John Cena vs Samoa Joe- Tables Match
There was certainly a lot of bad blood between these two men, who spent the early portion of the match brawling. It was John Cena who punished Samoa Joe on the outside, with pure hatred the likes of which we normally don't see. Cena was determined to get revenge, and he did, lifting Joe to the top rope before sending him crashing through the table with a super Attitude Adjustment!
Winner: John Cena
Bludgeon Brothers(c) vs The Balor Club- SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson fought the good fight, doing absolutely everything they could to dethrone the champions, with Anderson even managing to hit Rowan with the Gun Stun. But Rowan survived to make the hot tag to Harper, who cleaned house, eventually putting Anderson away with the discus clothesline.
Winners and still SmackDown Tag Team Champions: The Bludgeon Brothers
Kairi Sane(c) vs Charlotte Flair- SmackDown Women's Championship Match
Charlotte Flair was on another level in this contest, with the potential of lifting the championship driving her forward. Multiple times, Kairi was in trouble, kicking out narrowly of two Spears and only staying alive by countering Natural Selection. Sane did manage to lock in the Anchor, but Flair in an expert at the submission game, finding a way to escape. But Kairi got aggressive, unleashing some wicked rights and lefts from a Lou Thesz Press, keeping Charlotte down long enough for the InSane Elbow to connect and end the match.
Winner and still SmackDown Women's Champion: Kairi Sane
Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn
These two best friends and former tag champions knew each other so well, and put on a hell of a battle, trading near fall after near fall. In the end, Sami didn't quite have the killer instinct Kevin possesses, and was put away with the Pop-Up Powerbomb.
Winner: Kevin Owens
Post-Match
As Kevin celebrated, Sami re-entered the ring, and was ready to make peace. He offered a handshake, which KO seemed to consider. But Owens then hit Zayn with a kick to the groin, then a second Pop-Up Powerbomb! Kevin Owens was finished being Sami Zayn's friend, and sent that message loud and clear tonight.
Ricochet(c) vs AJ Styles vs Andrade "Cien" Almas- Intercontinental Championship Match
Andrade was certainly the one most of his element in this match, without Zelina Vega at ringside to dictate his gameplan. Almas still controlled much of the contest, using his vicious strikes to keep the high fliers grounded. But after hitting Styles with the hammerlock DDT, he spent too much time gloating, allowing Ricochet to take him out with a reverse frankensteiner and then put AJ away with the 630 senton.
Winner and still Intercontinental Champion: Ricochet
Asuka vs Nia Jax
After their previous battle at Backlash, these two women knew each other well, and this was a very even match with plenty of heavy strikes. In the end, Nia had a chance to connect with the samoan drop, but Asuka slipped out and applied the Asuka Lock in the middle of the ring, tapping Nia out.
Winner: Asuka
Drew McIntyre(c) vs Daniel Bryan- WWE Championship Match
Even with a new approach and a new more aggressive in ring style, Daniel Bryan was still at the mercy of Drew McIntyre. McIntyre tossed Bryan from pillar to post, nearly ending the match several times. Bryan had to dig deep to kick out of the Future Shock, but any attempt at a comeback was stifled. McIntyre busted Bryan wide open with big rights and lefts on the ground, and soon the blood was flowing onto Bryan's chest. But even despite everything, Daniel Bryan fought on. The American Dragon took some big risks in this match, and took an even bigger one late, managing to hit the flying headbutt. That move took a lot out of Bryan, and McIntyre was able to recover and drop the challenger with a headbutt of his own. The champion signaled for the Claymore Kick, the move that ended Bryan at Summerslam. But Bryan had it scouted, and dropped McIntyre with a big roundhouse kick! Bryan backed up to the corner, and hit the running knee! But Drew was still moving, so Daniel backed up, and hit another running knee! And still, Drew McIntyre was stirring! A third running knee, and finally the Scottish Psychopath seemed to be out. One.................two......................three! With three running knees, Daniel Bryan finally becomes WWE Champion, and celebrated with the Seattle crowd and his family to close the show.
Winner and the NEW WWE Champion: Daniel Bryan
