Henry's Universe Mode #180: Raw

Last week, Finn Balor challenged Samoa Joe to meet him in the ring, six days before their championship collision at Bad Blood. Will the champion accept? Plus, the Golden Truth prepare for their championship match, while Paige and Becky Lynch face off in tag team action and United States Champion Chris Jericho returns to Raw.

Golden Truth vs New Day

After winning the battle royal last week to become number one contenders, Goldust and R-Truth were out to prove it wasn't a fluke as they battled the New Day. Despite an unimpressive record during their time on Raw, the Golden Truth looked quite good on this night, as they took it to Big E and Kofi Kingston. For the second week in a row, Goldust took out Kofi, this time with a Final Cut, to keep the momentum going for the Golden Truth.

Winners: Golden Truth

The Champ is Here

We then cut backstage, where Samoa Joe was making his way into the building. The Universal Champion has arrived, but will he meet Finn Balor in the ring later tonight?

Chris Jericho vs Jinder Mahal

Chris Jericho was a returning hero in Philadelphia, getting a raucous reception on his return to Raw. However, Y2J was in for the fight of his life, as he took on Jinder Mahal, who had the support of Rusev at ringside. Throughout this match, the Bulgarian Brute's presence would play a huge role, even saving Mahal after a Codebreaker from Jericho. Just six days before their championship match, Rusev and Jericho would go face to face, as the US Champ pushed the issue. This would backfire, however, as Jinder took advantage of the distraction to connect with the Khallas to pick up a huge win.

Winner: Jinder Mahal

Rematch Scheduled for Bad Blood

After going back and forth over the past month, this Sunday we will see #DIY meet the Lucha Dragons once more in tag team action.

Paige and Sasha Banks vs Becky Lynch and Mickie James

The stipulation of this match was that the leader of the winning team, either Paige or Becky Lynch, would pick the stipulation of their championship match at Bad Blood. The Anti-Diva tagged up with Sasha Banks for this match, while Becky Lynch teamed with the returning Mickie James. Throughout this match, it seemed like Paige forgot this was a tag team match, as she stayed in the ring for a very long time. Finally, a frustrated Sasha Banks just left the match, deciding to find a better use of her time. With a two on one advantage, Mickie and Becky took out Paige, with Becky picking up the win to choose the stipulation for herself.

Afterward, Becky took to the mic. She called Sasha a coward for walking out on the match, and mocked Paige for letting her ego cause her downfall. She then picked the stipulation for their match: a twenty minute Iron Woman match, to finally end their feud.

Winner: Becky Lynch and Mickie James

The Answer

It took very little time to receive Samoa Joe's answer to Finn Balor's challenge, as Joe jumped Balor on the stage and the fight was on. It would be the champion that delivered a hell of a statement, beating on Finn with a kendo stick before rolling him into the ring. From there, he locked in the Coquina Clutch, and very quickly, Balor was out cold. Officials finally managed to pull the Universal Champion away, but the damage had been done.

Bad Blood 2017 Card:

Samoa Joe(c) vs Finn Balor- Universal Championship Match
Seth Rollins' Open Challenge
Paige(c) vs Becky Lynch- Iron Woman Match for the Raw Women's Championship
Chris Jericho(c) vs Rusev- United States Championship Match
#DIY vs Lucha Dragons
The Hardy Boyz(c) vs Golden Truth- Raw Tag Team Championship Match

Latest Update on new puppy

As you may well know from my mom's posts, there is a handsome puppy in the house. His name is Rascal, which appropriately fits him. Before Tuesday, he'd never had much problem with the crate, something I found interesting. He'd also never experienced anxiety issues when people came and left. Then yesterday, my dad and I were standing in the driveway organizing things for a trip to Goodwill. All of a sudden, Rascal freaked out. Some history behind the newest member of our family. Rascal was a stray in Hollister, when CARE, a rescue organization, found him. At this time Rascal was estimated to be about 2 months old, the age of a puppy when you first get them. He went to another family, who had him for quite a while, around 5 months. Then, without explanation, this family moved to Ohio, surrendering Rascal. CARE once again had him and his crazy antics for about a month. Rascal's name was changed to Boots in his time with CARE, but he wouldn't answer to that name. He ...

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
