for continuity. Steve had to give up acting to attend kindergarten, and wants to give Roger a second chance at greatness. The two head to auditions, where Steve impresses and Roger blows it. It's here the episode kinda misfires, as it's never made abundantly clear why Roger struggles so much at acting. Is he just trying too hard, does he have some form of stage fright, does he not even know what acting is? This part of the story is just never explained, w...

Henry's Pay-Per-View Reviews: ECW Heatwave 1998

As the world collectively loses it's mind over the coronavirus(this could be a fun intro to look back on in the future), the only sanity that can be found is in the ring. Let's take a look today at what is often considered ECW's finest outing, Heatwave '98. - Jokes aside, everyone should stay safe out there. I know it's easy to panic about these mass outbreaks, and I've certainly felt very nervous about everything I've heard and read over the past week. But I think we all need some fun in our lives right now, and this show is the epitome of distraction. - The opening contest is one of the highlights of the night, as Jerry Lynn takes on Justin Credible. Credible has an entire entourage in his corner, including Chastity, Jason and Nicole Bass, and their involvement in this match at times bordered on excessive. But the match begins to hit it's peak when Lynn puts Credible through a table with a hurricanrana, and it's all fantastic from...

Curious Crab

One Monday night my mom looked into my crabitat and found that a crab had climbed into one of my fake trees. It was in the top branch. I looked in later, and found that the crab had fallen out of the tree. I hope he is okay. What a day!
