The Dog League: Week 2 Review(2019 Season)

Tailwaggerz hits a stumbling block and Leaping Girl soars in Week 2 of the 2019 Season. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com)

Game 1: Tug of War(137.22) vs Leaping Girl(158.7)

ANALYSIS

Led by her Patriots defense(42 points) and new breakout star Austin Ekeler(23.3 points), Emma has taken first place just two weeks into the year. Despite all the issues that plagued her team in preseason, she continues to look strong for the future, with Chris Godwin(26.1 points), Lamar Jackson(30.88 points) and Vance McDonald(22.8 points) providing good depth on the bench. This was another disappointing loss for Tug of War, as they have faced the top scoring team in the league in both of the first two weeks of the year. Their team put forth a very strong performance, though they do face issues at the quarterback position, with Philip Rivers(10.92 points) and Jacoby Brissett(16.34 points) not really up to the normal Dog League standards.

Game 2: Ridiculous Rascals(144.06) vs Tailwaggerz(99.36)

ANALYSIS

A great game on Sunday night from Julio Jones(27.6 points) sealed Rascal's first win of the year, but props have to be given to surprising star Mark Andrews(25.2 points) who helped open up a big lead during the day. The biggest concern for Rascal will be the health of James Conner(13.5 points) as his backups James White(11.9 points), Leonard Fournette(12.7 points) and Marlon Mack(8.3 points) did little to capture the imagination. This was an awful day for the defending champions, as it took until Monday night for any sort of scoring to emerge, thanks to Odell Beckham(28.1 points). Looking forward, there are massive problems for this team at the running back position, as David Johnson(8.4 points) exited with an injury and Alvin Kamara(7 points) will miss Drew Brees heavily over the next two months.

Game 3: Rare Woofs(142.96) vs Bark Force(135.62)

ANALYSIS

New year, same result, as Bark Force drops another game to Rare Woofs. A big day from Patrick Mahomes(31.62 points) gave them a chance, but Nick Chubb(19.8 points) fell just short of completing a Monday night comeback. The finger of blame will likely be pointed at DeAndre Hopkins(9 points) this week, who will be on the hot seat to bounce back in Week 3, with this team already 0-2. Meanwhile, Rare Woofs' more underappreciated stars delivered, as Tom Brady(24.66 points), Dalvin Cook(28.1 points) and Travis Kelce(23.7 points) led the way for last year's runner-ups who have started off the year with two straight wins. Rare Woofs were an early favorite after the draft, and with a starting lineup peppered with stars and a bench full of talent, the smart money in on them to be one of the championship contenders for the rest of the year.

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
