Asuka(c) vs Bayley- SmackDown Women's Championship Match

The champion hasn't quite looked her best in recent weeks following the Iron Woman Match with Kairi Sane, and Bayley would take advantage. With Sasha Banks watching on, the Huggable One was in stupendous form, coming very close to winning the championship several times. But even after taking the Bayley to Belly and the elbow drop, Asuka was still kicking out, still persevering. In the end, the Empress won another tough battle, applying the Asuka Lock and forcing Bayley to tap.

Winner and still SmackDown Women's Champion: Asuka

Pete Dunne(c) vs Elias- United Kingdom Championship Match

The Drifter gave it his best shot tonight, weathering the storm of Pete Dunne as best he could and even managing to hit his Drift Away finisher. But the Bruiserweight got a rope break, and sensing his title could be in trouble, managed to quickly hit the Bitter End to put Elias away.

Winner and still United Kingdom Champion: Pete Dunne

The Woken Warriors(c) vs The Usos- SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match

This was an high octane, back and forth match as both teams traded big moves one right after another. In the midst of the chaos, Jey, worse for wear, tagged in his brother Jimmy, who ran right into Bray Wyatt's Sister Abigail and The Woken Warriors held onto their titles.

Winners and still SmackDown Tag Team Champions: The Woken Warriors

Becky Lynch(c) vs Paige- Raw Women's Championship Match

These two women bring out the best in each other, as Becky Lynch and Paige revived their rivalry with another classic match. The ropes would prove to be a huge factor in this match, as Paige forced a rope break in the Dis-arm-her and Lynch was too close to the bottom rope following the RamPaige, and the challenger lost time dragging her clear. Both champion and challenger were ferocious throughout the contest, but it was Lynch who struck big, hitting the Bex-ploder off the top rope. From there, the Dis-arm-her was applied in the middle of the ring, and Paige tapped out.

Winner and still Raw Women's Champion: Becky Lynch

Kevin Owens(c) vs Daniel Bryan- WWE Championship Match

Daniel Bryan was on fire tonight in Philly, giving the new WWE Champion all he could handle. Owens' biggest moves were mostly just avoiding Bryan's aerial assault, countering several elbow drops and flying headbutts. But it all might have for naught when Bryan managed to apply the Yes! Lock, forcing Owens to grab the official to buy a second to escape. After just avoiding the running knee, Owens began to look for a count-out victory. But Bryan was having none of it, taking Owens out with a big suicide dive. Bryan then went up top again, determined to connect on a hurricanrana. But Owens caught Bryan in mid-air, and delivered an earth-shattering powerbomb! Then he sent Bryan off the ropes, and hit the Pop-Up Powerbomb! 1.................2..................3! Kevin Owens proves himself a worthy WWE Champion, and Daniel Bryan is forced to go to the back of the line.

Winner and still WWE Champion: Kevin Owens

Shinsuke Nakamura(c) vs Roman Reigns- Universal Championship Match

From the opening bell, this was an incredibly physical match that saw both men land big haymakers. Early on, Reigns would hit the Superman Punch, only for Nakamura to land the inverted powerslam to even things up. But after Nakamura sent Reigns to the outside, the Big Dog turned the tables, drilling the champion with a Spear on the outside. From there, this was Reigns' match to lose. He stayed in control, countering several attempted Kinshasas and nearly putting the champion away multiple times. Finally, Reigns managed to connect on another Superman Punch, and had the opening to hit the Spear! 1....................2..................but no! Shinsuke kicked out at two! Roman was incredibly frustrated, and let his emotions get the better of him, yelling at the official about the count. This gave Nakamura a chance, and he took it with gusto. Nakamura spiked Reigns on the back of his neck with a Saito suplex, and then got all of the Kinshasa to put the challenger down for three. With that win, every championship was retained here in Part 1 of the Royal Rumble.

Winner and still Universal Champion: Shinsuke Nakamura

American Dad "Twinanigans" Review

It's been a while since the last Steve and Roger episode, and this week reminded me why that's such a classic American Dad pairing. This is a genuinely fun episode, filled with some great one liners and even a great callback to the show's past. "Twinanigans" centers around the heretofore unmentioned acting careers of Roger and Steve, who twinned it up as the Smith Brothers. I'm not going to question whether this backstory actually makes sense to the overall timeline; no one watches American Dad for continuity. Steve had to give up acting to attend kindergarten, and wants to give Roger a second chance at greatness. The two head to auditions, where Steve impresses and Roger blows it. It's here the episode kinda misfires, as it's never made abundantly clear why Roger struggles so much at acting. Is he just trying too hard, does he have some form of stage fright, does he not even know what acting is? This part of the story is just never explained, w...

Henry's Pay-Per-View Reviews: ECW Heatwave 1998

As the world collectively loses it's mind over the coronavirus(this could be a fun intro to look back on in the future), the only sanity that can be found is in the ring. Let's take a look today at what is often considered ECW's finest outing, Heatwave '98. - Jokes aside, everyone should stay safe out there. I know it's easy to panic about these mass outbreaks, and I've certainly felt very nervous about everything I've heard and read over the past week. But I think we all need some fun in our lives right now, and this show is the epitome of distraction. - The opening contest is one of the highlights of the night, as Jerry Lynn takes on Justin Credible. Credible has an entire entourage in his corner, including Chastity, Jason and Nicole Bass, and their involvement in this match at times bordered on excessive. But the match begins to hit it's peak when Lynn puts Credible through a table with a hurricanrana, and it's all fantastic from...

Curious Crab

One Monday night my mom looked into my crabitat and found that a crab had climbed into one of my fake trees. It was in the top branch. I looked in later, and found that the crab had fallen out of the tree. I hope he is okay. What a day!
