Henry's Universe Mode(Season 4) Episode 10: Backlash(Part 2)

In Part 2 of Backlash, factions collide as the New Day faces The Shield. Plus, two world title matches and Asuka challenging the dominant Nia Jax. And to open this part, Shane McMahon goes face to face with Braun Strowman!

Shane McMahon Promo

Shane once again thanked Braun for not trying to appear on Raw, and quickly we got what we were promised, as Strowman himself made his entrance. Braun was accompanied to the ring by an extremely large security detail, and looked as furious as anticipated. He said Shane knew full well that Braun couldn't attend Raw or shake his detail, because if he did either, he would be fired on the spot. Shane claimed ignorance, saying he had never threatened termination. Strowman wasn't finished though, saying there was one thing McMahon hadn't considered....................Braun Strowman doesn't give a damn! The crowd roared as Strowman demolished everything in his path, sending security guards flying in every direction. Running powerslam to Shane McMahon! Then another! Then a third! Braun Strowman has gotten his revenge, but at what price?

The New Day vs The Shield

The Shield have been fantastic in six man tags in the past, and they showed us why here. They were completely dominant, and the New Day only managed to survive for ten minutes thanks to the intelligence of Xavier Woods, who kept breaking up pins. But the turning point came when The Shield focused on the powerful Big E, eliminating him with a triple powerbomb. An already bleeding Kofi Kingston was put away with a Dirty Deeds from Dean Ambrose, leaving Woods on his own. The smallest man of the New Day was absolutely heroic, rallying to nearly eliminate Ambrose and surviving a Spear from Roman Reigns. In the end, Seth Rollins took things to new heights, pulling out an incredible deadlift falcon arrow, before finally eliminating Woods with a Blackout(Curb Stomp).

Winners: The Shield
Survivors: Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins

Nia Jax(c) vs Asuka- SmackDown Women's Championship Match

Asuka only had one thing in mind from the moment the bell rang, and that was applying the Asuka Lock. She focused all of her offense on Nia Jax's head, neck, arms and back using a multitude of strikes and even an occasional suplex. But Jax was too strong, too tough and resisted any attempt at the deadly hold. It looked like a routine title defense when Nia hit the samoan drop, but Asuka kicked out at two! Asuka hit every kick and forearm in her repertoire, and it was now or never. Asuka Lock applied! And..........................Nia Jax tapped! Just like that, Asuka ends the impressive title reign of Nia Jax, and finally wins a championship match after losses at Summerslam and WrestleMania.

Winner and the NEW SmackDown Women's Champion: Asuka

Aleister Black(c) vs Randy Orton- Universal Championship Match

We saw these two men meet as the final two of the Royal Rumble, and Randy Orton was certainly looking for revenge here. From the start, both men focused on the head, as their finisher does the most damage to that body part. Aleister Black looked good early, but made an early miscalculation as he whiffed on a double stomp that got Orton back into it. Orton was the first to go for his finisher, but the RKO was countered. Black threw caution to the wind, and this time went for a moonsault which connected, but only for a near fall. Black dropped Orton with a stiff knee, but the attempted Black Mass caught only air. Both men went for a clothesline, and both went down. RKO! No, countered again. Black Mass! Orton stepped out of the way. From deep in his arsenal, Black nailed Orton with a superkick! A dazed Viper stumbled right into the Black Mass from the Dutch Destroyer! 1...........2...............3!

Winner and still Universal Champion: Aleister Black

Post-Match

As the champion celebrated, the now former challenger snapped. Randy Orton hit Aleister Black with an RKO, then another off the top rope. As officials tried to gain control of the situation, Orton tore apart the Spanish announce table. He then fought through the horde to grab his fallen prey. RKO through the table! A deranged Orton was finally finished, and watched on as Black was given medical assistance.

Drew McIntyre(c) vs Samoa Joe- WWE Championship Match

Drew McIntyre has many tools of destruction, but Samoa Joe is by far the expert in terms of ring psychology and match experience. Joe out-wrestled McIntyre, dominating the champion on the ground and utilizing submission holds to wear the champion out. Everyone in the crowd and at home knew Joe was working towards the Coquina Clutch, and McIntyre knew it too. The Scottish Terminator could not out grapple the Samoan Submission Machine, so he turned the match into a slugfest. But Joe survived a volley of strikes, staying one step ahead and applying the Coquina Clutch! Quicker than anyone could have anticipated, McIntyre powered out! He must have spent the last few weeks training to face that hold. McIntyre got separation, then put every last bit of energy left into a devastating Claymore Kick! The three count followed, and the champion survived an absolute war to stand victorious to close Backlash.

Winner and still WWE Champion: Drew McIntyre

American Dad "Twinanigans" Review

It's been a while since the last Steve and Roger episode, and this week reminded me why that's such a classic American Dad pairing. This is a genuinely fun episode, filled with some great one liners and even a great callback to the show's past. "Twinanigans" centers around the heretofore unmentioned acting careers of Roger and Steve, who twinned it up as the Smith Brothers. I'm not going to question whether this backstory actually makes sense to the overall timeline; no one watches American Dad for continuity. Steve had to give up acting to attend kindergarten, and wants to give Roger a second chance at greatness. The two head to auditions, where Steve impresses and Roger blows it. It's here the episode kinda misfires, as it's never made abundantly clear why Roger struggles so much at acting. Is he just trying too hard, does he have some form of stage fright, does he not even know what acting is? This part of the story is just never explained, w...

Henry's Pay-Per-View Reviews: ECW Heatwave 1998

As the world collectively loses it's mind over the coronavirus(this could be a fun intro to look back on in the future), the only sanity that can be found is in the ring. Let's take a look today at what is often considered ECW's finest outing, Heatwave '98. - Jokes aside, everyone should stay safe out there. I know it's easy to panic about these mass outbreaks, and I've certainly felt very nervous about everything I've heard and read over the past week. But I think we all need some fun in our lives right now, and this show is the epitome of distraction. - The opening contest is one of the highlights of the night, as Jerry Lynn takes on Justin Credible. Credible has an entire entourage in his corner, including Chastity, Jason and Nicole Bass, and their involvement in this match at times bordered on excessive. But the match begins to hit it's peak when Lynn puts Credible through a table with a hurricanrana, and it's all fantastic from...

Curious Crab

One Monday night my mom looked into my crabitat and found that a crab had climbed into one of my fake trees. It was in the top branch. I looked in later, and found that the crab had fallen out of the tree. I hope he is okay. What a day!
