Henry's Universe Mode #181: SmackDown Live

Since Money in the Bank, Tyler Breeze and Fandango have been hard at work trying to find out who attacked Fandango. Adopting roles as "Fashion Police", they've been interrogating suspects from all walks of life. Finally, a clue has emerged: a piece of fabric found at the crime scene, with suspicious leopard print and the letter "G". Breeze and Fandango have surmised that the culprits are Enzo and Big Cass, working together to help Cass have a better shot at winning the briefcase. Tonight, these four men will face off in tag team action. Plus, Baron Corbin begins his path to revenge, Bayley defends her championship, Cesaro prepares for Battleground and AJ Styles takes on John Cena.

Cesaro vs Bo Dallas

The Inspirational Bo Dallas, with a little help from Social Outcasts partner Curtis Axel, took the fight to Cesaro in our opening contest. With a big Loser Leaves SmackDown match with Roman Reigns at Battleground looming, the Swiss Superman was in top form, eventually submitting Dallas with the Sharpshooter.

Winner: Cesaro

The Champ is laid out again

Bayley, scheduled for a title defense against Emma later tonight, was not going to reach that match, as she was attacked once more by Nia Jax. The Female Destroyer laid Bayley out for the third time, as the Huggable One continues to have a rough run here on SmackDown Live.

Enzo and Big Cass vs The Fashion Police

The story throughout most of this match was whether, after everything they've been through, Tyler Breeze and Fandango could function well as a team. For the most part, they looked pretty solid. At some points, they even took the match to the established team of Enzo and Cass. Despite this, the Certified G's soon took back control, and began to look for the win. However, Breeze pulled Fandango out of the way of the Rocket Launcher, and the Ballroom Brawler rolled up Enzo for the win.

After the match, Enzo and Cass congratulated Breeze and Fandango on the win. However, they produced evidence that they were innocent, as they were talking to Daniel Bryan when Fandango was attacked. The case remains open, and now Officer Breeze and Deputy Dango will need a new suspect.

Winners: The Fashion Police

Baron Corbin vs Sami Zayn- #1 Contender's Match for the Intercontinental Championship

With such high stakes as an Intercontinental Championship match on the line, you would think this would be a highly competitive contest. It proved to be anything but, as a fired up Baron Corbin simply mauled the smaller Sami Zayn. The Lone Wolf was seeing red, with an opportunity for revenge against Randy Orton at Battleground at stake. He just picked Zayn apart, and finished him off with a devastating End of Days.

That wasn't enough for Corbin though, as he continued to attack Sami after the match. Intent on sending a message on intent, he then chokeslamed the Underdog from the Underground through the announce table.

Winner: Baron Corbin

John Cena vs AJ Styles

This match had all the makings of the proverbial big fight feel, as these two superstars went one on one. Each showed off their signature offense, and an electric crowd cheered almost everything. Most of the match centered on the danger of John Cena's power game, and his momentum style brawling, with Styles looking to avoid all of Cena's biggest moves. In the highlight of the match, Cena attempted a Styles Clash, only for the WWE Champion to reverse into an Attitude Adjustment for a near fall. Styles looked for a Phenomenal Forearm, but missed, and Cena began to fire up. The Phenomenal One was clearly on the ropes and he knew it, countering an attempt at the AA with a low blow for the disqualification.

Afterward, a defiant AJ picked up Cena and planted him with a Styles Clash amidst a sea of boos. With Cena's fiance Nikki Bella watching on, Styles wrapped a chair around Cena's head, attempting to badly injure his neck. It was at this point that the lights went out. When they came back on, Bray Wyatt was standing in the ring! He delivered a Sister Abigail to the WWE Champion, standing tall to close the show.

Winner: John Cena

If you've reached this point in the post, I'd like to wish you a happy July 4th! Make sure to stay safe, and enjoy the holiday. I'll see you again tomorrow for NXT.

Henry's Universe Mode #231: WrestleMania II (Part 3)

Finn Balor vs The Undertaker Finn Balor felt the full force of the strikes of The Undertaker in the early going, eating rights and lefts to the skull. The Undertaker continued to lay into Balor, dumping him to the floor with a clothesline, then following up with his vintage suicide dive! After a brief skirmish on the outside, the Deadman got destructive, grabbing the Demon's throat and driving him through the announce table with a chokeslam! It was here that The Undertaker allowed Finn Balor a chance to just give up and concede defeat, but Balor wasn't having any of it. Finn got his second wind, countering an attempted chokeslam to connect with a reverse DDT, then the shotgun dropkick in the corner. Up top, Finn connected with Coup de Grace! 1........................2.......................but it's going to take a lot more to put The Undertaker away, especially at WrestleMania. Balor laid in some shots, busting The Undertaker open, but that proved to be a huge mistake. ...

American Dad "Stompe Le Monde" Review

You know, I once tried to make it in musical theater. If only I had watched this episode beforehand, I would've known I needed a leather jacket to truly make it. Alas, those dreams are for a more pretentious soul than mine. "Stompe Le Monde" is a wild episode of American Dad, one that starts with Stan's previously unknown uncle dying and ends with wanton destruction of many Sonic Drive-Ins. It's a crazy a journey as it sounds, one that left me just struggling to keep up. The family to use the new inheritance to travel to New York City, but Stan quickly blows the money on the rights to Stomp, which is apparently a real musical. The whole town of Langley is very excited to see the new show, but Stan has no idea what he's doing, never once hiring a director or even rehearsing. Why this only came up literally minutes before opening is anyone's guess. The Smith Family is forced to go on the run, and are attacked by many ferocious coyotes off-screen. In ye...

American Dad "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" Review

American Dad as a show is definitely not afraid to get a little freaky, and nothing is more evident than the existence of Rogu, Roger's tumor that became a character himself in "Persona Assistant". Rogu primarily works as a character because he stays in the background, but this week, he takes a starring role in one of the weirdest American Dad episodes to date. "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" has little in the way of traditional plot structure, and can only barely be considered an episode at all. It's more a collection of funny and bizarre skits, with a few running plot points that end up forming some sort of resolution. Steve wants to become a babysitter, but Francine says he's not ready, so he needs to prove himself to her. He does that by taking care of Rogu, as Roger is off for a night of NSFW activities. Steve is instructed not to let Rogu have candy or screentime, but violates both rules almost immediately. It turns out that Rogu multiplies w...
