The Dog League: Week 3 Review(2019 Season)

Rare Woofs keeps on cruising while Leaping Girl and Tailwaggerz engage in a shootout in Week 3 of the Dog League. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com)

Game 1: Tug of War(131.24) vs Rare Woofs(142.24)

ANALYSIS

Running backs Dalvin Cook(24.3 points) and Christian McCaffrey(27.8 points) led the way for Rare Woofs' third straight win to open the season, giving them the undisputed lead atop the league. Amari Cooper(26.8 points) was also excellent, while Cooper Kupp(33.2 points) provides an intriguing weapon off the bench. A large amount of the loss for Tug of War falls onto an early injury taken by Saquon Barkley(7.7 points) which leaves them without much depth at the running back position. A great game from Keenan Allen(43.6 points) at least provided a highlight, but this team is struggling big to start the year, now 0-3 and left without their top pick for the next two months.

Game 2: Tailwaggerz(159.04) vs Leaping Girl(151.28)

ANALYSIS

Mistakes and missed opportunities plagued Leaping Girl this week, as she lost her first game of the year after deciding to start Lamar Jackson(21.28 points) over Russell Wilson(41.34 points). She also left Mark Ingram(35.5 points) and Phillip Lindsay(29 points) on her bench, and all of this wasted scoring meant that a dominant game from Mike Evans(45 points) was all for naught. Meanwhile, Tailwaggerz bounces back with a win, as their stars Deshaun Watson(25.84 points) and Alvin Kamara(37.1 points) did enough to move them back up into second place.

Game 3: Bark Force(140.86) vs Ridiculous Rascals(112.2)

ANALYSIS

Rascal built a big lead early, largely thanks to Julio Jones(26.8 points) and Adam Thielen(20.6 points), but James Conner(7.7 points) disappointed yet again and Rascals was blown out of the water and finished off on Sunday night. Greg Olsen(25.5 points) was the one who lead the comeback, and Nick Chubb(17.1 points) finished it off, and Bark Force was victorious for the first time in 2019. They do have to be concerned with the play of Todd Gurley(4.3 points) who did not look like himself against the Browns as well as another quiet day from DeAndre Hopkins(12.7 points).

Latest Update on new puppy

As you may well know from my mom's posts, there is a handsome puppy in the house. His name is Rascal, which appropriately fits him. Before Tuesday, he'd never had much problem with the crate, something I found interesting. He'd also never experienced anxiety issues when people came and left. Then yesterday, my dad and I were standing in the driveway organizing things for a trip to Goodwill. All of a sudden, Rascal freaked out. Some history behind the newest member of our family. Rascal was a stray in Hollister, when CARE, a rescue organization, found him. At this time Rascal was estimated to be about 2 months old, the age of a puppy when you first get them. He went to another family, who had him for quite a while, around 5 months. Then, without explanation, this family moved to Ohio, surrendering Rascal. CARE once again had him and his crazy antics for about a month. Rascal's name was changed to Boots in his time with CARE, but he wouldn't answer to that name. He ...

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
