The Dog League: Week 3 Review(2017 Season)

Welcome back to the Dog League. Week 3 saw Tug of War assert their dominance, and Leaping Girl and Tailwaggerz battle it out for their first win. Let's get to it.

Leaping Girl

It's all gone wrong for Leaping Girl. Although the final score was a bit closer this week, the end result was still the same, with their third consecutive loss. The team is going in the wrong direction, with this week featuring their lowest score of the year. Only two players even made it into double digits(Drew Brees and Dalvin Cook), with the rest of the team in the decent but not outstanding category. What it will take to fix this roster is beyond me, and with David Johnson out long term, this season may well be a lost cause.

Week 3 Scoring(lost to Tailwaggerz 70.7-86.6)

QB Drew Brees(20.8 points)
RB LeSean McCoy(6.9 points)
RB Ty Montgomery(5 points)
WR Dez Bryant(7.2 points)
WR DeAndre Hopkins(7.6 points)
TE Jason Witten(0.3 points)
RB Dalvin Cook(22.9 points)
K Justin Tucker(1 point)
DEF Seattle Seahawks(-1 point)

Tailwaggerz

It was a massive sigh of relief this week for Tailwaggerz, who not only got their first win, but were saved from several near fatal errors. They managed to leave 124 points on their bench( Tom Brady, Doug Baldwin, Stefon Diggs, Jordan Howard, Michael Thomas) and still managed to get the win. Most of the credit goes to Kirk Cousins, who came into the starting line-up to help carry the team to a win. The contributions of Jordy Nelson can't be understated, as his two touchdowns turned the tide on Sunday.

Week 3 Scoring(won against Leaping Girl 86.6-70.7)

QB Kirk Cousins(26.8 points)
RB Le'Veon Bell(15.8 points)
RB C.J. Anderson(4.3 points)
WR Jordy Nelson(17.2 points)
WR Mike Evans(6.7 points)
TE Zach Ertz(9.5 points)
RB Lamar Miller(6.3 points)
K Stephen Gostkowski(4 points)
DEF Baltimore Ravens(-4 points)

Ridiculous Rascals

It was a tough week for the Ridiculous Rascals, who fell behind by over 50 points on Thursday and never recovered. They didn't exactly play poorly either, with five players in double digits. They were hurt in a big way by leaving 94 points on their bench(mostly due to the contributions of Odell Beckham, Brandin Cooks and Dak Prescott). Even if they had made more of the correct decisions on who to play, I still think they lose this game. They just never stood a chance against Tug of War.

Week 3 Scoring(lost to Tug of War 83.62-134.46)

QB Derek Carr(5.22 points)
RB Melvin Gordon(13.9 points)
RB Ezekiel Elliott(15.4 points)
WR Michael Crabtree(0.7 points)
WR Tyreek Hill(15 points)
TE Rob Gronkowski(14.9 points)
RB Jay Ajayi(2.5 points)
K Matt Bryant(12 points)
DEF Philadelphia Eagles(4 points)

Tug of War

What more is left to say about the kings of the Dog League. Another dominant win for Tug of War this week, who made it look easy against the Ridiculous Rascals. They even left a total of 82 points on their bench, and there was still no doubt as to the result of the game. Almost everyone contributed something, with Travis Kelce as the only notable disappointment. It's onwards and upwards for the defending champs.

Week 3 Scoring(won against Ridiculous Rascals 134.46-83.62)

QB Matt Ryan(13.66 points)
RB Todd Gurley(32.9 points)
RB Kareem Hunt(24.3 points)
WR Julio Jones(9.1 points)
WR Antonio Brown(17 points)
TE Travis Kelce(0.1 points)
RB Carlos Hyde(21.4 points)
K Dan Bailey(4 points)
DEF Kansas City Chiefs(12 points)

3 games down, 11 more to go. Join me tomorrow as I preview Week 4 of the Dog League.

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
