Henry's Universe Mode #187: SmackDown Live

After weeks of the Fashion Police searching for answers, it appears SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan has beaten them to the punch. Bryan has procured the security footage from Money in the Bank, and plans to show and reveal the culprit this Sunday at Battleground.

Tonight, with a massive winner take all match looming, the Wyatt Family and The Club go to war, with three singles matches between the two factions. Plus, Bayley and Alexa Bliss team up, Randy Orton prepares for his next title defense, a Kenny Omega interview and more!

SmackDown Live
July 18th, 2017
Location: Baltimore, MD

Erick Rowan vs Luke Gallows

We opened up this war of factions with the two enforcers facing off, as Erick Rowan faced Luke Gallows. Although Rowan showed an impressive arsenal in this match, including a top rope sidewalk slam, Gallows had a little bit more, connecting with a Gallows Pole for the pinfall.

Winner: Luke Gallows

Randy Orton vs Heath Slater

Although Daniel Bryan issued a no contact clause between Randy Orton and Baron Corbin before Battleground, that didn't stop Corbin from taking a spot at ringside. The former Social Outcast Heath Slater took the fight to the Intercontinental Champion, with a surprising amount of fan support. He even nearly got the win with a Smash Hit, but it was all downhill from there. With his eyes locked on the Lone Wolf, Orton delivered a RKO for the win.

Winner: Randy Orton

Kenny Omega Interview

With a potential dream match with John Cena looming, Renee Young caught up with Kenny Omega earlier today for an interview. Omega stated that he has a lot of respect for Cena and what he's accomplished, but this is no longer his time. This is the moment of Kenny Omega, and the Cleaner is determined to take over the blue brand. When all is said and done, we will all look back on this Sunday as the beginning of a legend and the end of an icon.

Karl Anderson vs Luke Harper

We saw the power earlier in the night, and now we got a chance to see a bit more of a technical style in this match. For the most part, it was all Luke Harper, as the Backwoods Brawler used his power and unique wrestling acumen to control the match. The tides turned on a Karl Anderson eye rake, as the Machine Gun scored a near fall on a Rocket Kick. It wasn't enough, as he would fall victim to a discus clothesline, as Harper got one back for the Wyatts.

Winner: Luke Harper

Reigns-Cesaro Press Conference

At a press conference early Tuesday morning, Roman Reigns and Cesaro answered questions from the media as they prepared for their Loser Leaves SmackDown match at Battleground. For the most part, they kept a cordial manner throughout, as there was plenty of mutual respect. To end things off, both men promised to win this Sunday and become WWE Champion at Summerslam.

Bayley and Alexa Bliss vs Emma and Dana Brooke

With a title match looming pitting Bayley against Emma, both women were looking for key momentum in this tag team match. For the most part, we didn't see either of the two going against each other, much to the chagrin of Bayley. The avoidance of the champion and the need to keep herself fresh did cost Emma in the end, as Alexa took out Dana with a snap DDT.

Winners: Bayley and Alexa Bliss

Bray Wyatt vs AJ Styles

Both factions traded wins throughout this edition of SmackDown, setting up a huge main event rubber match. Unfortunately, Bray Wyatt just didn't seem able to handle the extraordinary talent of AJ Styles. The Phenomenal One dominated our main event, using his arsenal of moves to keep Wyatt off balance and punctuating everything with trash talk and posing. In the end, it proved to be a simple win for the WWE Champion, who delivered a Styles Clash for the three count. This victory has to raise a big question for this Sunday: if Bray can't handle Styles, then how on Earth do the Wyatt Family think they can walk out victorious?

Winner: AJ Styles

John Cena vs Kenny Omega
Randy Orton(c) vs Baron Corbin- No Holds Barred Match for the Intercontinental Championship

Henry's Universe Mode #231: WrestleMania II (Part 3)

Finn Balor vs The Undertaker Finn Balor felt the full force of the strikes of The Undertaker in the early going, eating rights and lefts to the skull. The Undertaker continued to lay into Balor, dumping him to the floor with a clothesline, then following up with his vintage suicide dive! After a brief skirmish on the outside, the Deadman got destructive, grabbing the Demon's throat and driving him through the announce table with a chokeslam! It was here that The Undertaker allowed Finn Balor a chance to just give up and concede defeat, but Balor wasn't having any of it. Finn got his second wind, countering an attempted chokeslam to connect with a reverse DDT, then the shotgun dropkick in the corner. Up top, Finn connected with Coup de Grace! 1........................2.......................but it's going to take a lot more to put The Undertaker away, especially at WrestleMania. Balor laid in some shots, busting The Undertaker open, but that proved to be a huge mistake. ...

American Dad "Stompe Le Monde" Review

You know, I once tried to make it in musical theater. If only I had watched this episode beforehand, I would've known I needed a leather jacket to truly make it. Alas, those dreams are for a more pretentious soul than mine. "Stompe Le Monde" is a wild episode of American Dad, one that starts with Stan's previously unknown uncle dying and ends with wanton destruction of many Sonic Drive-Ins. It's a crazy a journey as it sounds, one that left me just struggling to keep up. The family to use the new inheritance to travel to New York City, but Stan quickly blows the money on the rights to Stomp, which is apparently a real musical. The whole town of Langley is very excited to see the new show, but Stan has no idea what he's doing, never once hiring a director or even rehearsing. Why this only came up literally minutes before opening is anyone's guess. The Smith Family is forced to go on the run, and are attacked by many ferocious coyotes off-screen. In ye...

American Dad "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" Review

American Dad as a show is definitely not afraid to get a little freaky, and nothing is more evident than the existence of Rogu, Roger's tumor that became a character himself in "Persona Assistant". Rogu primarily works as a character because he stays in the background, but this week, he takes a starring role in one of the weirdest American Dad episodes to date. "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" has little in the way of traditional plot structure, and can only barely be considered an episode at all. It's more a collection of funny and bizarre skits, with a few running plot points that end up forming some sort of resolution. Steve wants to become a babysitter, but Francine says he's not ready, so he needs to prove himself to her. He does that by taking care of Rogu, as Roger is off for a night of NSFW activities. Steve is instructed not to let Rogu have candy or screentime, but violates both rules almost immediately. It turns out that Rogu multiplies w...
